Dave B. Was very kind and helpful today. He walked me through everything he was doing and showed me the part on my AC he would need to replace in order to get it back up and running. He cleaned off the filters on the outside of the unit and didn't leave until he was sure the temperature dropped appropriately. I would definitely recommend Dave B. Dave was very friendly. He explained what was going on with my AC unit which is 27 years old. He also advised me as to the price I would be charged to get it running again. Dave told me that the AC would probably be good for the next couple of years. He told me that the unit had a small leak and the refrigerant would probably have to be refilled over the next couple of years. I discussed different options with Dave and decided that a new AC unit would be needed. He then told me that if I wanted to replace the furnace also that it would save me money. I felt no pressure from Dave when I decided I would go with both. I didn't check off Good value because I really had no idea what to compare it with. Dave also mentioned to me that when I made my decision about replacement that all charges today would be applied to the new units. (See More)

Our AC/furnace stopped working so I called Jennings for help. They immediately sent out two techs, Dave and Sean, to evaluate the issue. Both were extremely professional, polite, and personable. They took the time to explain the problems with our unit and provided several options ranging from repairs to replacement. My wife and I chose to replace our unit due to the extensive damage. Dave and Sean showed us the different units available and went over the pros and cons of each. The next day, Andy and Steve showed up to install our new unit. Again, top notch professionalism and courtesy. We were told the job could take 2 days, but they worked non-stop to get our new unit installed and running within 8 hours. That means a lot with 2 toddlers at home. I hope these employees receive the recognition they deserve! (See More)

I highly recommend Dave Braun at Jennings Heating & Cooling for any service needs. Dave was prompt, professional and friendly. He very thoroughly inspected every aspect of my eighteen year old air conditioning unit and the air handler. Dave provided information regarding homeowner maintenance steps to keep the unit working as long as possible. In addition, he was observed that an incorrect part, which was failing, had previously been installed in the unit. He took the extra step to contact the manufacturer to confirm that the new replacement part was correct. He also helped me complete a First Energy rebate form to take advantage of a $50 tune up rebate offer. I was very happy with my first experience with Jennings. I woke up, and my furnace would not turn on. I was able to get an appointment that same day. Brian is very knowledgeable, courteous, and personable. It was a “dumb” mistake on my end because the batteries were low in my thermostat! Brian did not make me feel dumb and took the opportunity to offer a furnace cleaning and maintenance service. I like that you get a rundown of everything that was checked during the service. It was very thorough. I plan to use Jennings in the future. Update 5-28-19. Dave B came to do my ac maintenance. He was extremely knowledgeable and explained everything to me in laymen’s terms. Although our unit was working properly when his work was completed, he did recommend we at least think about replacing it BECAUSE IT WAS 68 YEARS OLD! Of course he's correct and I appreciate the thoughtful way he broke the news to me. Dave Brown was very thorough with his work. He explained what caused the failure with our hot water tank and walked us through everything he did to get us back up and running. He also performed a furnace check afterwards and gave us recommendations to consider with that in the future. I appreciated his attention to detail and also his customer service skills. Jennings installed a new HVAC system for me in fall 2016. We recently needed the AC unit relocated to provide access to the foundation. Dave B. relocated the unit and then came back to reinstall it while also providing routine maintenance check of the furnace. He did a great job. (See More)

I had a pretty badly plugged up series of drain pipes in my AC so I called these guys because the previous homeowner had used them. Easy to schedule and they even had someone in the area who was available hours earlier than my appointment time, which was great because I was home just waiting for them anyway. Dave B. was knowledgeable, courteous, and quick to find and fix the problem. He made sure I understood everything I was paying for and even clued me into upcoming EPA changes that will affect my system in the next few years. Pricing seems reasonable to me and Dave had a handy credit card swiper for his iPad so paying couldn't have been easier. Count me as a satisfied customer! (See More)

Jennings heating and cooling is probably the best service provider I've ever called on. Yesterday David B responded to us in less than an hour after we called for service. I should also mention that when you call, the sweetest lady answers the phone. David was so thorough, and had our problem resolved within minutes. Technician was wonderful. Can't say enough about his professional work and work ethics. One thing that is highly bothering me is that we were told that a few years ago that you were having issues with the same part that went bad in our furnace, air conditioning unit, yet you still sold them and one to us. If you knew the part was going bad in this kind of unit how can your customer be charged any service call or anything. I feel it should have been fixed for free without any service call cost. You sold us product knowing that there was issues with product, and a product we have had for I think 2 years. Nothing should be wrong with a 2 year product. (See More)

My A/C conked out on August 1. I was lucky that, due to a cancellation, Jennings was able to come out on the 4th to install a new unit. Two men (one was Dave B) worked hard for most of the day. We lost our air the hottest day of the year last weekend. My husband was sick with 102.5 fever and the house registered 93 inside. Not only did Jennings send someone out immediately, they even gave us a window air conditioner to use with my sick husband! Because we had several medical issues going on and we had taken advantage of Jennings annual maintenance program, they were able to come back within 4 days and installed an air conditioner and a furnace at a very reasonable price (we knew the air was on it's last leg). Our air conditioner went out on a Saturday, the hottest day of the year as my husband lay in bed with cancer and a 102.5 fever and I have an immune problem with IV's at home. Jennings had patched it up several times before and never pressured us to buy a new one. This time was different, the compressor was totally burned out and Todd the service person told us there was a 3 week wait. Sick and hot we agreed to buy a new air conditioner AND a much needed furnace (ours were very old & inefficient). 2 days later Todd called and said due to our health emergencies they would be able to come out in 2 days!!!! Not only did they come out, they took the time to explain every step and any instructions needed. Wow, what a difference this new air conditioner is and thank goodness for a company like Jennings who are not only efficient and clean, but also compassionate. Years ago I worked in a local bank in Akron. I waited on a gentleman that worked for Jennings he was so polite and kind, a great customer. Years later in 2014 it was a cold,cold day in Akron and my house was without heat, I remembered that kind gentleman from Jennings from years ago. I called Jennings and within a day I had a new heating system. It's funny how impressions of good people and good companies makes great choices when you need help. So here I am a few years later 2016 and my house has TOO much heat--- (AC) died. I'm somewhat older now and I couldn't stand the heat, I tried to endure it but it just got to hot. So again, I called upon Jennings for help. Todd came out and discussed AC's and my price range, I agreed on what I wanted and he wrote out the sales agreement and payment arrangements. Todd also had brought out an window air conditioner with him..it was God sent..thank you, thank you. The date of installation was going to be weeks away. Then a week went by and they called and asked if they could come that week to install the new AC, this was greatly appreciated. The day of installation came and Dave & Ryan were here bright & early. Dave explained everything about the new AC and asked if I had questions, to say the least 3 more people from Jennings for me to remember as great people. On time and introduced self. They called ahead on my home phone first, but I missed the call - so they called my cell phone to verify they were coming out. The technician introduced himself and was very friendly. After he had worked on the central air he walked me through the maintenance he performed and then showed me some safety areas of concern in our house. The technician was very knowledgeable and was able to explain things so I could understand. We have used Jennings for years. We love the loyalty programs and would highly recommend them to anyone.
