$3500 to replace a water heater? RIDICULOUS. I ended up paying $1500 for the same job. Maybe you should use company money to reduce overhead from review software and automated systems and pass the savings on to your customers. i would NEVER recommend anyone to waist their time even getting an estimate from your company. 09/10/15 |

We recently used Sunshine Plumbing for another service- a thorough inspection of our heating and plumbing systems so that we're ready for winter. This was performed free as part of our membership in the Sunshine Club. I was very impressed by William's thoroughness and patience in showing me what he was doing and what I could do myself to prevent major issues in our home. He was courteous, friendly, punctual and efficient. He made minor repairs as he went along (much appreciated!) and alerted me to what would eventually need to be serviced or replaced. Total debacle attempting to make a appointment with this company. Had to go an entire week without A/C in my house. The answering service set an appointment with me for last Tuesday and no one showed up. Company said the answering service are not authorized to set appts for them. Long story short, my wife waited around a week for the technician to finally show up on 09/05/15. No I will not recommend this company to anyone. 09/05/15 |

Good overall experience Sunshine did a very good job. I was visited by Casey. He was courteous, professional and answered all my questions. The issue was a possible gas leak with the dryer. Xcel Energy had noticed a leak, although Casey's gauge did not. He suggested replacing the flexible gas connector as a precaution and explained it in a non-technical manner. Casey R. 09/04/15 |

A few miscommunications and a little trouble getting a straight answer on timing and estimated completion date, but they got it done early and didn't change anything with the estimate. My reason for not giving a 10 is that the technician informed me when he arrived that there is an additional $100 service charge for "difficult access" locations - my furnace is in the attic - but I was not informed of this when I made the appointment. Sunshine waived the charge this time, but I'm really not happy about this additional charge that was not transparent to me. I might shop around for another company that doesn't have such a charge. 08/31/15 |

We had a leak inside our wall that we needed repaired fast. I called around and Sunshine was the only place that 1) answered the phone and 2) could make it out to our residence the same day. They gave me a two hour time period and told me they'd call 30 minutes before they arrived. The office person I spoke with was courteous and helpful. Casey called me to let me know he was running a few minutes late, but arrived very close to the two hour window. When he arrived he was very nice and took care to wear booties over his shoes to keep from tracking anything into our home. He quickly diagnosed the problem and gave us an estimate. It was fairly reasonable and was able to fix the small leak within 20 minutes after we signed the estimate. One of the best parts about Sunshine was that for them to come to our house it only cost $29 which was waved if we used them for the repairs. Most places charge you $50-100 to just come to your house. We'd definitely use Sunshine again. Casey R. 08/26/15 |

I'm really in between a 3 and a 4. Our appointment was set for 8-10am. Someone from Sunshine called me to tell me that my technician would be there closer to the 11:00 end of the appointment. I was told on the phone that my time frame was 8-10. I told them that if they were going to be at the house at 11 then I would run out and do an errand since I had planned my morning around the service time and it was 9:30. They said that would be fine. I left my house and 20 minutes later someone called and told me they were on their way. I had already left the house. When I got home, I called Sunshine to see what they were thinking. They told me it would be closer to my 1:00 appointment time. My appointment time was 8-10. What else was I going to do but wait? Casey finally made it to my house at 12:30. Casey was great and very knowledgeable. He new exactly what he needed to do. When he went to turn the water off he found that there was a leak in the water meter that needed to be repaired by Denver Water. I will probably use Sunshine again to get the repairs needed once my HOA and Denver Water takes care of the water meter but I will make sure that I request Casey and request that my appointment is the first one of the day. I was able to schedule an appointment with Sunshine Plumbing in a very timely manner and the scheduler was nice to work with. The cost of the work we had done was very high. Mike was upfront with the cost, once he was able to see what needed to be done. We should have gotten estimates on the work before we hired the job out. Sunshine just finished a complete replacement of the boiler in my 100 year old Congress Park home. William Frew and crew did an excellent job, from the initial estimate, through the boiler removal (including asbestos mitigation), and the installation and setup of a new boiler. Not only is William an owner of Sunshine, but he did the initial consultation and estimate, and he personally did the boiler installation - no passing the work on to workers you haven't met. Through the entire process William was friendly, professional, detailed, and very respectful of being in our home. Every effort was made to be sure our carpets were covered, floors cleaned - in fact the boiler area was cleaner after the job than before! All levels of communication were on schedule, concise and followed up with text/email confirmations and reminders - a very nice service. Thanks William.. My five star rating is not based entirely on the job being done as expected. It is based more on how the unexpected was handled. Any job of this magnitude and expense, especially in an old home, will have some unforeseen surprises. It is how these hurdles are dealt with that separates the excellent from the good. The old boiler left a large hole in the concrete floor which needed to be filled, old pipes loosened when turned, air ducts and electrical circuits were creatively designed, hidden expansion tanks were discovered and removed, and the new circuit board was reset in consultation with the factory rep. We're looking forward to winter! - but we also look forward to recommending Sunshine Plumbing Heating Air to anyone in need of their services. William F. 08/14/15 |
