My water softener was not recycling properly. When Nick showed up the first thing out of his mouth was this is a old unit and you need a new one which will cost $3000. He began doing water tests where he said the water was hard. Duh, why do you think we called you. He also started talking about how we needed a new air pressure tank and our well was old. We explained in detail what was going on and when during recycling it happens. He did not seem to care. Never checked to see if anything was clogged ,tubing or pipes. Adjusted the back flow and left after my husband stated we are not in the market for a new softener. (See More)

I would like to thank Mike and his very professional associates, Junior and Noodin for there excellent work installing my new furnace, humidifier, and air conditioner. Everyone was courteous and they did excellent work in a timely fashion. They even worked on the air conditioner in the rain. Junior helped train me on the new thermostat and made it easy to connect the device to my iPhone. Both of them did a nice job cleaning up after they were finished. It was a pleasure to have them in our home. We would recommend them to anyone, including our family members. When Home Depot delivery guys couldn't take the time to find proper connections to install our new dishwasher and said we'd have to cut an access hole in our finished basement ceiling, Nic came to the rescue! I have used MacGregor in the past for several projects. All in the past were professional and supervised by a MASTER PLUMBER.
This last project was far from it. I needed an outside spigot installed and the installation was embarrasingly unprofessional. The so called plumber used zip ties to secure the spigot against the frame.
I was forced to hire the MASTER PLUMBER who had left MacGregor to professionally install the Spigot.
It’s my understanding that MacGregor no longer has a full time MASTER PLUMBER on staff. (See More)

He went above & beyond by fixing his schedule so that the hot water heater could be put in the following day not two days later. Very easy to communicate with, used descriptions I could understand. This morning I had a service call by one of your technicians, Nic. I wanted to let you know what an excellent job that Nic did in not only fixing our leaky faucet put also how professionally he represented your organization (MacGregor Heating and Plumbing). We. received a call that Nic was on the way. He arrived here as expected on time and very neatly dressed. I explained the problem that we were have with one of our faucets in our bathroom. He immediately went to work trying to diagnose the problem and then come up with a positive solution. Within a few minutes he discovered the problem and came up with an immediate resolution. During the entire time he made sure that he did not mess up our bathroom. He explained to me all along the way what he was doing and why and making certain that I was on board with what he was doing. The end result was that our problem was no longer a problem. Everything got put back together as it should be and our leak was gone. I would definitely recommend Nic and MacGregor Plumbing to anyone. Dear MacGregor Plumbing, I want to give you some feedback on one of your employees (Nic Irwin) who recently provided us with excellent service. While you have a feedback mechanism in reviewbuzz.com, I don't belong or want to join any of the companies that you have to provide you with feedback so I thought that I would come to you directly. Recently we had a sprayer on our kitchen faucet that leaked. Nic came out on the original call to look at the problem. He showed up at the exact time he said he would and was very professional and friendly in his approach. He quickly identified the problem and worked on a solution. Because of needing a very specific part from Kohler we had to schedule a second visit. He thoroughly explained the steps. Once the part was received, a second trip was scheduled to install it. Nic again was here as promised on time. He quickly went about fixing the sprayer. He did not leave any mess and was good about cleaning up. When it came to the billing, Nic went over again what we had discussed on the first visit, which I thought was very fair.
