While considering companies from whom to purchase a new HVAC system, a good friend and neighbor recommended that I speak to Darryl Boswell from Progressive Service Company. My neighbor raved about Darryl going above and beyond the call of duty when he worked with him several years ago. So I called Darryl, who came out the next day, reviewed my needs and situation, recommended re-situating the furnace to give me more space in my attic, and provided a quote that same day. I checked other Progressive reviews online and was satisfied that my neighbor's recommendation was shared by others and it was, across the board. We accepted the proposal and the installation occurred a couple days later by Brandon Upchurch, who did a great job. Darryl was also in attendance at the outset to ensure that Brandon was on the same page re the re-configuration. I was very impressed with all aspects of the process, from bidding, through installation, to clean-up. Progressive Service Company is definitely the one to deal with when it comes to HVAC needs in Raleigh! (See More)

Progressive is the only way to go for HVAC services/installation! We needed AC/HVAC replacement as our units were over 13 years old...and it was time. Since this was a major purchase, we reached out to multiple companies for estimates.
Darryl, from Progressive, came to our home for a free consultation and explained multiple options for replacing our AC and Heating units. He was friendly, courteous, helpful and extremely informative. Based on the information provided, the outline of the contract and the quality of products (Trane) and Progressive / Trane warranties, we totally agreed that Progressive was the company to go with and Trane was the product to purchase.
Darryl was phenomenal to work with! He always did what he said he was going to do. He was so incredibly responsive to all the additional questions I had. The order was placed in a very efficient manner and our install was quickly scheduled. The turn around time was amazing! Darryl was also so flexible in accommodating our schedule when we had to move the install date out due personal conflicts we had.
Our install occurred on Monday, January 21st...the absolutely coldest day in a very long time. The crew was phenomenal! They were meticulous in making sure that they covered the rugs/stairs and their work areas. They kept us updated on every step of the process and we were without heat for only a relatively short period of time considering the magnitude of the work involved.
I can't tell you how incredibly happy we were with the service. Trevor, one of our installers, was THE BEST! So incredibly polite, easy going, informative, helpful. Trevor has so much integrity in his work and excellent customer service skills!

When our gas pack died, we got three estimates. The one from Progressive was comparable to the others, except that they included 10 years of free labor (as long as we paid a small fee to maintain the system every year), and a digital thermostat. In addition, we were referred to them by Duke Energy, so we will be receiving more than $300 back in rebates from Duke because Progressive is an approved vendor.
Darryl, the estimator, was clear and careful, the installers were absolutely great—efficient, neat and polite—and everyone at the company has been super responsive. We changed the date for installation (we moved it up), and they turned on a dime to accommodate us.

After dealing with four HVAC companies and not being satisfied with proposals for a new system, I called Progressive. And Darryl Boswell was at my house about an hour later. Hi offering was clear as he explained the options available. In less than an hour, I was satisfied that we were offered the best system to suit our needs and at my target price. At 9:30 am the next morning, Alex, the lead installer and his assistant Anthony. Worked under an oppressively hot and rainy day to complete a perfect installation.
Our warranty includes 10 years for parts but even more surprising, 10 years labor as well as long as we agree to have Progressive check out system yearly for a modest charge.
A nice surprise, after the system was turned on was the sound level of the new compressor - VERY quiet.

Progressive Service Company provided a detailed analysis of our needs for two replacement HVAC systems. Their installation manager Darryl's proposal provided specific, detailed choices at highly competitive prices. The installation team of **** and ****** were very professional and went about their job skillfully and diligently. They used care to protect floors and carpet with plastic and tarps while removing the old interior systems and installing the new system. They were very respectful and taught us the basics of operation. The two full systems were installed effectively, tested and working well when they completed the job. They left no trace of debris.
