AWQ of Ellsworth Maine designed and installed water treatment and Radon removal systems for our home. They were at all times professional and willing to listen to my needs. They designed the system so that it would mesh well with my lifestyle and how I live in my home. They performed all work efficiently, quickly and cleanly. Our technician for the annual checkup on our water system was Scott. He was prompt, polite and competent. Also friendly. The only issue we had was not with him but with the front office which neglected to tell us payment was due at completion of service. We had always been billed previous to this service call. I told Scott they would have to bill me and Scott said they don't do billing any more. I was tempted to say Ok! But he suggested I send a check with the service sheet he left with me. I asked him where to send the check as the company's address is not on the service sheet. He said they will have to bill me. I said OK. Silly. Scott K. 06/17/17 |

If you find yourself facing serious water issues, like water the color of iced tea, this is the company for you. Rod and Bart worked diligently in their separate roles to design and install a system to solve our particular problem. There were some surprises in the installation and rather than rush to finish, Bart came back the next day to complete the job and walk us through how the new system works. Tony was extremely courteous and knowledgeable when he made an on site visit. Alan scheduled my appointment to install a reverse osmosis unit as well as a water softener. He kept me informed of the date and time of arrival as well as answering any questions I had. Dean was the service pro who installed the units. He worked non-stop to ascertain completion in one day. He explained how the whole system worked as well as answering the many questions I had. He was well-mannered, efficient and courteous along with leaving my cellar in spotless condition. Air and water quality has been servicing my water treatment system for years. I have never had a problem and I trust them enough to tell them where the hide-a-key is located so they can let themselves in and I don't even have to be there. Jim, of AWQ, came onsite to assess what could be done to mitigate our (air) radon level of 8 emanating from our crawl space of some dirt, some concrete slab. He provided three options and responded to our choice by designing a system to seal the dirt cellar floor with a 6 mil membrane (suggesting two companies that could install the membrane), a pipe through the slab, and a fan and exhaust through a garage roof. When the membrane was finished, Gary of AWQ came to install the mitigation system itself. Gary drilled through he slab, installed a long run of pvc to be direct, yet out of the way, installed the fan in the dead air space above the garage roof, and poked through the roof. He worked a long day in good spirits and finished by walking us through our responsibilities as homeowners to maintain the system in good order. Jim and Gary and the others we dealt with at AWQ were professional, responsible, and followed through on their commitments. After the system was installed and operating, the followup measurement of radon was 0.8. I am totally happy with the process, the people, and the results. Gary S. 05/16/17 |

Scott came to the house, had been here before to install a Water Purification System. He said it would be about an hours time. We were very pleased with Scott and Air & Water Quality once again. Scott went above and beyond as he checked out an air circulation system we have in the house that I inquired whether perhaps Air & Water Quality serviced the product. It's great having someone you trust, as a retiree, enter your living space, that you feel will give your water and air the attention needed. Today Bart came out to drill test holes for a possible radon remediation system that would de-pressurize below the concrete slab in my basement. Unfortunately, the test indicated the slab did not have crushed stone beneath it and therefore this preferred method of radon remediation would not work. Bart and I talked about a couple of other ideas that may work with my situation. I appreciate the time Bart spent with my wife and I discussing some alternatives. These folks have been wonderful. My water contained so many impurities and bacteria that it was impossible to drink, and it also stained my fixtures and clothes. I had been limping along with a relatively expensive but ineffective water treatment system for years. The Air & Water Quality folks identified the problems and designed a reverse osmosis system that provides me with crystal clear and safe water. We had a really thorny problem with radon in our cellar. The Air and Quality people never gave up and with a lot of effort and a willingness to experiment so we weren't flying blind, they eventually solved our problem. It took a lot of visits and we are grateful that all is now well.

This was our first experience with Air and Water Quality. We requested annual service in addition to an assessment and remedy to some pressure fluctuations. Andrew, our technician was prompt, courteous and very responsive to all of our concerns and he demonstrated a high level of customer service and professional care. In addition to performing the necessary service, he provided several very helpful tips that will assist us with ongoing maintenance of the system. Based on our experience with Andrew, we would endorse Air and Water Quality without reservation and recommend this company to anyone in need of water purification services. This team provided me exemplary customer service after installation. I had water filtration and radon prevention systems installed at my house, which was courteous and timely in execution. There was an issue with water in my basement that occurred sometime after the installation, that I was attributing to the radon mitigation system (it had nothing to do with it). The team was courteous and patient with me, eventually paying a service visit to troubleshoot the issue - it had to do with a water filter pressure relief line unsecure into the sewer line. They showed me the problem, and then fixed the issue, at no cost to me. Not only did they demonstrate careful patience with an upset customer, but they fixed an issue that was not their responsibility, at no charge. This was service well above and beyond the expectation. In regards to the products, both systems are up and functioning well with no complications. I highly recommend them based on the quality of their products and their customer care. Scott was very informative about the water system in the house that I recently purcased, and went over in detail the quality of water I am able to draw thru the Faucet, and thru the water filtering system for drinking. He explained and showed me how to change the filters in required along with bringing a couple of spare filters to have for the water drinking system. Very knowledgeable and great customer service.
