My husband & I chose Conn Mechanical to install our central AC. We went with the ductless system. I'll admit I was nervous about this system, but this company put my nerves to ease. I would recommend CMS to anyone interested in upgrading their current heating system. I went from an ancient and expensive oil heater to a Geothermal system. I called on a Sunday in November 2018 @9:50 for help with my oil furnace that was not lighting. Pipes cold. I left a message with the details. @9:55 I received a call back from Ed Conn. We have used Conn Mechanical since 2011. Ed Conn and his team provided us excellent advice for replacing our Water Furnace Geothermal Unit with a new high efficient Bosch unit for our home in 2011. The response, professionalism, service was outstanding.
Now in 2018 our second Geothermal unit failed at the end of the summer.
Conn's team was extremely helpful and responsive in finding temporary solutions. They then researched the best solution to replaced our failed unit with a new high efficiency Bryant unit. The installation required some unique design in the duct work to adapt to our existing system. Conn's team was extremely professional in the installation.

We were very pleased with this company. Our central air decided to quit working on a Sunday night. We called Conn that night and left a message. We received a call at 8 AM the next day by their very professional office staff. They sent someone almost immediately. They gave us a price to fix it and three quotes to replace it. Our system was 22 years old so we went with replacement. I could not have ask for a better group of people to work with. They were very professional, quick and clean about their work. Every time I asked a question weather it was the office staff or the workers, I always received a happy answer. I would have been a little cranky if I had to work in my hot attic! I cannot say enough good things about this company. I called for an estimate for a new hot water heater when I saw on the SJ Gas site that Conn Mechanical is an authorized installer. The next day the owner of the company came out to give me an estimate. While he was there I had inquired about a ductless air-conditioning system. Ed was happy to measure and to give me an estimate for that as well as discuss financing options.
Eddie P. and crew did a FANTASTIC job with the installation. They encountered unforeseen challenges with the install, but the problems were no match for these guys! The team was incredibly neat and clean. There were no unnecessary holes in the walls and no debris left behind.
After the install was complete the team came in to start the system and then the owner came out and also inspected the system. Ed took the time to show me how to use the remote controls. He also reviewed all of the energy efficiency rebate paperwork with me.
Kait, in the office, was nothing but helpful. She kept in constant contact with me either via email and/or phone. Kait has the most pleasant demeanor of any office worker I have ever met! The permit paperwork was perfect.

I recently contracted with Conn Mechanical for the installation of a mini-split heat pump system, primarily to provide AC in an older house located at the shore. While several other companies provided similarly priced bids, I selected Conn because of the time and effort Ed Conn spent helping me select the appropriate system for my situation and developing a plan for installing it. He was also very accommodating in scheduling the install. I also was attracted by the fact that they are a more full-service organization, providing plumbing as well as HVAC. The actual installation went very well. The two technicians were very professional and worked basically non-stop from the time they arrived in the morning until they left in the afternoon. They faced several challenges, given the age of the house, but were able to overcome them and still complete the work in the predicted time-frame.
