2/12/2018: Had scheduled a service call, with Jeremy, for an estimate on replacing a water heater. Due to the snow storm on Friday 2/9, Jeremy called and said he was down 2 techs and wanted to reschedule my appt to Monday 2/12 between 8:00-8:30am. At 8:45 i called and spoke w/ Jeremy to ask when the tech would arrive. To my surprise he said it was going to be another 1-1 1/2 hours before someone would arrive as they were on an emergency call. I asked why nobody bothered to call me and let me know they were going to be late and was told they wanted to finish the emergency call they started yesterday. It should have been common courtesy to call me ahead of time to let me know the tech would be late as I know emergencies happen. But instead I had to call and find out the status of my appt. Hopefully this emergency call was worth more than the $1600 estimate, since the $49 service fee probably would have locked me into choosing Lake Cook Plumbing for the repair. Needless to say, I plan to take my business to someone who can provide the simple customer service I expect from a reputable business. (See More)

Brian came to our house to replace two Faucets that we already had and one laundry tub that we already had. We could've done the job ourselves in a 2 to 3 hours but we ran out of time. Brian showed up and asked us how long it had been since we had a plumber out to the house. He proceeded to try to sell us everything he could including telling us that he could chuck or water quality and our shower efficiency. We reiterated that we only needed the replacement of the two Fossetts and one tub. He then asked us how long it had been since we had seen plumbing prices. He sent us an invoice via email that showed the repairs would cost over $3700 . He then told us that the reason it was so high was because of his schooling and that he had more schooling than a brain surgeon. We thought the price was a joke and he then asked us how much we thought it would be and how much we be willing to pay implying that they have a variable pricing schedule based on how stupid you choose to be. We chose to be smart we paid for his services and then had someone from Ford plumbing over to our house who is doing the three jobs that we asked Lake County plumbing to do along with two additional jobs for a total of between four and $500. I would never choose or recommend Lake County plumbing to anyone as they are a complete rip off. (See More)

We needed to faucets replaced and one laundry tub we had both faucets and the laundry tub. All we needed was the installation that we could've done ourselves but we ran out of time after many house projects. I had Brian out and he began to ask me about every water related issue in our home including testing our shower and our water etc. We both related that all we wanted was the replacement of the Fossetts that we already have. He then asked how long is it been since I had a plumber out to the house and had I seen a price list lately. Brian told me we might be shocked by some of the prices. He told me that this job would cost $3754. He then told me that the reason it was so high was because of his schooling and that he had more schooling that a brain surgeon. He said asked my wife and I how much we thought it would be or how much we be willing To pay. This gave me the indication that he has a variable pricing schedule and amounts based on how stupid you choose to be. We chose to be smart and we kicked him out of our house. I recently had ... plumbing out to the house and the total for all the jobs including two additional ones that just came up was between four and $500. Anyone who goes with Lake Cook plumbing is asking for a true gouging of your wallet. Never ever use them Lake county residents! (See More)
