Recently my fiance and I had some unexpected water damage and mold to our town home in Freehold that affected both our kitchen and basement. As difficult as this was to deal with at first, working with Restoration 1 made the experience so much more manageable and easy to handle. Joe and his team of technicians including Cory, Jonathan, and Robert demonstrated the level of professionalism and expertise that any homeowner would hope for when attempting to deal with a situation such as this. The thoroughness of their work which was done in a timely manner is what allowed for us to feel at ease and know that the repair work was being done properly. For anyone dealing with a similar situation of unexpected damage in their home, calling Restoration 1 to manage the damage and restore your home to where it needs to be, is definitely the way to go.

Lori Monsees was the Clean/Report Agent, and she was very professional,neat,well spoken and
Knows how to do her job well.
She took pictures of everything that was damaged by the water in our basement,she checked everything for moisture and mildew including furniture,flooring to ceiling, wood around or near piping. Removed all damaged furniture,Carpet,Ceiling foam tiles,wood baseboards/trimming.....etc!
And I can go on and on!

Metal ring broke off that connected 2 Pex water pipes within wall behind water heater on 2nd floor. This caused water to leak within the walls, insulation, and flooring to the upstairs bedroom, laundry room, downstairs powder room, hallway closet, garage, and crawl space.
My first interaction/experience was when I called Restoration1 of Freehold and I spoke to Roger B. who guided me through the mitigation process. Roger was very transparent about each step. I scheduled a date and time for him to see the home. During his assessment visit, he was diligent in ensuring the potential hidden areas of water damage were investigated. He helped call the homeowner's insurance claims department to open the claim to ensure there was no miscommunication in terms of the damages sustained and the necessary work to be done.
In less than 24 hours after Roger's initial visit, a 4 person field service crew (Joe, Iwata, Weslee, and Kevin) arrived in the morning (Dec 23 - 2 days before the Christmas holiday) to start removing the water affected areas. Roger arrived with the crew to ensure all areas were being covered. He even helped with a minor vent connection issue.
All the crew wore shoe covers as they did their work around the home. It was an all day job from morning to evening. Each of them carefully moved household items away from the damaged areas in a respectful manner. No personal items or belongings were damaged. They checked and rechecked surfaces with their moisture sensor meter to confirm all wet areas (carpeting, dry walls, insulation) were removed. Very thorough service! Multiple dehumidifers and fans were running and slowly drying the areas. All areas were completely dried as of Fri, Dec 27.
Restoration 1 of Freehold runs a smooth operation that makes it easy on the homeowner who needs to care of the issue. My 1st contact was with Roger. He arrived with Vincent. They assessed the basement and worked to my insurance to get the claim in works. Day 2 began to remove items. Vincent and Philip. The various crews worked tirelessly for the week. Removing carpet and items that could be saved. During the time Anna was in contact, confirming that all was proceeding to my satisfaction. Everyone I dealt with was phenomenal. I would recommend this company AND all employees to anyone.

Restoration 1 responded shortly after being called to inspect the water damage in my basement. Dameion Simon, first to arrive assessed the damage. He explained what had to be done to correct the problem, including working with my insurance claim number. I was impressed and gave him the ok to go ahead. Later the same day Tech's arrived with equipmment and set things up, including covering the carpet with plastic. The lead Tech with Sara arrived to check things out, however, it was Tech's Joe and Iawata who came every day to monitor progress, until the job was finished. My bathrooms were a mess with the upstairs toilet leaking downstairs and in the basement. We didn't know until water dripped into our 1st floor bathroom.

After discovering a large water and mold problem, Restoration 1 was at my house within an hour or two, walked me through what needed to be done and how they do it. I am very disappointed with the service we received. I got the run around for several days before people finally showed up to do work. There were over 30 bags of debris and garbage that was left on my lawn and never picked up. There is a mold like odor in the house after the remediation was done. Not all of the drywall that should have been removed was removed. The house looks like a complete mess after the work was done. No clean up whatsoever.
