Year after year, it is always a positive experience having AA Service Co out to service my furnaces. The personnel scheduling the appointments are pleasant, the technicians arrive at the scheduled time, their prices are competitive and the service is great. Kraig has been out to service my units the last several years and not only is he pleasant and good at performing the required service but he is always willing to take time to explain, answer questions and to provide maintenance suggestions. We are not very satisfied. We had to reserve our maintenance call months in advance because they are "booked up." When the service guy arrived he told my wife that our maintenance agreement had expired, and he charged us $267.00. I called the office the next day and found out that the agreement had NOT expired ... the guy told us a directly false statement. Then, he replaced the air filters that were only 3 months old (we are paying top dollar for 12 month filters). Then he tried to charge us for flame sensors that were quite new (the furnaces are only 2 years old). After I insisted, he agreed to replace them under warranty. Then he charged us for humidifier pads, although he didn't have them on hand, despite us telling him specifically NOT to. This is a lot to go wrong on one visit! I called the office (twice ... they did not return my call as promised) and they tried to placate me, but I did not get the sense that this was unusual for them. I assume that they are competent at their work but they will try to upcharge you for everything. Kraig H. 09/30/15 |
