Today, Tom R. performed maintenance on our gas fireplace. He was everything you hope to have with a service call but seldom get.
• He was careful and respectful of our property,
• He did an excellent job in cleaning, servicing, and testing the fireplace
• He instructed us on the proper use and maintenance of our fireplace. Turns out, I was doing many things wrong.

Our gas insert is very old and did not work at all last Winter. We called The Gas Connection due to referral from a plumber who had been at our home. We called and talked with a very helpful lady and Tom was scheduled to come to our home. Tom arrived on time and went right to work. We were sure it would be hopeless and we would need a new insert. Tom went to work and today our insert works perfectly. We needed a new remote controller which Tom has with him, the logs are set in perfectly, the window never shinned so much and we have the heat we need to keep us warm this Winter! We are thrilled we have an insert with a long life span. Tom is setting us up so we can be notified every couple of years for a service which we will certainly do! And I want to add when I called the office to get the information on how to comment on Tom's great work I spoke with Amy, what a perfect lady to be on the other end of the phone, kind, helpful and so friendly! We just purchased a home and both fireplaces showed up with problems in our inspection report. Tom arrived on time and is incredibly cordial, helpful, and knowledgeable. We couldn’t be happier knowing our fireplaces are fully serviced and functional and will be ready for cold fall and winter nights. I definitely recommend The Gas Connection and Tom and will certainly contact them again should we experience problems as well as when it’s time for regular routine maintenance. (See More)

Those few and far between professional people who do an outstanding job should be recognized. Tom Ray came to our house from Gas Connection to fix our fireplace. He was incredibly knowledgeable and explained in detail so that I could understand everything he was doing and that before he considered his job done wanted to assure my husband and me that we would be safe and no longer should worry about having any more problems. Our gas fireplace would not ignite. After searching through BBB I came across Gas Connection. From the moment Bren answered the phone I knew I had chosen the right company. Bren scheduled me for 2021. She assured me if they had a cancellation or Tom finished a service call early she would call me. Bren is true to her word. Three days later she did call me! She told me Tom finished a call early and he was on his way to our house. Now that's customer service! Tom was a total professional. He found dirt in our fireplace that I had never seen. He removed so much soot and dirt from our fireplace that I sat speechless watching him. Tom was one of the kindest people I have ever dealt with. I have had my indoor fireplace checked yearly, but this was the first time I hired the Gas Connection, I was very pleased with the quality of the work, and the knowledge of Tom ***, my service man. This is the first time I used Gas Connection. I was referred to them by a neighbor, who spoke very well of the company. Our fireplace had ceased functioning several months ago. Tom *** was the technician who examined the fireplace for us. The fireplace was already installed when we purchased our home a couple of years ago, and we were without an owner's manual. Tom's service was simply outstanding. He rapidly determined that the fireplace just needed a cleaning. However, in doing so, he also provided a tutorial on its operation. He verified that the fireplace had been well-installed and explained its service requirements. While cleaning the fireplace, he detected and corrected a wiring issue to ensure its satisfactory future operation. Throughout his presence in our home, he was affable, courteous and informative, a consummate professional. I would like to commend Tom Ray the serviceman who came out and repaired my Aunt’s fireplace and will be repairing my fireplace at the end of the month. Tom was very friendly, personable, adept and knowledgeable, he was great with my dog and took no time in repairing the fireplace but the main reason for me to write this review is to let everyone know at the gas connection that he speaks highly and fondly of everyone he works with so I think it’s most important for the gas connection to realize how highly he speaks of the company and that should mean everything to the higher ups. I’m currently unemployed and will be looking to put in an application with the gas connection as soon as my aunt passes and I can get back to work as I have been her caretaker for the past 7 months. Tom Ray from The Gas Connection just serviced our 2005 Montego indoor fireplace. He was super knowledgable, made it work better, stopped the combustion issues we were having. He offered lots of tips to make it look better, from painting it -- what paint to use etc. and replacing the glass. There were no questions he couldn't answer.
