This is the second time I have attempted to write something about him; my first attempt did not go through. Hopefully this comment will "take". My system is nearing the end of its life and I will most likely take Jim's advise and have my new system installed by AA Service. I am hoping that the pricing and installation will be up to the standards which I have become accustomed to. I am an extremely "picky" person and expect perfection in myself as well as others. This is one reason why I stick with Jim as my service professional. In addition to the above "glowing comments", I'd like to also submit that Jim is very candid in his assessment of my heating and cooling equipment; he will tell me in no uncertain terms the expected remaining life of my equipment. He does not push and particular brand, but advises that I do my research for my particular needs and price range. It is for that reason that I value his impartiality; he is there to offer quality tune-up and minor adjustments and, if needed, he will give a detailed breakdown of future needs in relation to needed parts or unit replacement. Jim G. was here yesterday for our furnace checkup/maintenance. Everything is running fine. He suggested it would be prudent to have a water detector/alarm to alert us of any leaks from the whole house humidifier attached to the furnace. He further suggested that the sensor be placed on a paper towel to widen the area sensed. I thought both suggestions made a lot of sense and will install one this weekend. (See More)

Our furnace was making a terrible racket. Jim G. from AA Service has been our go-to guy for years for HVAC maintenance and problems. He diagnosed the problem in a minute (turns out it was, thankfully, a minor problem with the inducer assembly), and he fixed it in five. Here’s the reason it was such a quick fix. The AA Service person who took my call passed along to Jim my description of the noise I was hearing. Jim guessed as to what the problem was and put the necessary parts on the truck. Way to go, Jim! This fall, Jim did my furnace cleaning and preparation for winter. I know I can rely on AA Service. Once I had a complex issue with my furnace and it took several trips to diagnose and correct, during that process I was kept informed as to the steps and had confidence the issue would be resolved -- and the issue was very satisfactorily. Jim did the summer AC check on my small unit which was new in 2005. He changed the batteries in the thermostat and recommened purchasing a Watch Dog battery-operated alarm for the floor drain under the unit. I will follow this advice and purchase one. Other unit owners n my building have had damage from the floor drain backing up, and this alarm will provide a very audible alarm if any water comes in contact. (See More)

We're living on borrowed time with our furnace, so when the whirring and clinking noises began, we were prepared for the worst. We called AA rather late in the day, and were able to set an appointment for the next morning. Jim G called approx. 30 mins before he expected to arrive, which was great from a scheduling perspective. Once Jim got to us, he had the problem diagnosed within a matter of minutes. While our old dinosaur wasn't the problem this time, the even older humidifier was...Jim troubleshooted other problems based on the vaguest of descriptions, thoroughly cleaned our furnace and we're once again warm and toasty (even in those rooms which were once cold zones)!! He checked and saw that it was either a blown capacitor (starter) or the motor itself, and gave me the choice of which to try replacing. Jim G arrived at my home with everything he needed to get me up and running, which was impressive as I have a unit that is not a common brand. While checking out the initial problem he identified an additional issue and suggested I should have it taken care of as soon as possible. He took the time to not only show me what he felt should be done, but to explain both his reasoning and the process. Due to his schedule he could not complete the work that day, but was back three days later, at my convenience not necessarily his as it was the day after Thanksgiving, to complete the additional work. I was impress by his ability, the professional way he presented himself and his findings, and his respect for my home and property. When he left the furnace and area around it were neat, clean and orderly and the results far exceeded my expectations. The furnace runs less often, but the house temperature is well maintained. I anticipate lower energy cost due to run time and look forward to next summer to see what affect this work will have on our cooling capabilities. I would welcome Jim back any time I experience HVAC difficulties and would strongly recommend him to my best friend if he needed his furnace repaired. (See More)

Fall service performed professionally as expected. Technician tried to determine the cause of some condensation leaking from the condenser coil but there doesn't seem to be an obvious problem. Jim G. suggested that the problem may relate to the filters that may be too dense for the unit. Great service technicians!! Jim G came to solve a power problem with the A/C unit. He found a loose wire on a circuit board which was replaced in Jan of this year. Completely satisfied with AA Service! This was my 2nd time using their service company to fix some inconsistencies on our furnace. Their technician, Jim G., had come out a few years ago and did such a thorough job cleaning our furnace and patiently explained so much about my furnace, and he got it running so well. He even left notes on our furnace about what he did last time and some potential things to keep an eye out for in the future. So when my furnace was acting up again, I didn't even consider calling anyone else. Jim came, and again cleaned it up really well and got it running smoothly. I love how he explains everything, and lets me know about parts that can be replaced or may need to be replaced soon, but doesn't pressure me to do so.
