Vince has completed lots of work at my house to include a new pressure tank and whole home water filtration system. Never had an issue with Reed and Sons till now.
However had another technician show up to fix a small pin hole leak in a pipe and instead of replacing the 8 inch section the first time he just replaced the little spot where one pin hole leak was, $230. Then leaked again 10 minutes later and had to wait for him to come back out to fix it. Then he proceeded to tell me he would have to charge me again for this work, which was fixing the original leaking pipe. Told him I’d call the main office and figure it out with them and he didn’t want me to do that. He then proceeded to guilt trip me into “billed hours” boss said to charge. Until he decided to write up the work somehow to cover his previous and then told me the office would decide whether I would be billed again. I leave for work and come home 3 days later to find the coupling he installed was cracked and had been leaking and spraying water all over my basement. So now I have no water to the house until they open again. And hundreds of dollars in damage to construction materials, tools, paint, walls, and flooring. Hard to trust certain technicians when this happens and they do not have an emergency number to call if you have any issues. Hopefully they make it right the third time around. (See More)

Vince and Dakota are good communicators and very skilled at their trade. I have plumbing that is vintage to my 1958 home and would always appreciate it being repaired in a manner that preserves both the function and appearance of the original. Vince used a source for the exact matches for my shower/tub stems and diverter. These parts restored my fixtures to their original glory. The result is most satisfying.
I have more plumbing restoration needs going forward and would not hesitate to call Reed & Sons for any future plumbing repairs. (See More)

I needed to have gas lines rerouted to accommodate a new range that I purchased. Vince and his assistant took a look at the situation and quickly came up with a few options with varying price points and explained them clearly to me. Once a decision was reached, they knocked the job out quickly and without any issues. Vince and Dakota were both great. They listened to what I had to say and although presented with an unusual problem due to the prior install from a waterproofing issue, they were able to work around what was in front of them.
I gave them permission to tear out a drywall alcove if necessary to properly install the new sump pump, but to my great surprise and joy, they were able to work around that obstacle and didn't have to remove any drywall.
Althogh Reed and Son isn't my regular plumber, I'll be sure to use them again.

We hired Reed and Son to handle some plumbing related to our master bath remodel in Aug 2019. We woke up Sunday morning to a major leak coming from a sharkbite the technician used to connect two pipes under our tub. There was extensive damage to our living room ceiling and we cannot get to the pipes because they are behind the bathroom tile. Meaning we have to demo our brand new bathroom to address this issue. We contacted the company first thing Monday morning and they sent a technician out immediately. The technician confirmed that the leak was coming from the sharkbite and admitted he was not sure why the previous technician would have used a sharkbite for our situation. He seemed confident that the owner would be willing to work with us to fix this issue. He was very kind, courteous and sympathetic. Unfortunately, the owner said the leak is outside of their 1 year warranty and therefore would not offer any reprieve for the damage caused by an obvious shortcut his technician took at great risk to us. He even said they would charge us to fix the actual leak. Although they have good reviews from other customers, please be extra careful with this company and watch over their work and choices. You expect to be able to trust a plumber to make responsible choices since they are supposed to be the experts. We are devastated to be dealing with this only a little over a year after our expensive bathroom remodel. (See More)

Reed and Son Services came out to do a thorough investigation of the problem with our pipes before starting the job. They gave us a plan and an estimate and returned on time to do the work. We have a complicated older home, and the plumbers stayed the whole day and completed the job including an additional item. They were very knowledgeable and the work was well done. They took photos to use for future reference of how the pipes were done. They were thorough about cleanup and completed the work in the time frame they said. The work was done quickly, but still taking the extra steps to improve and simplify the piping from a previous installation. In the end my water treatment system and water flow was improved. Before leaving Vince explained the ins and outs of the new treatment tank, provided suggestions on how to make servicing the tank easier and pointed out a potential issue I could have with the location of an in-line filter. We had a water backup into a finished bedroom in our basement from an outdoor spigot and several questions about other plumbing matters. Mark and Hunter looked at each issue and quoted prices for each thing. They were patient and explained our options. We had them replace the outside spigot and cut holes in the ceiling of our basement bathroom to locate the valve to turn off the water to the spigot hiding behind the drywall. Vince is very personable and does a very neat and professional job. This was the second visit to the house for our new whole house sediment filter and reverse osmosis system. It was the first time to change the filters, and one seemed a little difficult, so I thought it best to observe it done for the first time. Vince came to change out the filters. I had purchased one of my own for the sediment filter, but they provided the ones for the reverse osmosis system. The work was great, and absolutely no complaints with the quality. It looks like I can purchase the filters online for about $40, so the labor cost did seem a little high at over $200, (including the reverse osmosis filters), for less than an hour to change out all of the filters. I felt that they did an excellent job with the original installation, but I believe that I will replace the filters myself in the future, barring any complications. It's worth $150 in savings to me for about 30 - 45 minutes of work. (See More)

With all of this rain we needed a new sump pump, the old one was 15 years old and making a terrible noise. I called Reed and Sons on Sunday and they came out Monday to install a new sump pump. On the day of work, Vincent & his young apprentice arrived on time and were ready to work. They had a very cheerful attitude and were highly knowledgeable about their craft. Vincent explained everything that he was going to do and showed me all of his work after he finished. After installing a new hot water heater, he even cleaned up after finishing his work and left the place cleaner than it was before. Mark and Vince did a really good job moving our hose bib. They were particularly helpful and patient showing me how to drain the pipes when winter approaches. The way they installed the new bib was direct and did not interfere with the renovation under way with our sun room. Unfortunately I have had to use Reed and sons 4 times in the past 2 years for some fairly major work. Each and every staff member has been punctual, polite, and professional. All took the time to answer questions, offer tips for dealing with smaller issues/maintenance on my own, and more. I work as a chief for a parks system locally and deal with contractors every week...Reed and Son honestly stands out with the best of them. Obvious small town, family business makes the difference. Vince showed up on time and quickly found the leak. Realizing there was water damage and further repairs would be needed, he called Patrick and he also came. They repaired the leak and also made a direct call to the Flood Department for us and had them there within the next hour to take care of the water damage.

Vince is a top technician when it comes to plumbing issues. On a prior visit, he replaced my well pump in minimum time. Today he replaced a positemp cartridge in my shower faucet. while it resisted coming free from the cartridge, Vince used his vast knowledge to solve the issue and restored the faucet to 100% capacity in less than one hour. Reed and Sons installed new water heater for us a couple of years ago...great , pro job. Just had Vince come out for service call and he replaced water pump switch which was clogged with sediment. Vince very friendly, professional and knows his stuff. Walked me through repair issue possibilities and he narrowed it down to switch so we didn't need to swap out tanks or semi new pump which saved time and $$. Highly recommend Reed and Sons for any repair needs.

I had a backup problem in my kitchen sink, a bad one. Called Reed and Son and Vince was out shortly. I have to admit that most of the problem was due to homeowner engineering, but Vince sorted it all out very quickly. Patrick Reed was out a year or so ago to replace a leaking well tank. Our home was built in the 1800's and the owners before us didn't take very good care of it, Patrick and his team helped us get the well straight as well as giving us advice on other issues. He was completely knowledgeable about our water condtions and the equipment. He was able to do the installation today.
