John worked on my heat pump unit. He was professional and kept me informed of what was going on. He was very knowledgeable regarding my situation and made it his personal business to see that my issue was resolved to my satisfaction. I appreciate the fact that he took personal responsibility to see that I was taken care of. He prided himself on customer service and the technical knowledge to address the repair. This was my first time experience with Cummings Plumbing. Looking to have a mini-split system installed. Dealt with Vicky in the office and John T., the service tech at my house. Vicky was professional, prompt, and answered all my questions to my satisfaction. Could not have asked for a better 1st impression. John actually called me about two hours before scheduled appointment time, said he was free and offered to come by early, showed up within 10 minutes. He asked what my needs were, primary concerns such as price, brand, warranty, etc., explained the installation process, brand of equipment suggested and provided two options and price quotes. I am still waiting for my 6th and final quote, so have not yet made a decision. Quotes were in line with two of my other offers. Even if a no go this time, I would definitely consider for future plumbing/AC needs, 5 stars so far. Very professional. (See More)

The tech spent all of 3 to 5 minutes In the house. Did not inspect the return air grill to see if it could be repaired. Did not measure it and gave me a bid of $500 for a 20x40 grill while the actual measurement of the existing grill is 21.5X41.5. Not very impressed! (See More)

We had a heat pump installed last winter and when we started using it this summer it would not turn off the circulating fan. **** had had a similar previous situation. I had scheduled Cummings to come out and do the necessary Spring maintenance for my AC and also check on a problem I had of a odorl coming thru my ducts into the house.....first time using them. First off, they called and were ahead of schedule and in my area and asked if they could come early....Yeah! How often does that happen! They were very nice and professional and most of all my dog liked them! Anyway, they checked out my unit after we had discussed the odor coming inside from the vents. They were very thorough and showed me the problems inside the unit and discussed what possibly could be causing the smell inside. They were very specific about the condition of my gas pack unit and the likelihood that it would not survive for very long (12 years old). He priced a new unit for me which could be installed the following week and I went ahead and scheduled it. They were thorough with me, discussed all options, the price I felt was reasonable, and I felt comfortable going ahead with a new unit....I was not naïve about the age of mine and the potential that I would need a new unit soon. I had purposely picked Cummings as I felt they were a large company with a good name in the area and I also felt they would have the experience to diagnose the odor problem coming inside my home. Very disappointed. Office staff were friendly and helpful on the phone, no issue there. The problem is the way the company do business. They were not sure what was wrong with my gas fired heating furnace. So rather than trying to help me get some heating (we had no heat and it was pretty cold at night) they said that due to working to a fixed price process, they could not work on my furnace as the part they thought was faulty might not fix the problem. OK I understand that they can’t work for nothing but the most annoying thing was that they were trying to tell me that they were not working on my furnace to avoid any inconvenience to me! Clearly not true. They were protecting their own interests in case the part they fitted didn’t fix the issue and they had to spend more time on a fixed price deal. Them not fixing my furnace was not in my interest at all. Bad practice. Not happy. Don’t recommend. (See More)

Cummings plumbing heating and cooling company doesn’t even deserve a star but you have to mark one to post so I gave them one which they don’t deserve i’ve been screwed ever since day one . When my outside compressor started going out they talked me into buying their cooler unit which was my biggest mistake ! My heater worked just fine but their cooler unit continuously poured water down through the heater unit and blower system and I had to keep calling them to come out to fix it which they never did any thing really , all they ever did was charge me the over $300 show up fee . At first they said the heater unit for the system would only cost me $1000 but I did not need one at that moment until their cooler running water down over everything took out the blower motor the fuse for the blower motor the motherboard and the heater then I had no choice but to buy a heater which was then $2500 Because now I needed it . The same family crew couple that installed the cooler in the first place install the heater and put the screws through the wiring which shorted out the wiring and blew out the new motherboard main fuses and when the guy came to fix that he told me why didn’t they install your new thermostat which you did pay for And they’re not cheap I told him they must’ve kept it or sold it to somebody else for more of a profit . And when they put the cooler back on top of the heater system they beat it in with a mallet and 2 x 4 and then it was crooked and they had to forcefully get it out to pound back in and said it was in there good enough and then left so now I had water still running out of the cooler all over the new system which I had them come out and look and the guy said the whole inside system of the cooler needs to be replaced and he said I was under warranty so he would order one and when it came in they would set up an appointment when they called me . And by chance I noticed in my email that they said I had made an appointment for Monday for them to come and install it which I never did they did and never told me luckily I was home or I would’ve been charged for them showing up with me not being here . When I talk to the lady she said when it says warranty it means coils only and luckily this time it was a different installer and he took out the coil’s and the new ones went right in with no problem so now I have to do is see how it goes to see if water still runs down over the new system that nothing goes out and I seen the guy who had talked us into buying the cooler the first time and he had said they are good colors but practice coolers They are all new systems the first ones they all had to recall because they made them out of the wrong metal which split so they remade them with a different metal which seems to hold but everybody that bought them has called into them continuously to have something fixed because something is always going wrong . That really wasn’t something I wanted to hear but be careful because even the commercial says free estimate they will charge you a show up fee ! So hopefully I don’t need to ever call them again but I don’t know yet and they have nickeled and dimed us to death. It was all a big mistake because I thought they were a trustworthy good company to go with and I never did get my new thermostat though I was promised one because it cost me a few hundred dollars .
