During a scheduled air conditioning service to prepare for summer our technician discovered a hazardous breaker that had overheated in the past and was able to rectify the situation, routine maintenance is always better than a problem later in the middle of summer. Ken W. 03/13/19 |

New HVAC units were installed before we purchased the house and part of the house were not getting warm. Benchmark came out and upon investigation found our ductwork to be sized incorrectly for the units to operate efficiently. Darrell C. then came out and removed/ replaced all of the ductwork and now the whole house warms up quickly. Can't wit to see how the AC works this summer. We also asked Darrell to check out the exhaust fan in the 2nd bathroom as it would remain steamy after each shower. He installed a new exhaust fan and now the mirror does not even get foggy. Darrell and his partner were very courteous and took time to explain what they were going to do and when they would do it. Cleaned up after themselves as well. Benchmark came highly recommended by a colleague who has used this company for ac/heating repairs and needs for years. I couldn't agree more with this recommendation. Our entire experience with Mike and his team at Benchmark was great. Mike quickly assessed our broken ac/heating unit, gave us a very reasonable price to replace the unit (which was very old), and arranged to have his technicians install the unit on the Saturday of the same week we first contacted him since we have students present on weekdays and therefore couldn't have the installation happen during the week. The technicians showed up exactly when they were scheduled and did an excellent job installing the new unit. Mike and his team are highly skilled and knowledgeable, honest, professional and responsive to client needs. We will happily use this company for our future ac/heating needs. Today I had BENCHMARK air conditioning diagnose my 89 yr old mother’s a/c that stopped working on Saturday. Initially we were not sure who to call locally & I discovered this company online after doing some research. Certainly one thing that stood out beyond all others was their customer reviews, therefore, after reading these I decided to call & make an appointment. We both ... were not disappointed… our a/c service tech, Gabriel, was beyond kind & professional. He capably assessed/diagnosed the problem and with our consent replaced the broken part. Her a/c was completely functioning immediately afterwards. Being that she was pleased with this service she even decided to accept the annual a/c tune-up plan that they offer. Thus making sure that her unit is well maintained and checked 2x per year. So if you are looking for reputable services to your air or heating systems today or in the future ... please give Benchmark a call. We both believe that you won’t be disappointed. Thank you. Our a/c and gas bills have been reduced since the installation of a new unit in 2016 and the follow up servicing by Aaron G. He is technically proficient, informative, gives a closing detail explanation and is most courteous. Benchmark A/C installed new air conditioning unit in 2016 and has provided excellent followup servicing since installation. Aaron Galloway, who has been the follow up service representative, has been most courteous and informative. His tips and the new unit have helped us reduce our electric/gas bills substantially. Benchmark A/C has been servicing our unit for several years now. Everyone that has come out to our home has always been courteous, knowledgeable and efficient. The last visit (9/19/18) Gabriel Uribe was the service tech and when we inquired about the age of our unit (24 years) he was very honest and informative. He did a great job. Unbelievable, Ken and his assistant went right down to the source of it, figured out this complicated little machine & fixed the problem. They went above & beyond any AC service that I have ever had. From my first call they communicated well, the guys were on time even gave advanced notice & sent a picture so I would know who was coming to my door. Ken did a great job servicing our mini split system this July. He's the third technician we've had out to the house since moving in, but the first to know what the problem we have been having was caused by. He was able to fix our leaky unit, service all four, plus the condenser on the roof and had it all done in under 2 hours. Super friendly, knowledgeable, and explained everything! A/C died Friday at 5:30 pm. Called Benchmark ASAP.
Excellent customer service. Suzanne returned my call first thing Saturday morning. My technician Gabriel came out in 103 F temperatures and was knowledgeable and explained what was wrong with my compressor. He also showed me all the old parts so I could see what he was replacing. Excellent service. AC went out while I was out of town and it is as 107. Upon my return I contacted Benchmark and Mike came over and evaluated the problem. I had a quote in an hour and an entire new AIr conditioning system by quitting time. The next morning my son excitingly said “Dad it was so cool I slept under the covers.” Music to my ears.

Benchmark has a very professional team! All there techs are friendly, courteous, and knowledgeable. I have been using them for a few years, not just for the times the Bakersfield heat puts my unit to the test, but also for my annual tuneup.
I bought my current house less than a year ago, in which the seller of course failed to mention some of the problems. The ac being one of them. Not only do they tell you what’s wrong, they showed me pictures of the problems (my units on the roof), and the best way to address the issue.
Not only do they do any amazing job on residential ac, but my work has called them out to do industrial jobs as well. After they came out to install a pressure washer, our paint booth oven decided to die. After our "maintenance man" couldn't get it going after a day, the manager called Benchmark. Very highly recommended. The staff is honest and help client save money if the AC equipment can still be fixed or repaired. Have used Benchmark for A/C duties for years. Whether biannual maintenance or quick response to a major (in my mind) problem, they are unfailingly prompt, professional, knowledgeable and just plain nice. We had an excellent experience having a brand new AC unit installed by Benchmark. All of our technicians were friendly, communicative, professional and efficient. We were home while they worked on installing and our 4 yr old son was very inquisitive of the work they were doing and Ryan and Aaron even took time to chat with him here and there while they worked which I thought was really nice of them as well.
