Jeff & Andrew did an awesome job installing our new HVAC system. They were friendly and professional, took time to do the job right and answer all our questions. We understand that properly installed HVAC system is extremely important, and they took the time to properly seal all the joints and replace all the rusted vents & piping. Took advantage of a spring tune up offer. Cleaned & tuned the furnace and A/C and found that I have a slow leak in the system. The service representative was very personable, knowledgeable about what he was doing, and real world realistic with expectations of the estimated life of our system and advantages that upgrades may offer. Some time ago, after hearing from another HVAC that I urgently needed a new furnace/ac, I contacted this company for an estimate. The sales rep did a very thorough review of my existing system and honestly indicated that things weren't quite so dangerous. Fast forward to spring 2016, I contacted Columbus/Worthington Air to do my maintenance visits. I am so impressed! Kurt M was thorough, professional, and kind. His careful examination of my equipment was the best I have ever experienced. He pointed out some problems with the current system and told me what they would cost to repair. I declined the repair at this time, thinking that I likely will replace the system in the not distant future. Matt H came to do a Spring check-up of my 12 yr old AC unit. It was a second opinion following a horrible experience with Atlas Butler with whom I have a service contract. Without telling Matt what Atlas Butler's diagnosis was, he performed the entire check-up and then gave me a new report, 100% different than Atlas Butler's lazy tech. Matt also explained the entire AC system to me. He saved me several thousand dollars since Atlas Butler wanted to sell me a new AC system which was totally unnecessary. As soon as I can extricate my HVAC system from Atlas Butler's service contract, I will be switching companies to Columbus Worthington Air. Thank you Matt! 05/04/16 |

We had an eye-opening experience on Saturday, April 30th, when Matt H. of Columbus Worthington Air came to do a Spring Check-up on our 12 year old AC system. This was actually a “second-opinion†call. We are not CWA customers but unfortunately have a service contract with Atlas Butler. Three days prior to Matt’s arrival, we had our Spring Check-up with Atlas Butler, fully covered under the service contract. Not only did the AB tech not perform the full inspection (he declined to go into my attic to look at the system), he tried to scare us into buying a new AC and/or entire HVAC system. He informed me the coolant was dangerously low, the system should not be turned on, and he wanted to schedule a Home Comfort Specialist (i.e., salesman) to come to our home THAT NIGHT to talk about the expensive fix to the coolant leak and the preferred option of buying a new system from Atlas Butler. AB tech left without providing any paperwork report, but he did secure an appointment for the salesman to come out later in the week. We were suspicious and I called CWA to come for a second opinion, which we paid for out-of-pocket since the initial Atlas Butler inspection was covered under our service contract.
Matt H. came to our rescue! He did the thorough inspection that was required, even climbed into my spider-web-covered attic crawlspace (!), and after 40 minutes, informed us that the AC was fully functional and was nowhere near being low on coolant. He also explained the entire inspection and how a tech would know if there was a coolant leak and how an AC system actually works. After Matt educated us, we then had a nice chat with him about Atlas Butler’s deceptive sales practices. It is unfortunate that we are tied to Atlas Butler until the service contract expires, but as soon as it does, we will become new clients of Columbus Worthington Air. Matt, thanks again! They always deliver professional service with an eye for detail and are genuinely concerned about ensuring we have the best comfort our current HVAC system can provide. When they do recommend new purchases (services or parts), it's always done matter of fact, and we're educated on how or why they are necessary. This visit, Rob E was great - not only taking care and time to really figure out a pesky problem, but also in explaining everything he was looking at to us and walking us through what was going on with our system. We just had a complete system replacement (high efficiency furnace and AC) performed by Columbus Worthington Air. Our techs were Jeff C., Ba P. and Kevin H., all of whom were extremely professional and courteous. The weather was horrible (rained all day long) and they took great care to protect our hardwood floors from the front door to the basement. Although the install took from 8:30 to 6:30, the guys never stopped working. The installation was well organized and neat. They didn't make any assumptions about the installation; rather, they asked me for my input whenever their was a question about the installation. They took the time at the end of the job to go over the operation and maintenance of the system. I would hire CWA again in a minute if I ever need to replace a furnace or AC. Had a great experience with Jeff B , Andy V, and Kevin (new employee). Installation of a new furnace and AC went well considering our house is 58 years old and sits on a slab. Jeff had a ton of rework considering the furnace being replaced was the homes original so I'm sure it took longer to do than hoped...but his work was excellent. Andy and Kevin handled the majority of the AC without any issues from my perspective. They arrived on time, had pleasant personalities and knew their jobs well.
