Came home Friday night to the smell of burnt electronics, called Genes, Josh called me back in 10 min, showed up within 25min and replaced my motor, got the heat back on (19 degrees currently) in under 45min. Our air wasn’t working so I called Gene’s. Gene’s sent over two of their techs within a couple hours after my call, Josh and another fellow. They diagnosed our problem within minutes, bad cooling coil. Once the new coil was ordered, Josh was back out and had it installed in about an hour or so. Josh was very friendly and obviously knows his trade very well. The lady answering the phones at their office and handling the scheduling was very nice too, sorry but I don’t remember her name. I would never hesitate to call Gene’s and would recommend Gene’s to anyone. (See More)

Josh has always been polite, friendly, respectful and very professional in his work. Needless to say we will continue to request Josh for our HVAC related service.

Josh informed me I had a crack in my furnace and that it needed to be replaced. He convinced me the CO levels were high. I called my infant's doctor and was very concerned. Josh shared options for furnace replacement and offered electric heaters for a deposit of $150. I wrote him a check for $150 he said it was just a deposit on the heaters. We made a plan for me to call him later that evening to discuss furnace replacement. He provided various quotes and options for replacement.
After I concluded with Josh, I had a second technician from a competing company come in to verify the need to replace my furnace. This person replaced a part of my furnace and triple checked for cracks and CO levels throughout the furnace and ductwork. While this technician agreed I need to replace my furnace this spring, it was not an immediate danger to my family as Josh had implied.
I called Josh to inform him I did not need my furnace replaced and that he could come and pick up his electric heaters. Josh offered to come and take apart my furnace and show me the crack. I declined and asked him to come pick up the heaters. He said someone would be there the next day to pick up the heaters. 3 days later, the heaters have been picked up and Gene's cashed my check. I am very disappointed in this service and I feel Josh was attempting to take advantage of me and my situation. I would welcome a conversation with management to discuss my dissatisfaction. My ac was not staying cold. Genes charged me $89.00, hooked a gauge to it and said its low on freon, gave a couple options to fix or replace it which would cost a fortune. He was done in five minutes and gone. I decided to get a second opinion. Turns out the condenser was clogged and full of dirt which Genes never even checked which should be part of my inspection which I paid $89.00 for. Waste of my time and money!! (See More)

I asked Josh what options I had. He explained ,from high cost to low, including the pros and con. We decided to go with a middle ground and within 10 min my home was cooling off. Best company we have ever dealt with by far. Gene's staff are always knowledgeable and considerate and go that "extra mile" that separates average from outstanding. A good example is technician Josh B. When at our home inspecting our heating and AC, Josh B. took it upon himself to check out our 11 year old hot water heater. And boy are we glad he did! The unit was ready to go at any time and we never wanted to go through that again for sure. Josh B. then arranged for a new American made replacement heater that he would be installing himself only 5 days later. We were very pleased with Josh's work and quick thinking in finding where the noise was coming from in our laundry room. It had nothing to do with our furnace, but with our steam shower next door. He not only honed in on right away but moved the cats litter box to get to the problem. That is far and beyond the call of duty. We felt pretty silly thinking it was the furnace making a high pitch whistle and a low pitch moan, but doesn't matter its fixed. Thanks for getting out to our house so soon after our call.
