On 04/28/2010 we purchased a 95% Upflow Ruud Furnace manufactured by Rheem Manufacturing Company. Account number 127103 is germane. The furnace was installed on 05/09/2010 by “Romiro and Carmello”.
In early October 2013, we scheduled with your company a pre-season furnace tune up and safety inspection. We were initially advised by your staff that we did not qualify for the pre-season tune up special being offered. However, our recent purchase and installation of the new furnace and that it had not been serviced since installation, the pre-season tune-up and safety inspection special was approved and scheduled for Friday 10/25/2013. Service order 276789 is germane.
Your Senior Service Technician Rudy arrived as scheduled and spent the next two and one half hours correcting installation problems discovered during the tune-up process. In layman terms, Rudy found that our heating system type was a two stage system. However, the second stage was not hooked up during installation. In short, our newly installed heater has only worked in stage one and the condensate pump has been stationary in that stage two was never hooked up. In addition, Rudy subsequently discovered that the installed Honeywell touch-screen programmable thermostat could not be programmed for the two stage heating system in that the thermostat was for a single stage heating system. Rudy replaced, installed and programmed a Honeywell two stage heating system thermostat. He then successfully conducted an operational test of the heating system and thermostat. From our perspective, it was a very worthwhile tune-up and safety inspection.
In view of the above, I believe it essential that Walter Anderson Plumbing, Inc. review their quality control installation program. I would also hope that the company will capitalize on Rudy’s knowledge and experience by assigning him to a heating system post-installation quality control team!

Mike performed a whole house inspection of our plumbing system and to drain and flush our water heater. My wife and I liked Mike and his professionalism from the time he rang our doorbell. He made a big impression after he introduced himself and presented his business card without my wife having to ask. Often, in dealing with contractors and outside service people they are not prepared with simple professional calling card but Mike was prepared and it made a big impression.
The primary reason we needed Anderson Plumbing Heating and Air was to perform recommended drain and flush of our water heater. During his service on the water heater Mike was very informative of why the service is important and things to do to maintain the unit. One of the key elements in the heater is a consumable zinc rod that should be inspected and replaced every 2 - 3 years. Fortunately, ours was inspected and OK for another year.
In addition to the water heater my wife and I needed information on our non-functioning soft water system. Mike was straight forward and provided good suggestions on how to make the system more effective, and maintenance free.
Mike was very thorough in inspecting each bathroom, shower and kitchen connections. Although he did not find any major problems he did offer some preventive maintenance improvements that my wife and I consider worthwhile.
As I mentioned earlier, Mike was very professional. He answered every question my wife and I had. His answers were straight forward and his recommendations will certainly be considered. My wife and I believe that part of the professionalism that Mike showed was due to the overall training and management of the company. If the other service representatives of the company are as well trained and thorough the company will certainly be successful.

Jose came to my house on an emergency call late Saturday night. I will spare myself the embarrassment of how I managed to break the tank to my toilet upstairs. Anyway, the tank cracked and water was everywhere. Water immediately found its way downstairs and was leaking through my light fixtures and small cracks below. I thought it would be a good idea to remove the tank altogether, thus cutting the heck out of my hands on shards of sharp porcelain. It was a nightmare scene when Jose arrived with my hands bleeding, me sweating like a madman trying to keep buckets beneath the leaks. He was a calming influence in my crazed frenzy. Once the leaking subsided he calmly explained my options, and gave me a good choice for payment.
Without even mentioning to him that I recently observed that my house had a slow leak that another plumber misdiagnosed, he pressure tested the house and found the issue. He came back a few days later to find the exact cause of the leak, and was just as happy as I was to report that it was in a valve outside of the house. He also installed the new toilet tank upstairs for no additional charge. While he completed the repairs he answered a ton of my questions about the plumbing in the old house that we purchased just a year ago. He pointed out problem areas that I would never of thought might be an issue and had manageable solutions that would save me money.
I found Jose to be very honest, thorough, and extremely knowledgable! He sounded like he really enjoyed working for Anderson, and in my experience, happy employees, usually provide excellent service to clients like me. I had a less than good experience with the first technician who came out. He did a cursory exam of the AC and said we needed a new one. He also broke the pop up on the sink which the plumber was unable to fix. When Erin cam to give us the estimate for the new one, she patiently listened, apologized and handled things BRILLIANTLY. We already had an appointment with another company to come evaluate the AC but she convinced us to allow you to send another tech out - Jerrod - ALSO FABULOUS. Jerrod was much more thorough and actually diagnosed what was wrong and tried SO hard to repair it (unfortunately unsuccessfully) but we were given a credit on our new system for what we paid him. It is only because of Erin and Jerrod that we will continue to be VIP members with Anderson's. 09/20/13 |

Although I had to wait a week and a half for an appt to fix my AC, they provided excellent customer service. I appreciated the follow up appt confirmation and prompt arrival!
