I have used them twice in the last 4 years to replace my hvac (2 different homes)
Highly recommed Joe or Daryl. Hvacs are expensive but they will really work with you and talk you through the process. Joe's team were really great and tackled the 2nd larger house. Although it is under unpleasant circumstances when I have to call Progressive, their service providers are considerate and thoughtful. I purchased my HVAC system from Progressive Service Company three years ago and have had the annual maintenance performed on it each year. The service has always been excellent from the time I had my first meeting with the sales rep (*****) through today when I had purchased the annual maintenance. **** called me last week to set it up and I told her that I would check my schedule and get back with her which I did a couple of days ago to schedule for today. She never pushed and was very pleasant. The service technician (*******) was excellent. He was prompt, professional, thorough, helpful and very pleasant. He explained the checklist that he completed and answered my questions in a pleasant manner. I received a call from ******* shortly before ******* left his last customer. She was also very pleasant. I am a purchasing manager for a company that owns and manages several apartment communities and I rarely receive this kind of excellent customer service with people who are pleasant to deal with. I like this company a lot. I came to them via five neighbors who use Progressive and have for years. I had an emergency, the a/c conked out, and they were here within two hours! They fixed the problem, and set me up with another appointment. They are installing a part which will help keep the unit from clogging and shutting down. My usual guy never told me my unit was missing a critical piece. Also I am having them install two new lines of ductwork and the price quoted was very reasonable. Booby seems to absolutely know what he is doing, and the office people couldn’t be nicer. I intend to use Progressive to take care of my whole house — HVAC, plumbing, and electrical. Had to ask three times for a recite still have not been notified about a inspection. Lisa seems to be the only one that gets anything done. This is my second time for a ac unit installation and after spending close to $13,000.00 plus plumbing repair I am NOT HAPPY!!! I had issues with noise made by air handler and cooling when I had my HVAC (Heat pump and air handler) unit replaced by another Vendor recently. That is when I reached out to Progressive Service Company to install another new heat pump and air handler.
Evaluation and Work-order: Joe Oliveira stopped by my home, took time to understand the problem that I was having with the unit, went back and discussed the issue with his team of experts and had a detailed work order sent to me with in a day.
Professionalism and Quality of work: On the day of the install Gene, Trevor (the installers), Moses (Install Manager) and Joe were at my home early in the morning. They patiently waited for the other Vendor to pull out the unit and then started installing the new one. They completed all the work (installing heat pump, air handler and thermostat) in about 5 hours. Joe stopped by again the same evening to make sure everything was working fine and to make sure that I was satisfied with the new system.
Customer Service and Experience: I am very impressed with the responsiveness and service provided to me by Christy Donaldson (HVAC Install Admin), Joe and the rest of the install team. Christy has touched base with me on several occasions (both prior to and post installation) to make sure everything was well and kept me informed about next steps in the process.

When our gas pack died, we got three estimates. The one from Progressive was comparable to the others, except that they included 10 years of free labor (as long as we paid a small fee to maintain the system every year), and a digital thermostat. In addition, we were referred to them by Duke Energy, so we will be receiving more than $300 back in rebates from Duke because Progressive is an approved vendor.
Darryl, the estimator, was clear and careful, the installers were absolutely great—efficient, neat and polite—and everyone at the company has been super responsive. We changed the date for installation (we moved it up), and they turned on a dime to accommodate us.

These guys were great! My AC was on its last legs, and even after it became clear that I'd need to get a new one, and I'd signed all the paperwork, Joe spent hours in the hot sun trying to put a bandaid on the old one, to get me through the next few days. Since the new system was installed, we had a few minor repairs, one the thermostat needed replacement, the there was a leak in the compressor, but they were fixed quickly after we reported. My air conditioning stopped working yesterday. I called Progressive last night. The sweet employee that answered the phone was super honest and helpful. They set me up for service today to have my A/C checked. I received a call from the technician, Jeremy D., and we agreed that he would be at my house at 1. When 1:00 PM rolled around, so did Jeremy D., right on time! He introduced himself and asked my about my A/C and what happened. After I explained to him what happened, he quickly went to the unit in the back yard and diagnosed it. He quoted me a price, told me he had the parts to repair it and that it could be done today. I told him to proceed with the repair and he did. The A/C is working perfectly and Jeremy D. cleaned up as he repaired the A/C. He did a stellar job, was friendly, knowledgeable, honest and I felt very comfortable with him repairing my A/C. What a wonderful experience and I highly recommend using Progressive for your A/C maintenance and repairs. After dealing with four HVAC companies and not being satisfied with proposals for a new system, I called Progressive. And Darryl Boswell was at my house about an hour later. Hi offering was clear as he explained the options available. In less than an hour, I was satisfied that we were offered the best system to suit our needs and at my target price. At 9:30 am the next morning, Alex, the lead installer and his assistant Anthony. Worked under an oppressively hot and rainy day to complete a perfect installation.
Our warranty includes 10 years for parts but even more surprising, 10 years labor as well as long as we agree to have Progressive check out system yearly for a modest charge.
A nice surprise, after the system was turned on was the sound level of the new compressor - VERY quiet.

We had a wonderful experience with Progressive, and in particular ****. We had a ceiling leak from a faulty toilet, and they came out the same night (a Friday night) that we called them and were very professional and did a great job. They also were very helpful in explaining to us the process of submitting a claim to our homeowner's insurance. **** *. was the primary person doing work in our house, and he came out to our home several times. Progressive Service Company provided a detailed analysis of our needs for two replacement HVAC systems. Their installation manager Darryl's proposal provided specific, detailed choices at highly competitive prices. The installation team of **** and ****** were very professional and went about their job skillfully and diligently. They used care to protect floors and carpet with plastic and tarps while removing the old interior systems and installing the new system. They were very respectful and taught us the basics of operation. The two full systems were installed effectively, tested and working well when they completed the job. They left no trace of debris.
