My water heater had an intermittent leak for approximately 2 years until it finally decided it had enough of being in my house by becoming a constant leak. Of course, this was a Saturday night. I called Sunday afternoon after bailing out the drip pan about 100 times hoping it would heal itself while trying to barter with it. John returned my call within 10 minutes and asked several questions. He recommended waiting until Monday morning to get my situation under control. At about 0815 Monday morning, Andrea called to schedule a time for them to come out and remove my sad and tired water heater. I talked to her and John again about some options. Damon was at my house within an hour after getting off the phone. He had everything he needed and went over some options with me again. He got it done within four hours. That included draining both water heaters and putting a brand new shiny one in their place. He was also very patient. I am very very happy with the service I received from all parties involved. My new water heater is an AO Smith that sounds like a man's water heater when it fires off!! It's not loud, but you can tell it's serious! They didn't try to up-sell me anything. I felt they were very honest and helpful....which is something to be said. I have never written a review before, so that should also say something. I had a clogged bathtub drain and called another company out to take care of it. Over $400 later they told me that they were going to have to start digging up the pipe to find the trap and replace it and that it would possibly involve tearing out the bathtub. They said this would be in the $3,000 - $5,000 range. Before they came out to begin the digging work, I called and canceled the appointment.
I then called Pratt Plumbing. Gary was very knowledgeable and was willing to spend a few minutes on the phone with me educating me about the problem that I had. He recommended that Kiel come out to try to clear the drain. Kiel, who was extremely professional and knowledgeable, came out and he literally cleared the drain in less than 2 minutes. Pratt Plumbing and Kiel literally saved me thousands of dollars.
If you want a company that actually understands what providing a service is, and is in it for the long haul, call Pratt Plumbing. If you want a company that operates to turn as much of a profit as possible, customers be damned, take your chances on another company. Kiel S. 02/10/16 |

Woke up with no hot water. Checked out what I could check out and then called Pratt. Damon came out, investigated and found very quickly that my recirculating pump had seized. We had several tasks for the plumber professional to accomplish: install a gas stove, replace a toilet in our guest bath, and repair the shower handle in the master bath. Pratt Plumbing called to let us know that our service professional would be Kiel today and that he would arrive as scheduled. Kiel arrived on time with everything he needed to perform the work that we needed to have done. He was courteous, friendly, knowledgeable, efficient, and willing to do whatever it was that we needed to have done. When we encountered a small problem installing the gas stove (placement of the gas pipe), he quickly found a workable solution! All the work was completed as we had hoped and in a timely fashion. First, I was surprised how quickly Pratt scheduled me. I figured I would call them and they'd tell me it'd be 4 or 5 days until they could get to me. I was schedule for about 2 hours from when I called. Then John showed up and was professional and courtesy, and I couldn't have asked for anything better. I had a stopped up washer drain. I tried to get it free myself , and couldn't get it. I called Pratt plumbing. They sent out Kiel quickly to my house. He and I talked about what was going on with the drain. It took Kiel a very short time to fix and resolve my issue. I gave Pratt 5 stars for their promptness, knowledge,and their friendly service. I did try to post a previous review and at my age, have forgotten all I said and I don't know what I did wrong that caused it not to get posted. John was a very hard worker, making sure we were satisfied with and understood the solutions. The main goal was to repair the leak and get completed before the end of the day. That happened! As usual, the Pratt team members of Adrea and Kiel have provided prompt and quality service. On my most recent service call, the kitchen sink I purchased as a part of my major kitchen remodeling project had the drain for the garbage disposal in the wrong position. The drain was left center on the left double basin. This placed the garbage disposal too close to the cabinet center where the main plumbing lines were located. Kiel had cut out all of the old in cabinet plumbing assembly and replace and reroute the new assembly to the left of cabinet center. He completed the job in a thorough and efficient manner. For the amount of work and parts involved, he did the job quite quickly, which was to my advantage. On the other hand, I would think retailers selling sinks would inform customers of the importance of knowing where the drain hole for the garbage disposal needs to be located.
