Prompt service when we need help right away. The employees did a good job. I thought the quoted prices were way too high, but we needed a fix right away. They did the job well but a competitive company quoted a price of $300 to pump a septic. Cummings charged me $725 (which in the end included snaking the line). Also the initial price to snake the line was $500, even before we found out that the septic needed to be emptied. Again I thought that was too much. Kenneth M. 01/18/19 |

Trying to get return phone calls from Cummings has been terrible. It took many calls to them until I finally got a return phone call. I received a quote that only had a price for the work requested with no details at all as to what I was paying for. I made many more calls and finally got to talk with the person who came out to look at the work and asked for a detailed estimate. The response was a curt, "Fine" and a hang up. It has been more than 24 hours and I still have not received an updated estimate with details. I have used Cummings in the past and they did a wonderful job on replacing our heating system but this experience has led me to find another plumber. It shouldn't take a full business week to get an estimate and detailed quote. It is even worse, when the person who came out to look things over, knows we are under a time constraint. A whole crew worked on replacing all interior plumbing, all outside plumbing, a new hot water heater, and a whole new outside gas line. The crew was very diligent, on time, and very professional. I had cummings when I had a different house & knew I would. use then again if I needed too, they are so easy to talk to & there workers are very pleasant to work with & let you know what they were doing threw the whole process. Vincent and Adam were excellent! Really appreciated their professionalism and expertise. We were worried we wouldn’t be able to find a water heater to fit the small closet we have in our townhouse. Tried Home Depot and Lowe’s first but they did not have one that fit. Was referred to Cummings Plumbing Heating and Cooling. Vincent was here within an hour. He assessed the problem and they had a water heater that would fit. He had to order it and came back the next day on time. Excellent, the crews were prompt polite, clean, efficient and courteous. In the past I have found that most large companies rest on their laurels so to speak. I know now why Cummings plumbing is still a large plumbing company. They provide good service at a reasonable price for the work and get the job done quickly. Most of the time there were four trucks and at least six service members working on my project. The repairs were expensive expensive but a new much needed furnace was also installed at about half the price I was expecting it to be. The discount on the furnace was much appreciated. I would also like to thank MG for cleaning out my hot water heater while he was here, The next project is a new HVAC system, I think I know where I will go for that project.

I was informed by my water company that I had excessive water flow coming from my home, possible leak. I needed a plumber immediately to come and see what the problem was. I'm out in a rural area, so I immediately attempted to contact a plumber in my area. I called 3 different companies for assistance. One didn't know when and if they could even come out, couldn't give me any assurance if they could even come out. Second company said see you some time today that the tech would call me in 30 minutes to schedule a time (by the way, tech never called) and the third company after explaining the urgency of my situation said, Ill call you and come out if I can possible tomorrow. I explained to each company my usage was over 30,000 gallons, normally 4,000. I assumed it would be a lot easier to call locally in my area for a plumber, I was wrong. So I called Cummings Plumbing and Heating located in Tucson that is almost 30 miles away. I was upset, frantic and out of my mind due to my situation. The customer service agent was compassionate and understanding. I didn't even have time to explain the 30,000 gallons and she was scheduling a technician ASAP. The first 2 companies didn't have any compassion or urgency to assist me.
Jake showed up like a Knight on a white horse, was very polite and respectful. Jake figured out the problem and fixed it!!!!!!!!!!!!!
The point of me telling my story is that Cummings is a big and well known company in Arizona. And no matter how big or successful they are. They treat every call as a priority and go out of their way. The other companies I called could careless.
