Technician Kenneth finally fixed today a poor and backwards mis-installation by William and JT some weeks ago; they obviously did not know how to install a new hot water circulator and check valve that was inordinately expensive (over $450 in labor and pats cost) with a new TACO pump supplied by me. While William did not lack in self-confidence, they surely lacked in knowledge and ability to install the equipment properly. William seemed more interested in completing the job quickly at very high cost than properly installing and testing the "instant" hot water system. Cummings Plumbing should hire more qualified technicians like Kenneth and far fewer inexperienced technicians like William. Kenneth was really knowledgeable and great; William was not! This was a very disappointing and frustrating experience that makes me question whether ever to use Cummings Plumbing in the future. Kenneth W. 11/15/17 |

We have used Cummings for years and called them today to install a kitchen sink faucet. When the plumber arrived he said they had new flat rate pricing and the charge would be $304, after a senior discount. We were over a barrel so we went ahead, but I felt WAY over charged. It was a twenty minute job.

Cummings Plumbing, Heating & Cooling sent JT to my residence previously to install 2 new water heaters to replace two old ones that were installed in 2005. JT did an outstanding job installing both water heaters timely and professionally. Once again my third water heat that was also installed in 2005 started leaking yesterday in the garage. I called Cummings Plumbing Heating and Cooling again yesterday since the last time they worked at my home, their service and knowledge was impeccable. I ask if they could send JT back to my residence since he did such a great job installing the last two water heaters. He was dispatched on the date and time I requested and he showed up ready to go to work. This young man is absolutely knowledgeable. He completed the work within the time frame given and gave me some additional information on what he had observed with my piping that needed repair. The serviceman told us that our garbage disposal had a smaller motor than what it does have. When we bought the house we were informed that better than average builder grade disposals were installed. This is the first and only time we had a problem only due to my mistake of putting a carrot head in the disposal without cutting it up like I usually do. I have never had any problems and the disposal does have stainless steel blades not the cheaper blades that the service rep told us. He was trying scare tactics to sell us another disposal, and I don't like this kind of pushy tactic to get me to spend money I don't have. 11/04/17 |

We woke up to a flood on our first floor and I called Cummings who came within 30 minutes of the call. It was early morning and they got right to work letting us know what needed to happen. They also called in the Restoration Team to start drying out the place. It was a great help not having to figure out what the next step should be. Over the next week they were here when they said they were going to be and I appreciated the text to give me a heads up on when they would arrive. They were very conscientious about the work. Levi and Jack did a great job for us, and the customer service of the office staff was excellent as well. I appreciated their professionalism and their help throughout the process. I called Cummings for an estimate to replace an old gas pipeline from the meter to our house and to replace a 15 yr old hot water heater. ***** came out the next day and after inspecting the area gave a clear and comprehensive estimate. He came inside the house and inspected the current water heater and gave his recommendation for a replacement and how the replacement would also update the piping and area around the heater. I also had another plumbing company come and give an estimate, which was twice as high as Cummings, without including the water heater! Needless to say I went with Cummings. Ed and Jareth arrived on time to do the work and they did so with a very positive and professional manner and work ethic. I was very impressed with their willingness to talk with me and explain what they were doing and why. The pipe installation was well done as was the water heater installation.
