I have used Reed & Sons for numerous plumbing issues, inside and out. Sherri at reception is always very polite and professional and set me up with a timely appointment. The repair was to find a leak that caused water damage to the living room ceiling. Brandon and Gary showed up on time and were very professional (wore booties over their shoes). They assessed the problem and luckily found the issue and repaired it within a few hours. They were happy to explain the problem to me and show me what they were repairing. Vince has completed lots of work at my house to include a new pressure tank and whole home water filtration system. Never had an issue with Reed and Sons till now.
However had another technician show up to fix a small pin hole leak in a pipe and instead of replacing the 8 inch section the first time he just replaced the little spot where one pin hole leak was, $230. Then leaked again 10 minutes later and had to wait for him to come back out to fix it. Then he proceeded to tell me he would have to charge me again for this work, which was fixing the original leaking pipe. Told him I’d call the main office and figure it out with them and he didn’t want me to do that. He then proceeded to guilt trip me into “billed hours” boss said to charge. Until he decided to write up the work somehow to cover his previous and then told me the office would decide whether I would be billed again. I leave for work and come home 3 days later to find the coupling he installed was cracked and had been leaking and spraying water all over my basement. So now I have no water to the house until they open again. And hundreds of dollars in damage to construction materials, tools, paint, walls, and flooring. Hard to trust certain technicians when this happens and they do not have an emergency number to call if you have any issues. Hopefully they make it right the third time around. Vince. 01/09/22 |

Reed and Sons always does a GREAT job for us! Frank, our usual technician, is on time (a big deal for us), always friendly (even when hes had to crawl into the attic for repairs!), and efficient. He always remembers our house and asks how previous work is holding up.
They always wear foot coverings and now masks too! (which has been an issue with other contractors we've had out recently so thank you!) We receive an estimate on the spot and it is quick and easy to get the work going!
I never feel as though they try to sell me services or upgrades that aren't necessary. Frank is honest and answers all my questions patiently, despite quite a few of them being elementary and redundant as I attempt to understand plumbing. KC. 06/30/21 |

We had a bathtub issue that we couldn't fix ourselves, so I called Reed and Son who are my favorite plumbers in the area. They showed up within a few hours, took about 20 minutes to fix the issue. Brandon was not only prompt, but arrived early. He was very personable and patient with all of my questions. He was very informative as I dragged him around my house asking about different plumbing issues and for advice. He told me up front EXACTLY what was wrong, how to fix it, how much it would cost, and how to prevent things from going wrong in the future.
The re-piping under my kitchen sink was done quickly, and he left the area that he had to work in clean and tidy.

Initial visit worker mentioned reverse osmosis system was very old and likely needed replacing..I mentioned that I believe that the system was under 5 yrs old However I'd need to look closer at my paperwork as I had only lived in home 1 yr. Worker went on to say that they likely lied to me and just gave me false info to sell home ..provided paperwork after uncomfortable discussion that confirmed system was not old and in fact 5 yrs old..worker did not further discuss and walked away to truck..won't use again due to confrontational manner and poor communication. Vince and Dakota are good communicators and very skilled at their trade. I have plumbing that is vintage to my 1958 home and would always appreciate it being repaired in a manner that preserves both the function and appearance of the original. Vince used a source for the exact matches for my shower/tub stems and diverter. These parts restored my fixtures to their original glory. The result is most satisfying.

I needed to have gas lines rerouted to accommodate a new range that I purchased. Vince and his assistant took a look at the situation and quickly came up with a few options with varying price points and explained them clearly to me. Once a decision was reached, they knocked the job out quickly and without any issues.
