AA Service called me a couple of days before to remind me that I had an upcoming inspection which made sure that I was available. Jeff Chovanec was my technician. After he arrived he performed the inspection on the furnace in the condo quickly and professionally. When he went to the roof to do the inspection on the unit there he realized that he was unable to get to it because the key that would allow him to get to the unit was not available. It was not available because the condo association had changed the numbers on the door. He allowed me time to try to get the numbers from my association but they would not call me back. So we agreed that it would be easier for me to try to get the number and then contact the company to make an appointment for another date. That worked out. AA Service is a great company and I have no problems recommending it. (See More)

This morning Jeff Chovanec came out and listened to my concerns about certain noises and that it didn't seem to work efficiently. I showed him the video of the unit making a buzzing sound occasionally and he figured out what that was. He checked everything and even adjusted the settings to the thermostat so that it wouldn't go on and off so frequently. So I just wanted to let you know that this certainly has restored my faith in AA Service, and why I have trusted them for 27 years!!! Thank you very much for your quick response to my letter. Jeff and replaced the valve that was not working .....fast and efficient and checked it out to make sure all was working ok. Jeff C was the best heating professional I have ever met. He diagnosed my problem in no time and wend the extra mile to check everything else with the remaining time left on the call. I had been ripped off by 3 other companies that had incompetent employees in the last 5 years. When I saw the feedback on AA Service Co I actually was skeptical it could be so great. After the service call by Jeff I feel absolutely comfortable recommending them to any of my friends and family. What's funny is none of my friends or family had a recommendation for me. Excellent and professional service at a reasonable price. We were afraid our air conditioner might need replacing, but Jeff quickly saw that the problem was a broken capacitor and was honest and straightforward with us. I had another company come in to trouble shoot my AC problem, they spent 3.5 hours trying to figure it out, charged me $485.00 and then told me I needed a whole new unit. I decided to get AA Service to come out for a 2nd opinion. Jeff C was able to diagnose the problem within 20 minutes, the charge was $85 and all that was needed was the replacements of 2 motors. I had a great experience with Ralph C. He was very polite and handled our clelaning and problem in a professional way. When cleaning he turned on our outside faucet. It started to leak into our basement. It was a broken pipe inside the house. Ralph insisted that he clean up the water on the floor. I felt bad because it was my leak, but he insisted. When Ralph was working , cleaning my air conditioner, he explained everthing he was doing to me. In December 2014 he installed 2 digital thermostats in my new condo, and today, May 9, 2015, he was able to fix my A/C by bypassing my two broken relays and opening the activators manually. He did this for both my units. He patiently explained everything to me. Because our condo chillers are off today because of cooler weather, he told me to test A/C when weather warmer and call AA Service if there is a problem, but he's hoping this will solve the problem. My go to HVAC place. I thought I knew what I was doing when I bought my house. Boy was I wrong. I have a service contract with them and they always call to remind me it is service time. Honest and truthful. Huge bonus points for a company for me. I had Jeff C. do the service at my house today (the first time I had been home with a tech), I was amazed at all the cleaning he did. As always these guys put out an extra effort to find the problem and fix it. Jeff C is a good example. When our heat went out he figured out that it wasn't the boiler (as we feared) or the pump (as we suspected) but an old relay. He located a new part, came back and installed up-to-date wiring to replace the 25-year-old conduit, thereby eliminated another future weak link. And, we're warm again! (See More)

I called AA Service @ 7am because my boiler wasn't working. The company sent out Jeff Chovanec and he arrived earlier than I expected. He asked the right questions because he is a boiler specialist and within a few minutes he had diagnosed what was wrong. He had to end up replacing the pump and got it working. From past experience, other companies we have used some of the technicians did not know how to fix boilers because they were mainly furnace people and it took them longer to do anything. We have been using AA Service Co. Heating and Cooling for many years. The Service Pro who took care of us has visited our home before, which is one of the nice things about this firm. He arrived within the promised time slot and was both professional and friendly. I am sure we will see him again in the spring when it is time to turn our air conditioner back on! (See More)

Jeff C came to service our heating unit which had mysteriously stopped working. He had to go to Melrose Park to pick up the motor that we needed. He was very patient and explained what was going on. He came back quickly and got to work. My mom and I felt very comfortable leaving him in the basement while we ate dinner! He had to change the circuit board too, and all the while, stubbornly checking for the cause of the malfunction. His patience and resolve saved the day. Today was an extremely windy day and a one in a million thing happened: a piece of plastic wrap (God only knows where it came from) was sucked in to the intake discharge. I told him that now I was extremely worried, and with a calming smile he told us not to worry because the chances of it happening again were rare! God bless Jeff C, it was almost 7:00 p.m., yet he took the time to explain everything, did not mind my questions, and made us feel comfortable and confident! I will ask for him to service and tune up my heat and A/C. 10 Stars!!! I've always rated AA Service Heating and Cooling as excellent, you're even better with Jeff on board! (See More)

I called because the thermostat was not working. They first told me a couple of things to try myself, rather than pay for a service call. I have always felt that Jeff has been honest about the service my furnace and air conditioner needs and he takes the time to explain why that's the case. Jeff C has worked on our furnaces for several years on three different properties totaling 4 a/c units, 5 furnaces and now one snow melt boiler. I always ask for Jeff specifically and will wait for an appointment until he is available. Our driveway has a snowmelt system and it never worked properly until Jeff started servicing it. We had several different people trying to repair it, but it wasn't until Jeff found that the electrical panel was loose and replaced it, that last year, for the first time, the entire driveway was dry during the most severe snow storms. They came out, cleaned my system and got my humidifier working immediately. They said that someone had reset the settings to be outside the manufacturer's settings, and that's why my furnace wasn't working. They reset my furnace settings and gave me place to call. They were FANTASTIC. They were at my house for 4 hours and they called the manufacturer to make sure they felt comfortable leaving me with the furnace. (See More)

the service was performed by lance. he called and arrived exactly at the appointed time. he worked about 45 minutes and effeciently completed the inspection of the unit. it was necessary to replace a filter which he did after thoroughly explaining the need for new filter. i have always had good service from this company and lance, once again, did not dissapoint. i am very appreciative of his service. On Jan. 3, Jeff did another excellent job. We determined that the water source should be hot and not cold, water. Unfortunately the plumbers had hooked up cold. Once again Jeff was personable, patient, and willing to explain things. On May 31, 2013 Jeff visited us again to service our AC. Jeff quickly diagnosed that there was a leak evident from a previous test. He refilled the coolant so we could have AC and also immediately arranged for the home office to call me to set up a time to do the necessary repairs. Jeff C is an outstanding employee from AA service. He had to reconnect our air conditioner today. He was willing to explain everything thoroughly to me so I would understand the work and charges. He was professional, effective and efficient in his services. He was friendly first thing in the morning and willing to go beyond his job when i asked him to wait one minute to get my husband on line to assure all was okay with our reconnection. He was nice to my pet, who is an old cat who got in the way when talking to him. Been using AA for over 7 years now on my rental properties. Am on their annual service contract and my tenants and I appreciate the priority attention we receive when service is needed especially on weekends and holidays, during heatwaves and deep freezes. Would highly recommend signing up for service contract. My technician is Jeff C. whom I request exclusively. He is of course not only knowledgeable and professional, but I also trust him left alone with my tenants and properties. Have referred the company and Jeff to numerous friends and neighbors and they all have had a similar positive experience. I have also used the company to replace aging or worn out HVAC units.
