We worked with a handful of different people who helped us choose, order and install hardwood, shades, and a large rug. Everyone we worked with was amazing! Thomas somehow missed the first appointment I had scheduled, but, totally made up for it today. Thomas let me show him the samples I had from another company and what I was thinking of doing in my kitchen and possibly other rooms downstairs. Then he went to work. He immediately knew exactly what to show me. He nailed it with his first selection. His estimate took me by surprise with how affordable it was. Thomas was very friendly and easy to work with. Jack W. was my sales estimator. He met me at my rental home the very next day to take measurements and make suggestions. The scheduling and installation fit perfectly into the timeframe of workers completing other tasks at the home. I am SO pleased with the kitchen floor installation that SIMAS did for me. I’ve received numerous compliments about the new floor and inquiries about who did the installation. The staff at SIMAS was friendly and extremely knowledgeable about product selection. I was able to take home many large size samples to choose from. At the time of the inspection, they made certain that the appropriate work would be done . The installer was prompt, courteous, and highly professional. I received excellent service with Simas. I had already designed my window covers with the Hunter Douglas app but Dave was able to give me more options and help me find not only the best insulation. David showed up between 20 and 30 minutes late to both appointments we had scheduled, without a call/text that he was running late. When we were told that office staff would be calling us (to schedule install or discuss material) several days would pass before I would call myself. David sold us on the "idea" of placing seams in specific locations. During installation it was physically impossible to place seams as promised given the tight amount of material ordered. As a result may small pieces were used to install floor. Install crew was very curtious, practical and clean. Would have liked to receive some follow-up from sales side after product was installed (to receive maintenance/warranty information, etc). Out of the 3 estimates we received for the flooring project Simas (David) was the most knowledgable about the products and had the greatest selection. 01/08/15 |

Simas was originally selected as a potential flooring company by reading several of the yelp reviews that had been previously posted all of which far outweighed their competitors. Upon our first visit to the showroom we understood why, we were happily greeted and serviced with exceptional knowledge of many different products including ones we were unfamiliar with in the most professional and patient manner.
Thomas assisted us with our every question and provided many options for us to choose from which ultimately lead to our decision to install LVT within our new home. Thomas continued to support our needs with a full estimate and estimate review, procurement of material to meet our installation dates, and providing high quality installers (Dmitriy and Tole) that maintained an exceptional attention to detail.
During the installation phase we did run into unexpected conditions which again led to the Simas team going above and beyond to ensure our complete satisfaction with the product and the installation.

From the beginning contact, Thomas was very responsive. I was kept informed from selection through installation and clean-up -- very service-oriented, checking in frequently. Before selecting Simas, we received quotes from several other companies. Some made statements that they could get any carpet or LVT, but when pressed about specific brands they couldn't deliver. I also don't know much about carpet and LVT, but found I knew more than some of the sales reps.
We selected Simas because of the wide selection of carpets and luxury vinyl tile. However, the customer service was the best part of the job. Each time we walked in the door we were greeted and promptly assisted by the staff. Jan and David...know there stuff when it comes to flooring. We found the perfect carpet and LVT for our project. The process was very simple and the project was completed within the specified timeframe.

Both my Wife and I want to express our thanks for all the work not only Thomas put forth to help us but the entire staff. Friendly, helpful and never wanted to sell us anything we didn't want. All the suggestions they gave were great but the decision was ours. We both know that going out to get bids for flooring and counter tops can be very trying but thanks to the staff at Simas they made the experience very easy. We have learned a valuable lesson here, no need to go everywhere to get bids just go to Simas, fair pricing and great to work with, they treat you like family. We had Simas come out and install carpeting in the upper floor of our house. They had already installed beautiful laminate flooring for us a few months ago so we knew we would be using them again.The carpeting looks great and the installers were very professional and friendly too. Just as with our first purchase our sales consultant Thomas was very helpful, had larger samples set to me, and the price for the quality of our carpet was very fair. He is a joy to work with. Even the installation coordinator was above par. She was diligent in keeping us informed about the status of both purchases and worked very pleasantly to get both jobs installed at our convenience. We were working with Thomas I. for a new counter top. We were going to have a new wood floor installed by one of the big box stores but had nothing but trouble. Once the flooring material was decided, which was a Shaw floor, however it was branded through another company, Thomas had to research the product to determine we got what we wanted. We had over 1000 sq. ft. of floor tile removed which we knew was going to be a very "messy" project. What we liked about the bid was the machine that was used to remove the tile, vs a jack hammer! In the middle of confirming the floor project, I decided that the tile back splash in the kitchen should be replaced. Thomas and a designer worked with me to get a product that was going to meet what I wanted (Glass & Stone). I may have been difficult as I had very definite ideas on what I wanted and wanted a lot of detail on how the project would be implemented. Thomas was VERY patient with my requests. Thomas had mentioned when the appointment was made that he may show up early, he did. He was great and really helpful. He knew what we wanted and didn't try to change anything. The project isn't started as yet but I feel we are going to get what we want and I do not expect any problems. He gave us some help on decision on the bathroom floors, We were very impressed on how professional he was and would recommend the company to anyone who is looking for counter tops or new flooring. I want to personally thank him for helping me set the new sink in the garage, weighing in at 130 pounds made it easier with his help. He said we could go back to our house and when we return in a week or so we would walk into a finished counter top with everything hooked up and working. We had Simas Floor and Design Company install laminate flooring in our home. Both Simas and the flooring exceeded our expectations. We especially liked Thomas our sales person. Thomas was a great estimator, he came out with his mobile showroom, gave us an honest estimate that day in writing (others took 2 days!) I usually carefully select and hire individuals for each project I do. However, residents and Realtors in Campus Commons recommended that I go to Simas, and I'm so glad they did. Jan came to my home and made very helpful suggestions after listening to my questions and to my likes and dislikes. She was always available to order samples or suggest options as I took as long as I needed to make up my mind and find just the right combination...no pressure and always encouraging.
Likewise, David was there to answer all questions about the installation of the carpet, baseboards, and floor tile...everything was explained and no question was a bother. Adjustments were made to accomodate my schedule and they adhered to their estimates exactly
Finally, Homero and his assistant installed all of the flooring and baseboards and I couldn't be happier. They worked tirelessly and were perfectionists. Each day, the job site was left neat and clean and everything was done to perfection and ahead of schedule. I felt completely safe giving them a key to my home.

David came out, on time, gave us a quote, lower than 4 others and he was professional and knowledgeable. Being my skeptical self, I didn't believe when he said they would be here in 2 wk. since other quotes said 4-5 weeks and cost more so that was a little fishy to me. He swore he was telling the truth and I told him he'd have to deal with the wrath of me if they weren't here in 2 weeks. Within a few days the office called to set up an installation date in that 2 week date. We set one up, thinking it would have to be changed ;-) GUESS WHAT! David, a salesman for Simas Floors, visited my home before the work was done to see exactly what my hardwood floors needed to be pretty again. He is very personable and professional. Jay, Chris, and Robert, who refinished my hardwood floors, did an excellent job; they were prompt, professional, thorough, and stirred up an incredibly small amount of dust. They explained the advantages of using a water or an oil-based finish; I opted for a water-based polyurethane because a catalyst can be added to the last coat (in this case, the fourth coat) that will extend the life of the finish to 25-40 years. Although I could have hired someone else at a lower cost, I am confident that I now have the best refinish money can buy, and I won't be moving the furniture out of the rooms for the rest of my life!
