Michael J. came to our house yesterday to deal with a frozen Moen tub/shower faucet cartridge. What was supposed to be a 1/2 hr job become 3 hrs. The brass cartridge would not budge after many failed attempts, so he replaced the entire tub/shower valve and hardware. A very professional job done by a very competent plumber. I provided all specs to John who installed the 50 gal unit. He con firmed all ok for him. He said water temp and all were ok. After one day we still had limited WARM water. I for a test kit and confirmed temp was below 120 degrees. I contacted michaels plumbing, shared my info and another tech came. He used a laser temp gauge which registered 121. I used my laser tester as well as the test from Duke energy, both showed temp well below 120. He said he could do nothing since the settings on the water heater set to 120, he could do nothing. After set gauges up to 125, the water from the unit was finally at 121. That was what we expected. I called John again with results and came with a stack of excuses and fish tailed with a pile of excuses. My recommendation, buy the same Rheem unit at the best price and get anyone but Michaels to do the hookup, because they take no responsibility for customer support. (See More)

Great experience with Michael's Plumbing. I Will definitely call them again when in need--hopefully not soon:-) Feedback: All good. Quick and responsive service. Showed up on time. Good communication and worked with me on scheduling around my work meetings. The technician, Tony, was professional and figured out what the problem was which was not easy and required a lot of digging. He provided a good solution and consulted with me to make sure I approved of the course of action. He did a nice neat job and didn't leave my property a mess, which I truly appreciate! Excellent customer service, friendly people, and quality work. We had our whole house replumbed and subsequently continued to renovate the rest of the house. When we needed help with anything plumbing they were there immediately so that we did not delay our renovations. Had a leak that I needed located. The customer service rep was friendly and polite. They had someone scheduled the same day for me and called in advance like they said they would. A substantial amount of work was done, e.g. replumb entire home with pex pipe, replace fixtures, install new disposal, and more. Because of property age (40 years), rust and corrosion were issues in old parts removal, but all work was done promptly, within budget, and all is working fine. Well done! (See More)

We had to shut off the water to the house. We called Michael's and they were able to fit us in that day. They even called to keep me informed of when I might expect John M. the plumber. John M. arrived and got the job done perfectly! John M. was friendly and knowledgeable. He explained the whole thing. When called and requesting an estimate I was accommodated within one hour. A leak specialist was there at the front door ready to inspect the house and gave me a quote and was finished within 30 minutes. He was very particular in not messing the house up. Ruth L called me back about 15 minutes after I called and she told me the plumber was on the way! About 45 minutes later, Patrick E showed up. Was overcharged for the repairs made. Did not fix the problem had to call another plumbing company to repair the issue. Plumbing company called and said they would be returning my 91 year old mother 100.00. Ha ha never saw that check. . they charged her over 1000.00 to repair a leak behind a washer. Still leaking the next day. Got the repairs done for 250. 00 from another company. Highly recommend Donnie Daniels plumbing. This company will overcharge you and good luck with the repairs. I made the call early on Sunday morning requesting service for a leaking solar water heater. About an hour and a half later Patrick Lafferty was at my door. He immediately assessed the problem and advised they would have to order a part. Monday morning he called to advise the part had been ordered and it would be coming from across the country. The earliest he could fix the water heater would be on Thursday. We agreed to a time convenient for me and promptly at the agreed time, Patrick showed up. He spent almost 3 hours non stop working on the issue which is now resolved and I am extremely grateful to Patrick and hist skills. I highly recommend Michael's Plumbing. (See More)

We had to have an evaluation of all the plumbing in our home done for insurance renewal. Patrick inspected all the plumbing in the house, garage and outside, explained what we had was in good conditioned with no problems. Took the needed pictures and filled out the insurance companies form. He was very polite, friendly and professional. Had problem with water softener installed by Michael's Plumbing. They came over promptly and were unable to detect the why water was getting filled in the tank. The representative was on call with the manufacturer and after couple of hours of checking indicated the problem may be with softener itself. Indicated they had checked the external drain pipe and no clogging was found. Manufacturer representative detected clog in the drain pipe within 15 mins. I paid $200 to Michael's Plumbing. In the past have had good experience. This was one off experience where I felt the service expected was not provided and I was charged for work which did not get done by them. (See More)

Up front I know I agreed to the price. But once I had the work done and the shock wore off I thought how stupid I was to agree to $860 for installing a new shower valve. I thought maybe it would take a long time to do, being a hole in the other bathroom had to be made to get to the shower in the bathroom for the new valve - what do I know, so for only 2 1/2 hrs the labor $392. The valve @ $268.68 (Home Depot - looks like their $46 one - your supervisor, Michael, said you won't see your trucks there, hm?) according to Michael, this is a top of the line Moen, which it "should have been" for that price, but it doesn't give you water flow adjustment if you want less water you go back to the cold. The fact that I spent $860 then, I had to spend the afternoon cleaning all the dry wall dust in the areas of the house where it gathered, I was told by Michael, no nothing can be done about reducing that from going everywhere well, at least let me know what to expect. Also besides $860 I have to pay additional money to get the dry wall taken care of. The postive things of doing business with you was the plumber, Claudius and Ruth on the phone, they were courteous. I was glad that Claudius put the metal plate around the valve so I wouldn't have to add tile work to the cost. Michael talked about quality, which came across as a smoke screen, because if you really want to do right by your customers you can give them that and a fair price. You've been in business 20 years and a A+ Better Business Bureau, interesting? Well needless to say if I need a plumber in the future, for a new project, I will be looking elsewhere. (See More)

I have used Michael’s Plumbing since I purchased my first home. I had to called them out about three years living in my new home...due to a pipe broke in the wall. Again nothing but great customer service all around from the office staff to the service technician. I would highly recommend them for any plumbing issues you my have to something minor like changing the valve in your toilet tank to a full repipe of your home. I have literally called one day and can get service the next day...now this is very rare to happen with any company. However, I’ve called twice and was able to get an appointment. Ruth and Diane are awesome too. I want to thank Ruth for scheduling me an appointment yesterday and I was able to have a technician today at my house @8:00. Jim was awesome and he did a great job, as I’m remodeling my kitchen and a few minor changes needed to be done for my new kitchen. I want to say thank you Michael’s Plumbing and Happy Holidays! Michael's Plumbing is awesome. After unsuccessfully trying to arrange service with 2 other plumbers, I talked to Mike at 7:30 last nite. He was experienced and knowledgeable - said he would ask the office to call me this morning at 9 to arrange an appointment. At 8:15, Ruth called me and arranged for a serviceman to arrive at my house by 10 AM today. He arrived at 9 AM. John was very cordial, experienced and totally understanding of our water heater situation. He went above and beyond technically and with his level of service. Plus, he arrived with the new heater based on my discussion with Mike and went right to work. John actually saved me money with his level of service and dedication to doing the job right and well. Quick response to my internet request (some companies have online forms but fail to look at them/respond). My outdoor spigot was repaired quickly and by someone who obviously knew what they were doing (again, some service techs that have done work for me are clueless). I also spoke with the the representative with questions I had and he explained the answers so that I understood. The representative also filled me in on his opinion of whole-house water filtration and softener systems, which was helpful since I've been researching these for installation. (See More)

Michael's Plumbing is going to be my go-to-business for all my plumbing needs. I have used Michael's twice and was impressed with the service from the prompt scheduling done by Ruth and the professional friendly field reps. Claudius was the latest plumber. I initially only thought I needed to have my very old garbage disposal removed to clean out a small clog in my kitchen sink. After taking out the garbage disposal, Claudius tested the line. He showed me how the plug was caused by a lot of grease. He had to go to the roof and run an electrical snake thru the line to clear the clog. This is the second day. My sinks are unclogged and the pipes are dry as a bone. No leaks! (See More)

Michael H. of Michael's Plumbing is flat out one of the nicest guys I have ever come across. Very long story short, my sewer drain pipe was broken due to a communications cable being run through it by mistake. Michael responded immediately (still just days after the hurricane) to my home and realized we had a huge problem. Once the problem was diagnosed, he was with my family and I, EVERY STEP OF THE WAY to make sure the problem was resolved. His knowledge, kindness, professionalism, promptness, and ability to keep me informed was absolutely mind boggling and extremely refreshing. I work for a nationwide company who prides themselves on our customer service, and there is no doubt in my mind that Michael provided the BEST customer service I have ever seen. On time, and a job well done! I've lived in central Florida for 5 years and did'n't really know who to call when my sewer pipe was crushed by workers installing my new pool. I looked in the yellow pages and decided to call Michael's Plumbing since they had good reviews. Problem was not corrected. Technician spent entirely too much time walking to his car for tools and did not properly complete the repair. The owner, Michael, was less than polite when he spoke with my wife. Faucet was loose, again, a few weeks later. I actually go out of my way to tell people never to use Michael's Plumbing. There was a bit of a delay in resolving the issue at first due to a miscommunication involving third party regarding payment. I communicated with the management team and helped by Dayana, Ruth and Michael respectively. Each person I spoke to responded in a very constructive and helpful way. The issue was quickly resolved. Michael’s Plumbing ended up sending more than one team to the field to make sure the issue was properly addressed and I received detailed reports from the field technicians John and Ariel. Ariel also sent me some pictures and called me with advice on how to prevent the issue from reoccurring again down the road. Given my previous wonderful experience, I used Michael’s Plumbing again this December for replacement of an old water heater, and again I was not disappointed. They sent out their team and did the work the same day I called them, and their work was again completed professionally and amazingly well. I am truly happy and impressed with the user friendliness and the quality of service of Michael’s plumbing. Throughout my entire experience in dealing with this company, I got a strong feeling that their management and work process are transparent; their entire team are working as one to strive for quality service and best customer experience. I have used Michael's in the past which is why I contacted them again this time. I've had 2 leaks in the past month, totally different areas of the house, Michael came out, was very courteous and informative and walked thru other areas of concern while he was here. As it is said, when it rains it pours and that it did! I had discussed an entire re-pipe with him and was provided an estimate. I decided to go ahead and have it done due to my discovery of the class action lawsuit on the polyurethane piping I currently have and the problems I could face in the future with it. Be aware if u do have this type of piping, insurance companies will cancel you if you file a water damage claim and your house will not pass inspection if your looking to sell. You will have to have it re-piped in order to pass. I learned this after talking to my insurance agent. Just an FYI. Anyhow, low and behold, the hot water heater started leaking 2 days later! Glad I decided to re-pipe now before major damage. Thank you to Michael for being forthcoming with me with the potential concerns throughout the house. Because of this, he saved me from a major headache in the obviously near future. I would definitely recommend to everyone. After an unpleasant experience with another company, I called Michael's to see if I could get a same day water heater installation. Not only could they do it, but they were able to come at an exact time rather than somewhere in a long window of time. Mike was quick, courteous and explained the whole process. Feel very ripped off from the service. Guy quoted me $529 (3 hours) for repair and $4800 to replace w new 80 gallon hybrid tank. Found the same tank at Lowes for $1600, I showed it to Arsenio. He called his manager and said he could go as low as $4400. I declined and he fixed the leak in an hour. $500 for an hour repair? I am putting this review on as many online sites as possible so others do not get ripped off like I did. (See More)

I feel gypped. I was charged $574 for putting two drains in two tubs (drains were purchased by me and no parts were provided by Michael's and no pipe work was done) and snaking a drain that wasn't even an emergency, which I couldn't do only because I couldn't pull the drain up myself. $54 was to walk into the front door and didn't even count towards anything. I've paid less to have entire sinks put in and plumbed before. This took about an hour of work. $574? Way overpriced. Pathetic. (See More)

It all started from the stressed morning I was having, I was so fortunate to see Michael's plumbing truck pass me on the road going the opposite direction. I called the number and one of the nicest people that I spoke to in a long time answered the phone. Her name was Ruth, she was caring, accommodating, and had an incredible sense of listening. I was told by Ruth that she would have the next available tech to my house when it was accommodating for me. I told her to give me a 45 minute lead way to get to my house to meet the tech and without fail she did exactly what she promised. The fee was nominal and the service was incredible.
