Just bought my second heating and cooling system from Winters. My first system was a geothermal I had installed in a house I was rehabbing to move into when I remarried a few years ago. I couldn't be happier with the whole process. I got a phenomenal price on the unit, the unit came with SMECO, State, and Federal rebates, and the Winters staff expertly prepared all of the paperwork. With the rebates the geothermal was more affordable than a conventional heat pump. The installation was flawless and Winters worked around the other contractors. After the initial installation I did encounter a few problems with faulty factory components, but the Winters team was on the spot having parts expedited to make the repairs, and did follow-up phone calls to ensure we were happy with the system and their staff. The house is all electric and my highest bill during the winter (and SMECO rate hikes) was under $300 for a 2600 sqft house. I still had my previous house and in the process of preparing it to sell, my 15 year old system failed. Winters was the first company I thought of for the replacement system. Once again this unit came with a SMECO rebate, and Winters prepared all of the paperwork. I got a great price and a 10 year warranty on the new system. Scott and Ben did an outstanding job of installing our new system. The old system was in a very narrow area, and Scott had to do a lot of custom metal work to make the new system fit properly. It looks great (and works great) and we are VERY pleased with their work. They cleaned everything up and ran extensive tests after the installation to make sure everything worked properly. Finding a reputable HVAC company can be difficult to find. Especially during the winter /summer months when most companies are busy and are money hungry. I found that to be the opposite of Winters Heating and Air. The service from the office staff to the field technicians were extremely friendly and respectful. From the moment I called, I felt I was important and not just a number. Upon of informing the office staff of my issue with my oil furnace, the next available service would be the following day. Scott (service tech) was dispatched to my house and not only troubleshot my problem, but continued to check my entire system. The fix would be a $160 part. The following day James Winters came by to provide me information on a replacement oil furnace. At that point I decided to move on a complete new system and new duct work installed in my attic. At no time was I pressured to purchase a new system or a higher efficiency system. I was presented with options. I did not get three estimates, however what sold me was the attention to detail of the service technicians. My installation took all of two complete days. It was a very large job. The installation team was great. The attitude of "it was my house, I would want it done this way." That attitude shows pride in their work. Winters has been in business for decades. They also have an A rating from the Better Business Bureau. They are up to date with the latest HVAC technology and sells quality equipment. I have been a customer of Winters Heating & Cooling since the early '90s and I have had excellent service. They are a fair and honest company, whereby they do not pressure a customer into getting something they don't need. They may recommend a product, but they will not pressure a customer into purchasing at the time of the recommendation. Scott M. is an excellent tech and his interactions with the customers put them at ease. The staff in the office are customer friendly and are always willing to go the extra mile. From the moment I called to the finished insulation of our new heating and air unit they were extremely professional clean and on time. David Winters did the diagnostic for us told us what was wrong and how to fix it he also gave us several options to fix the problem. The office staff were extremely helpful and made sure you understood everything and we're comfortable with what was going to happen during the installation. They also set up insulation for the very next day which was much appreciated because hear in Maryland you never know when the weather is going to turn for the worst. When the installation crew arrived they were extremely professional Mike, Ben, and David got the job done in a very efficient manner. My whole experience with winters heating was top notch from kelcy the office administrator to david the tech. Its a pleasure having someone to speak with when you call instead of voice mail. In those cases, which are usually 1 or 2 man operations, you may get a callback in a few days. Not with Winters. Kelcy answered the phone quickly, was very courteous and helpful as well as having a very positive attitude. Dave arrived that same evening. i was amazed at his thoroughness and troubleshooting abilities as i am a retired tech from the phone company and never left the job until the customer was completely satisfied. Thats the kind of person Dave was. The work was completed quickly and efficiently. I called strictly because of the positive reviews and am glad I did. I shall now be a dedicated Winters Customer. Worked with Kelsey, Jillian, and Chelsea in updating and procuring my furnace and hot water system. Was provided very competitive pricing along with a detailed understanding of what to expect during the installation process. Scott, one of Winters senior techs, arrived, removed the old system, expeditiously installed the new system, looks like a high-tech micro-brewery, my neighbors are envious! The most personable and polite young man came to service my air conditioner.Not only was I given great customer service, the bill was very reasonable. David cleaned my filter, repaired a hole on my outside unit, taped around the filter and top of the coolant all for customer service at no charge.The next day he came back to make sure everything was working properly. I would like to Thank the entire Winters Heating & Cooling Team for the exceptional job they have done with the installation of my Heating & AC System. I had a 30 year old unit in which Winters had originally installed. The owner Mr. Winters came to my home and did an Estimate explaining my options while at my home. I then had contact with the office staff (Carol, Theresa & Chelsea) for scheduling and paperwork which they wonderful to speak with & explained in detail how my installation would take place from start to finish. The day of installation Jordan & Ben were on time, very neat and tidy and once the installation was complete they went over the complete system to me which I am very thankful.
