Herwith is my review - I decided to use you company to replace a thermocouple that I knew went bad instead of going to Home Depot for $20 and doing the job myself. 1. The fix was really a 15 minute job but the technician stretched it out to 1 hour (sitting in the truck half the time) in order to charge $160 on top of the $75.00 service call fee. Issue 1. 2. Flags went up after the inspection was done - The technician inspected the system and decided he was going to try and condemn the system with claims of massive problems. The technician refused to accept that I own the home and the system and I am responsible to decide if the system should be replaced or not. 3. Upon my inspection to his imminent threat of risk to DEATH if we continue to operate the system, I found his claims to be overly cautious whereby maybe 1% of the time this system could cause serious problems . This system has been the same way for over 15-20 years, inspected by 3 other companies and even had a zone added and new Pumps installed. These companies did not share this technicians opinion and also saw some minor rust that held the brackets etc... These companies did agree the boiler was old and probably needed to be replaced at some point. 4. I as the homeowner and customer came to the conclusion that this technician was using elevated scare tactics to generate revenue (and his commission) on a new boiler system sale. Not a good business practice. 5. I as the Homeowner made the decision the system was still serviceable and will continue to operate at my own risk considering prior inspections and work on this system relative to this technicians opinions and report in invoice.

I have always had excellent service from Royal Oak Heating and Cooling, since I found them a few years ago. Every person I have been in contact with has been courteous, and good at their jobs. Installation of a new furnace was surprisingly fast, considering an estimate had to be done, a furnace and all related equipment had to be ordered with the installation one day later. Failure of the old furnace at when the weather was the worst made the job tougher, but it got done. We were without furnace heat for 2 nights and 3 days. Russell F, and his partner (Sorry, I am bad at remembering names) really knew what they were doing, and didn't waste a move. The installation was professional and neat. The entire area they worked in was clean when they left. Instruction on the thermostat, water pump, humidifier, etc. was thorough. The chimney liner will be installed when the ice clears up on by the chimney, and I notify the installer. I also understand that air conditioner operation will be checked when the weather warms up. I am learning how the heating system works, and will program the thermostat. I especially like the idea of mounting a holder for the installation manual and documentation on the side of the cold air plenum. I will keep all documentation and HVAC records there. You gave me an idea for organizing other owner manuals, etc that are sometimes hard to locate when you need them. The furnace is quieter than the old one, and seems to be working OK. Thanks again. We had a very old heater/air conditioner replaced in a room that is an addition to our house (formerly a porch that was enclosed.) The sales rep was very knowledgeable and professional. The installation went smoothly. At inspection it was shown to be over-fused, however, they came out the next day to replace the fuses. Very happy with their service. We would use them again.

I can't say enough great things about this company. From the top down, everyone on their team treats the customer like they truly matter. The owner Scott made a trip out to my house to give me some excellent advice on how to make some great updates to my current HVAC with out spending an arm and leg. His installers Jim and Russel came out and did a beautiful job on the install and treated me just as kindly and respectfully as the owner did. Recently chose Royal Oak Heating and Cooling to diagnose and fix an issue we had with our furnace. They were very professional and punctual from the very beginning. Riley the heating and cooling professional who was assigned the job called when he was 20 mins out, he arrived within that time frame, he quickly diagnosed and explained to me what was going on while proceeding to fix the problem. Riley was very professional, prompt and detailed. He was also very informative regarding our furnace and the exhaust piping.
