6-26-20 - Greg came in to replace a faulty carbon monoxide detector. On time, no charge, and efficient. Also, double checked for any "leaks." As usual, good service from Jennings. ============= Matt came to our house to review a noise our furnace motor was making. He thoroughly reviewed the situation and let us know that while the furnace was old (30 years or so), there was no need to replace it just now (he did not try to "upsell" us). He did some maintenance, replaced a part, all in a professional and friendly manner. We will use Jennings in the future. ====== As an update, a month later the motor failed. Ben came out, let us know that the part might not be available, but they would check it out. They found the part and installed it so we got heat back. Given the age of the furnace, we decided to purchase a new, higher efficiency one. Jennings offered to use the cost of the replacement part as a down payment on the new furnace, so there was no loss to us!! The repair and purchase was on a Monday, the team came out to remove the old furnace and put in the new one two days later on Wednesday. Sean, Steve, and company did a great job. They put down runners to protect the wood floors and the stairs, did the install, cut down a bush where I wanted the new vent to come out, answered all of my questions, helped set up the new programmable thermostat, and cleaned up. I had my furnace and air conditioner inspected. The technician came out on a Saturday and did a fabulous job. It took him over 2 hours and he never complained. He found an issue that was under warranty and made the necessary arrangements to have the repair done as soon as possible (See More)

I have used Jennings Heating and Cooling since I moved into my house in 2006. Greg M. was the first technician to do preventive maintenance inspection on my furnace. Very knowledgeable, friendly and did a great job explaining everything to me. I have had regular preventative maintenance on my furnace annually...and Greg M. has been my technician many times, including this last one today! Greg was punctual. He worked deligently throughout the day until the job was done and checked everything including the air in the water lines. Greg wore "booties" to protect our floors and cleaned up entirely when he was finished. He didn't seem to mind our occasional presence while he worked. Greg demonstrated a high degree of knowledge and skill when completing this job, to a 100% degree of satisfaction. (See More)

Greg was on time and very informative while he was working on my furnace. He informed me the price of the pieces that need to be changed out and also looked at my air conditioner while he was here. He informed me that both of the furnace and air conditioner or 21 years old. I look forward to working with Jennings as I use them to replace my furnace and air conditioner. Jennings has always done good work for me. I've been using them for 30 years. Their technitions have always been very knowledgeable and friendly. Good work at a fair price. They installed our new construction in 1988 and have installed new A/C and furnace since then, plus annual maintenance. Highly recommend them. (See More)

Greg was awesome. But the flat rate pricing was not a good thing. Problem was the igniter. A $25 part that took about 10 minutes to replace. To justify the ridiculous $330 charge Greg fidgeted around for about 45 minutes. Still, 45 minutes tech time and a $ 25 part...... $330???? Simply outrageous. Fair rate would have been about $150. ($ 80 service call, 15 minutes tech time on site $45 and the $ 25 part. Will not use Jennings again. The service was quick and responsive, Greg was awesome but their pricing is way out of line. I purchased an electric recliner from Furniture Depot on October 8 and it was delivered on October 11. I was impressed with the showroom on Route 8 and the general friendliness of the staff. I highly recommend Jennings. Their staff is very courteous and professional. They called in advance to let me know Greg B.,the Service Technician, was in route to my home. When he arrived, he checked the entire air conditioning system, fixed the problem, and also made some recommendations to avoid future issues. He also did a visual inspection of the heating, water, electric, and tested for possible gas leaks. I feel I received excellent service at a reasonable cost. (See More)

I was lucky enough to win a 40 gallon low boy hot water tank from Jennings at the Akron Home And Flower Show. As impressed as I am with the hot water tank, I am even more impressed by the commitment of Greg, the technician who installed the tank! He spent almost eight hours making sure it was done right despite the complications he ran into. The reputation of Jennings Heating and Cooling has been increased by this experience.
