The service people are top notch . Very helpful and knowledgeable . How ever we have trouble with Genes Office personel who say that they order parts and that they will be in that day and three days later the parts still are not in . Then there is the problem of making appointments for service getting a four hour window and no one shows up , calling after the four hours have passed and being told by the person who set up the appointment " they have nothing written down about the appointment " Time for a change ! Overall I had six people at my house all of them different people just for install of a whole house humidifier. Units were ordered that were wrong they were installed incorrectly they were diagnosed incorrectly finally Chris was able to get it up and running on his first trip here. I've had a maintenance agreement for several years w/Gene's. Technician comes out twice a year to inspect the furnace (fall) and a/c (spring). I typically, get the same guy (Chris) since he lives in my area. Chris is very professional and I've not had a major issue w/my HVAC in all the time I've been under their "care". (See More)

Installed parts initially indicating it would fix air. After installation, told me about freon leak which had significant additional costs. Paid $500 and need to get a new unit now. No air...should have checked freon first and discussed options so I could have made informed decision. Parts are wasted and $500 NEEDLESSLY spent. Very unsatisfied.

I was very surprised to have a field service rep out to my house only a few hours after my initial call, given that we were in the middle of a heat wave. Chris did a great job in quickly diagnosing the problem and replacing the two parts. I was a bit surprised at the cost, but given that this was the first repair in 10 years, I guess it was to be expected.

I had my 'maintenance' checkup on June 1st. Chris discovered a 'capacitor' was not working. I paid $200 to get it replaced and Chris said, 'everything was working fine'. On June 10th we discovered the house was not cooling. I called Gene's to have someone look at the unit and was told the earliest a technician could come out was June 22nd. I have to wait 10 days in a hot, sweltering house after I just had a Gene's technician fix it? Plus, what 'priority' do I receive for being a 'maintenance' customer??? I am upset with Gene's!! I contacted another company to get a second opinion, and found out that there was a water pipe of some kind disconnected. I was told by your service man that it was probably the heat exchange, and, I would probably need another one installed. He said he sealed something and to call Gene's if I see water. My husband just passed away 3 weeks ago, and maybe because I was a woman, I felt taken. I also got a third opinion and he agreed with the second opinion. I'm very disappointed with Gene's this time. We've had your company out here for years. This home is for 2 handicapped men, and my husband and I had a dream for our son the have a good home. I can't afford to purchase a furnace or a heat exchange that is not needed. (See More)

I like these guys. First time I used them was when my furnace quit working in the middle of winter. Other HVAC contractors tried to sell me their maintenance plan before the would even schedule an appointment. Gene's got a tech to my house within a few hours and fixed the problem. Only then did he try to sell me their plan. I declined but used them again for an inspection and cleaning earlier this year. The tech was on-time, quick and efficient. This time, I purchased the maintenance plan. Chris was the tech who came most recently. Looked over my system but didn't try to sell me anything. Mine is approximately 20 years old and we discussed the age but he recommended against any repairs until the system would be replaced. Honest and fast. Can't ask for anything more. (See More)
