I'm so fortunate my plumber referred me to Restoration 1. When disaster happens, this is the company you need! They responded immediately and were at my house within 2 hours. They were super professional, clean and gave clear expectations about the whole process. They worked directly with my insurance company which made everything so much easier. Steve, Marco and Joe B were amazing! Extra bonus- when all I wanted to do was cry, this incredible team was able to make me laugh! Thank you for getting my house cleared out and dried out! Restoration 1 of Freehold was very prompt in coming out to help dry out and clean up our bottom floor when we had sewage spill. Each one of the men who came out were very knowledgeable, polite, and most of all, caring. James, Joseph and the men who helped move our belongings to the trailer, as well as the office help (whom I am told was Nicole) were also very accommodating, especially working around our schedule. This company not only answered the phone but came to my 88 year old mother's house in the middle of the night. They rescued us from relocating her when the main drain backed up and spilled sewage all over the downstairs. She slept through the remediation and continued to live in her own house without interruption, stress free, very important to elderly people. I cannot tell you how professional, expedient, courteous, honest and compassionate this team was. They made an unbearable situation seem like any other day of the week. I'm very upset about this company. I feel like I've been duped and lied to. Restoration 1 came to me as a referral from my plumber. I had a small leak in my kitchen under my sink which destroyed my cabinet. When they came to talk to me and my husband they said that they worked directly with the Insurance Company for payment, that 0 dollar out of pocket was expected from me. They wouldn't start the work until I provided them a claim number with my Insurance Company - which I did file a claim while Steve waited in my kitchen. Again, I told him, I could not pay for any services, am not in a position to do so in my life and he told me not to worry that they would get whatever the Insurance Company paid. I said, what if the Insurance Company doesn't approve my claim? He said, he highly doubted that would happen but if it did I would not be liable for any costs. I asked has that ever happened before? He said yes, once that he knows of, and his boss has to eat the money on the job. Well guess what. My Insurance denied my claim and now they are coming after me for over $3000??!!!!! What the hell is this? They took the chance on the Insurance Claim and that was the way it was supposed to end. I am now stuck with destroyed cabinets and a $3000 bill that I have no money to pay? I signed a contract that "0" would be owed by me... he made sure to point that out when I asked repeatedly that I would not be responsible for paying anything. So I had 5 days of hell listening to machines and no payment from Insurance and now to be stuck with this? No, never again. Would not recommend because it's a deceitful company. After having gone through several home building and renovating projects over the last 30 years, my greatest fear/dread is to do "another renovation, no matter the extent of the project, in our home". A little over a week ago, we noticed a water leak in the basement; some of the wall and wood floor were soaking wet, and we needed help ASAP. Within an hour of our phone call, Restoration 1 of Freehold sent over a team of people to assess the damage, help with the insurance filing, immediately set up needed equipment to mitigate further damages, and answered all my questions including the scope and details of the work, timing, and the costs. Restoration 1 of Freehold' crew started the work on Monday, 10/17 and finished it by the requested due date, 10/21. They showed up at 10 am everyday, worked non-stop thru lunch, and wrapped up around 2-3 pm. One evening, around 9 pm, one person also stop by the house to address an issue that required immediate attention. Although there are people working in the basement everyday, because of their expert knowledge in handling such projects, their work processes and equipment, I did not experience the stress / anxiety that I had anticipated earlier. Our home, including the basement, had been comfortably clean the whole time. We are glad that Restoration 1 of Freehold helped us with this project; we are pleased with their services and satisfied with their work.
