I don't usually leave reviews, but I felt like I had to for Reid & Pederson. I've used them twice in the past couple months (replaced ejector pump & cleared drain line) and I couldn't be happier with the work they did.
Jose (Service Pro) was outstanding!! He was extremely knowledgeable and friendly and he explained everything clearly to me every step of the way. A true professional.
They also had great communication with me from when I first called them until the job was complete, so I knew exactly when to expect a call or when the Service Pro was going to come over. Nobody likes having work done to their house, but they made the entire process as painless as possible and that's all I can ask for. After getting two quotes from know plumbing services who offered no guarantees for three times even four times the money Reid & Peterson got the job done in have the time and went straight to the problem. Totally terrific, and honest.
This is the second time I've used Reid & Pederson in the last 6 - 7 months. It cost more than twice as much for a similar problem in the same area but I was pleased that it was rectified and all I had to do was a little clean up afterwards. I would recommend Jose again and again. (See More)

Originally I called Rotor-Rootor because my basement drain was overflowing from my washer. Their technician stated it was an ejector pump that needed to get replaced and wanted to charge me an outstanding amount. I knew the price was excessive so I called Reid & Pederson because of a recommendation. The representative quoted me over the phone. I was able to get a technician out within 12 hours. The technician I had was Jose A. He was amazing, outgoing, and explained the whole process with no fluff or gimmicks. Jose realized that the first quote was excessive and ensured me it will be a lot less. In addition it wasn’t even the ejector pump, it was the back up sump pump. In fact I didn’t even have an ejector pump. Jose, followed the CDC guidelines and extra precautions. Jose broke down the pricing and was able to fix on the spot with just over an hour. He even swept and cleaned up the area he was working. I will be going to Reid & Pederson for all my drain needs! (See More)

They sent me a text with the technician’s picture when he was on his way. He was very thorough and seemed to know what was going on almost immediately. Jose was very polite and completely informing me on the sequence of what he was doing and about to do. Was here one hour, Rodded with 3” first then 4” after drain was cleared. Used the camera and explained its use and recorded the event. After the camera he located the septic tank and measured the exterior. Found the depth of the tank 6-8” and dug a small hole to locate the cover. We were done at this point as I indicated I would finish the digging and have a company come out and evaluate the tank. No roots to speak of were present during the rodding process. The camera showed signs of the 4” inlet pipe dropping below the septic tank which I agree needs attention. Unusually quick response to my drainage issues. The team quickly diagnosed the issue and had to "belly" crawl in my interior crawl space, to the sewer line and cleaned up to 90 feet of sewer. The job was through, the same as was done a year ago, and we then planned a Spring 2018 installation of a "clean out" for easier access. Jose A. was very professional from the time he rang our doorbell, until he wrote out the Work Order, asked if there were any questions, said good bye and left our home. He was very friendly and attentive as he listened to us, about what was wrong. Once he finished listening, Jose focused on our problem, gathered his equipment from the service truck and brought it inside. Jose was very careful as he did so. He had brought down a tarp and some cardboard first, to protect our carpet (in the family room), as well as walls and utility room items. Reid and Petersen was recommended to me by my mother a couple of years ago. I have a couple of homes, and have used them for drainage or sewer issues at each location. They are prompt, professional, well trained, experienced and extremely knowledgeble. They are readily prepared to handle any job, no matter how seemingly complex. I appreciate that they are courteous and they value a customer's time by responding promptly; usually ahead of the scheduled appointment time, completing the job expeditiously, and leaving the customer very little if any clean up following their work. They are meticulous and thorough, which I truly appreciate. My technician Jose is extremely skillful and methodical. Betty, the service dispatcher is obviously extremely knowledgeable about all aspects of a pending service call and what it entails. She is technically proficient and excels in gleaning information from customers in order to properly evaluate what service will be required. I had an emergency going on at my home; my sump pump finally gave up the ghost and the result was, of course, a flooded basement. I had just finished hanging new drywall and was afraid it would get wet and I'd have to start all over again. So, I called Reid and Pederson, right away, talked to the lady on the phone, who was so patient and understanding. She assured me that she would have someone call me back in no longer than 1/2 hour. Sure enough, John Reid called me and patiently and with understanding said he would have someone out in about an hour and a half to replace the pump. Along came Jose to the rescue! Her format leaves one confused on how to pay. While I already expected to pay at the time of service, Sandy's conversation regarding billing me was not helpful and created unnecessary confusion.
I would have liked a call the day of service when it was clear the repair guy was just finishing up a call and would miss the 9am - 11am window. I found out because I called.

On Tuesday morning, Jose arrived to inspect our ejector pump. He informed us that the pump's motor had blown out. He informed us of the cost that would be associated with the replacing of the pump and was able to perform the service right there and then.

I had a backup in my bathtub.
I was given the runaround by at least 5 plumbers.
I started calling for help at 7:30 -8:00 in the morning. I explained I was at work, but I'd be home at 4:00 to grant access to the tub..
Every plumber automatically wanted to add on a charge for coming out during " premium" hours. At 4:00???????
One plumber even planned on charging $325.... Just for a tub rotting...
Thank God I came across Reid and Pederson. They arrived at 4:00 and were so kind. They put nice clean booties on upon entering my house and continued their extreme cleanliness throughout their visit. Jose was completely professional and kind. They detailed and explained what was wrong with my tub plumbing, and made suggestions on how to improve it in the future.
As they finished the rotting, they cleaned my tub with bleach cleanser, I was in awe of their consideration. As I've been victim of horrible and filthy servicemen in the past. Obviously, not the case here.

I found this company via a web search and noted that they have many (if not all) positive reviews. We called on a holiday when the office was closed, but a very attentive and personable woman from their answering service assured me that she would pass on our info and our need to the folks in charge. "You'll get a call back today," she said. Sure enough, we did. John (I believe it was) listened, gave us options, and then made an appointment for us first thing next working day. The price was much better than other similar service we'd gotten from other comparable service companies, with a couple of discounts thrown in, too, making it a  no-brainer as far as trying them out. The morning of the service call, we got an email from R&P with a photo of the gentleman who would be coming to the house. When he arrived, he put on shoe coverings (so as not to dirty the floor), a large tarp on the floor in the area in which he'd be working, and newspaper around the area that might get splashed in the job. He was so polite, friendly, so patient, so thorough. I'm thankful we found Reid and Peterson. My husband and I had just bought our house when I noticed after a heavy rain that we had a couple inches of water in our basement, underneath our family room. My boss recommended this business for us. Jose was very polite and professional. He came in and found out immediately that the drain needed to be rodded out. He was done very quickly, which was nice. Jose and Dave of Reid and Pederson responded timely to my appt for them to clean out the air vent to my Kitchen/Utility rm roof vent. The vent was clogged with leaves, seeds and general debris that accumulated since the house was built in 1956. The air was blocked causing gurgling sounds when a sink full of water was drained. Trees that were tiny are now towering over the house and dropping large volumes of leaves and seed pods. (Silver maples). I've used Reid & Pederson for 7 years. I've called for same day service and scheduled a day or two out. They have cleared completely clogged drains (bathtub, bathroom sink) and slow drains. They are extremely meticulous and clean as they wear shoe covers in the house, cover work areas with paper and wipe up when they finish. Very quick and efficient.
