Joe was our technician for our annual autumn service. We have two furnaces and both were checked. He was knowledgeable about our equipment and was able to tell us the status of our units; both were out of warranty, but he told us the average life of such units is longer, and there would be no need to replace them immediately, as everything was still in good condition. He also gave us tips about getting the best performance from our units for the longest time. (See More)

I had my seasonal AA service scheduled for today. I just wanted to let you know how happy and impressed I was with Joe my technician. It was clear to me that he not only loves his job, but he takes pride in it. He illustrated this by walking me through in detail of what he did and recommended certain things we would need to address during your next visit. Even more importantly, he did not waiver to tell me in a very nice way that I need to move my one cabinet that is in front of an air intake – he almost looked offended that we had the cabinet in front of the intake (priceless) and finally, he strongly recommended that I schedule my Spring AA visit next year to be after the cotton wood’s dropped to make sure that if we have a bad cotton wood season, my air conditioners are not clogged. Jim G. suggested that the problem may relate to the filters that may be too dense for the unit. I wanted to let you know that I was overseas for a short time and when I returned, I called AA Service to perform the maintenance on my equipment. So they sent out Joe R. he was simply amazing! Joe's customer skills are above par and he was very patient. We was not like " oh well" but he was understanding and provided options! Next was Kim, she was FANTASTIC!! She took my call explained that you owed me two maintenance's and scheduled the work right away, I even had to reschedule and Kim was understanding and accommodating! From start to finish, my experience with AA was distinguished by knowledgeable, friendly people who place a premium on customer service and getting the job done right. It began with two different phone interactions with two different ladies (over the course of two days) who were pleasant, helpful and able to make things happen ... and continued through to my experience with Petr -- a smart, savvy veteran of the biz who quickly diagnosed the problem and corrected it, while providing substantial entertainment value at no extra charge. AA service technician Tom Trikkas AA Northbrook Il. came to my home in downtown Chicago on Tuesday afternoon and determined my AC compressor of 9 years was bad. AA ordered a new compressor from Carrier, had it delivered to their shop in 12 hours, 2 hours later it was on its way to my home and installed Wednesday afternoon and the AC was up and running by 5:30 p.m. All of this was covered under warranty at no charge. Joseph was so polite. Call in advance of showing up, arrived on time, explained all issues, checked that I understood the answers. Wears shoe covers. Bought the maint. plan this time which give you discount and priority scheduling. He gets 5 stars. ONLY ISSUE I HAVE is that when I made the appointment I told the scheduler I thought I had a leak in the AC. The scheduler made the appointment when it was about 47 degrees out and the technician that came said you can't check for leaks or add coolant unless its warmer. I even asked the scheduler if it was OK to have them come out now and she said sure. Though the technician did say I had no coolant in the unit, he could not check for where the leak is in the cold weather and I paid for a service call and will need to take off work again for when they come on a warmer day. Maybe talk with a technician before scheduling an appointment so the scheduler understand the issues. (See More)

Furnace went out on the coldest day of the year (of course!). I called in the morning and Joe was here right on time in the afternoon. Imagine waking up on one of the coldest morning of the year, after spending three days dealing with a record snow and discovering you had no heat. I only wish that we had imagined it, but unfortunately it was our reality. I called AA Services and was pleasingly surprised that they were able to respond in less than 3 hours. Joe arrived on time and had the problem resolved within 20 minutes. Beyond being extremely competent at his job, he was polite, maintained a clean work space and took the time to make sure the problem was completely resolved.. Bought my house with a vintage boiler in it and on the boiler was a service sticker for AA Service Co. and not having owned a house before, decided to call since they would be familiar with the boiler (and the reviews were very positive anyway). I hadn't serviced it for a few years, so felt it was time for a check up. Debbie was super nice and friendly, as well as informative about the products and services of the company, and set up a time for Joe to come out. He was prompt and very knowledgable regarding my system, and was very patient as I hovered and asked a million questions. He did a thorough job, and advised me well. I could not have been more pleased with the service I received from Joseph at AA Service Co. Not only was he very punctual, but in resolving me heating problem, he went the extra mile to insure he could finish the job in order to insure that I had heat before he left. The problem turned out to be a broken fuse breaker. Not having a replacement, he went out to Home depot to buy one. After installing the new switch, I had heat. I had Joe R. out this morning. He was right on time. Had an 8am appointment and he was at my door promptly at 8. I was impressed. Very polite and friendly. I called the emergency hotline after my furnace stopped working and was able to get free assistance to walk through the problem over the phone. The technician helped me get a temporary solution immediately that would provide heat through the night. The best part is that he saved me over $60 by not coming out at 11pm and waiting until the morning. In the morning, I called again to get an appointment for the broken part. Joe R came and was able to quickly confirm the issue from the previous night and replaced the part. They were reasonably fast and knowledgeable every step of the way. I would highly recommend their services should you have any issues with Carrier furnaces. (See More)

I have just started working with this company recently (last couple years) and the engineers have always been incredibly professional, courteous and fastidious. Today, Joe R. showed up on time with a smile on his face and ready to work. Joe tolerated my dog and was able to help work through a rather unfortunate snafu that happened with the person who scheduled the visit and an installation that was supposed to take place / be installed but could not be because he did not have the part. Even though my schedule is incredibly tight day to day and I had to take the morning off for Joe to come by and do only a portion of the work that was scheduled and should have been performed, Joe was able to work though the situation with ease and compassion. Joe left me with a great feeling that my equipment was brought up to speed, that he did so in the fastest time possible and all with an incredibly positive disposition. He displayed empathy when he needed to and genuinely wanted to work toward a solution to the snafu that was in no way appearing to be his fault- or anything that he could have helped to avoid. Honestly not too happy that it looks likely that I will need to take ANOTHER morning off for the item to be installed but you can see the effect Joe had on the visit and the ability he had to pull me out of a potential one star review. Joe R. from AA also had to call on us after a 15-hour power outage ran out the power on our battery backup sump pump and we got a few inches of water in the basement. It's not life-threatening but feels really crummy to have to go to work without a hot shower the morning after an afternoon and night with no water and no electricity. AA Service Co. is beyond exceptional. There should be 100 more stars to rate it so. On a super hot sunday, my air conditioner blew. Had been a "ultimate Advantage Club" member for years with a different company. Honestly, I had had a bad feeling of being "taken" by their outrageous pricing for even the simplist work. As I am a professional harpist, I needed the air working asap to protect my intruments. Aftet waiting ALL day for prior co. to show up, which they did, finally,at 8 pm, (11 lost harp strings), was told the needed part was not on the truck as it was new and not stocked properly. Called AA, they didnt know me from Adam, they came at 10.30 p.m on a sunday night!!!! Wow! Turns out it was not a "part" needed at an exceedingly high price from prior said co., but that my house had in fact been hit by lightening, wires burned, issues in the cicuits and the electric box, ect ect. A big job! They called me at 7:30 the next morning, were here at 7:45, worked for 3 hours, and fixed it! Andy and Joe were polite, professional, clearly masters of what turned out to be a rather complex problem, empathetic, and delightful. The entirety of the bill from AA for all that work was significantly less than the tiny, misdiagnosed part I was initially quoted for. Lesson learned. I am cancelling my sevice agreement with my previous company, and will forever more feel confident of the work, the pricing, and the integrity of AA. Truely a cut above. (See More)

Joseph was very honest and took extra time to explain to me the options we had to make repairs vs. getting a new unit. He explained the repairs necessary in detail and how more efficient systems would benefit us.
