We had our ducts cleaned and sealed on Monday. Durrell and Torrell were here on time for the cleaning. Tyler and Steven took care of the sealing, also on time. Both teams were very friendly and took the time to explain what the process was. Care was also taken to protect the walls and floors from the process. Steven and Tyler informed us about each step of the sealing. They even offered to help put the furniture back for us. The teams promptness, knowledge and kindness is outstanding. My father had just hired Amistee's #1 local competitor earlier the same week for service at his house. We both saw got to see each company perform and it was clear that Amistee had a clear edge. The guys at Amistee were very courteous and professional. The cleaning went well, they showed me before and after photos of my ductwork and the price, with coupon, was comparable to other companies. They were fast and flexible with their scheduling. Of all the companies I've had going through my new home prior to move-in, they were the most conscientious -- careful with their equipment, always wearing shoe covers, and asking about any other concerns that I may have. AMISTEE AIR DUCT CLEANING AND SEALING. ALL OF THE MEN THAT WORKED ON MY DUCTS WERE VERY PROFESSIONAL IN THEIR WORK. THEY CLEANED UP EVERY AREA THEY WORKED IN. THEY EXPLAINED EVERY THING THEY WERE DOING AS THEY WENT ALONG. JAKE AND RYAN DID HE SEALING OF OUR DUCK WORK. IT DID GET COLD DURING THE SIX HOURS THEY WORKED. I TRIED TO LIGHT MY FIRE PLACE TO GET SOME HEAT AND I WAS HAVING TROUBLE WITH THE PILOT LIGHT. JAKE TOOK TIME TO GET IT WORKING SO WE COULD WARM UP. WE PICKED ONE OF THE COLDEST DAY OF THE YEAR. (OUR BAD) WHEN WE WOKE THE NEXT MORNING WE HAD MORE HEAT THEN WE HAVE HAD IN A WHILE. THE SEALING AND CLEANING WORKED GREAT. "The Robs" came to our home on Saturday, January 3. They did a FANTASTIC job for us. They were courteous, explained EVERYTHING in detail, cut off old register vents that has been painted over for years WITHOUT marring the walls or chipping the paint, the even took the old vent covers away when I informed them we have new ones to put on. It was a cold day and they put in a 'screen' to block out as much of the cold air as possible. We had the vents cleaned once by another company when we first bought the house about 3 years ago. Last year we replaced three bathrooms in the house taking each one to the studs so there was probably a build up of dust and debris from that project. Amistee did a much more thorough job than the last company. They spent approximately three hours at the house going from the basement, to the first floor, and then up to the second floor. I could hear the debris coming up the tube from the basement. One of the Robs also helped my son move his king sized bed to get to the vent in his room. We also contracted with them to clean the furnace. Here too they did an awesome job. At one point a question came up about the furnace and the other Rob reached out to his boss and there were able to resolve the issue discovering that we had a blockage in one of the drainage tubes. Alex E and Josh S did a great job cleaning our ducts in preparation for the duct sealing performed by Tyler F. Tyler did a great job not only sealing the heating supply ducts, but also a significant portion of the return air system. The improvement was noticeable immediately! A problem room is now significantly warmer! All involved did a super job cleaning up afterward! I would definitely recommend the duct sealing service, especially for older homes like ours! We hired this company to clean our vents. Prior to the cleaning our house was very dusty all the time, no matter how much we cleaned, vacuumed or mopped. The technician recommended sealing our ducts with a process called aeroseal. Best decision we ever made! Basically it’s a process that shoots a sealant into and closes any gaps in our ductwork.
