This past weekend (8/1/20) our A/C went out and we had not previously had a contract with MacGregor for service. Despite that, and that we were calling upon arrival up north at 6 pm on a Saturday, Debi did an exceptional job working with me and got John out there to our condo to diagnose the problem We were desperate, and Debi and John did out standing work. We couldn't even point them at our proper A/C unit at the condo building. Deb was committed to doing everything she could to help us. Our condo was 83 degrees when we arrived, we had 5 adults and 2 children under the age of 3 staying there that night and the next two weeks. Temp out side was 85 degrees. It was an emergency of maximum proportion. Debi worked to get John the technician there in 20 minutes and John, despite no help from us, figured out the problem and wouldn't give up till he had it running 100%. Your team is exceptional and not the typical - don't care, its the weekend, this isn't my problem, kind of team. Congrats on building and keeping exceptional employees that put customer's care first. On Monday we came into the office here at MGB and you could tell the AC unit wasn't working and we decided to see if it needed thawing. As we suffered Monday, we started Tuesday morning the same, and then I called MacGregor Plumbing and Heating. Within 2 hours a technician was on site and the problem fixed, which otherwise would've never gotten better. Just wanted to let you know how thankful our staff was for the quick service! (See More)

I know this is not the way you wish to receive the thanks for a job well done, but it is the way I understand since I do not use other sites. I cannot thank you enough for your response to my frantic call about water coming into the crawl space. Thanks for sending David, who responded In a very friendly and professional way and not under the best of circumstances. I don’t know if David told you but he joined other of my reliable Professionals that I can call during an emergency. They all worked together and helped to ease my distress. David also replaced the salt in my water softener. I cannot express how grateful I am for your fast response to my plea for help as well as David who got the pipe unplugged and the water stopped flowing into our crawl space. Thank You very much!!! Jim from MacGregor's came and looked at our problem, water pump motor not running, diagnosed it but could not get parts to repair it. He suggested a alternative plan to find the part which I did by calling Luttrell's (business was not his suggestion just the type of business) who had the part and came an installed it. Problem solved. Debbie deserves a thanks for getting Jim to the house before the promised 5 pm which greatly contributed to getting our water pump running before the weekend. So even though they couldn't fix the problem in a timely fashion they still helped us get to the final repair. (See More)

Technition was efficient and courtious. My only concern was that I was not provided a written statement when the work was completed, just given the total which I paid by check. Having dealt with MacGregor on other occasions, they were the 1st to call when we have a problem. They come when they say they will come, explain how they approach the problem you may have, are efficient, polite, knowledgeable and a pleasure with which to deal. Could you ask for more in this day and time?? I see Chad was the employee of the month. I would hope he is in the running to become the " Employee of the Year". I JUST HAD A SCARY MORNING WHEN MY FURNACE DECIDED TO STOP WORKING.....AND IN THIS FRIGID WEATHER, I WAS CONCERNED. I CALLED MACGREGOR FIRST THING IN THE MORNING AND DEBBIE RETURNED MY CALL. AN APPOINTMENT WAS SET UP AND JOE H. CAME TO MAKE THE MAGIC! IM SO GRATEFUL FOR HIS EXPERT ANALYSIS AND TECHNICAL SKILL. WHEN I RETURNED FROM WORK I HAD A WARM HOUSE AND THE ASSURANCE FROM JOE THAT IF ANYTHING WERE TO GO WRONG, I COULD CALL...AT ANY HOUR. Thanks to Joe for the annual check-up. I liked the check-ups better when they were $99, but Joe did a great job and it's a good investment to know that the furnace is tuned-up and ready for the rest of the winter. Joe was very friendly - I don't think we've ever met but it seemed like I'd known him all my life. Debbie was a big help too - we just had our credit card hijacked last week, so she OK'd me paying in a couple days when our new card gets in. I appreciate that common sense flexibility. (See More)

Chad was awesome!! He fixed the problems on the first trip out. He was extremely friendly and very professional. If it were possible, I'd request him every single time we have a problem. The scheduler for my service appointment kept me posted on his schedule and the fact that he would be later than the schedule due to difficulties at other service appointments that day. I was fine with the delay but being aware of the revised schedule let me plan other of my activities. Chad was polite and knowledgeable about our furnace. He was thorough and answered my questions. John Gay was very courteous and easy to talk with and had a good sense of knowledge with which to work. When he wasn't able to answer a question concerning the purchase of a new boiler, he got the answers for us. On Tuesday I called MacGregor about a cold radiator and asked to have someone come out. Debbie H answered the Harbor Springs office phone and could not have been more pleasant as she listened to my problem, verified she understood all my concerns and asked what time block the next day would be best for me. I picked the 2-5 pm block and she said I would receive a call when the technician was on his way. Indeed I got a call from her and Joe S. showed up at 2:30. He put on shoe covers and showed his ID and I showed him the cold radiator and he proceeded to fix the problem which he did. It involved multiple hikes from the the basement to the 2nd floor radiator and he was entirely pleasant the whole time, answering my numerous questions. Our relationship with Mac Gregor began in 2012 when we got a fabulous new high efficiency German furnace to replace our 75 year old one in our historic Petoskey home. I love the loyalty they have shown us as one of their customers and am very pleased to be able to do business with MacGregor. (See More)
