We had a great experience with James identifying a leak. He was very professional, patient, explained the possibilities and solutions very well and in a very respectful manner worked through a solution with us. He did such a great job and left such a great impression on us we will be requesting to work with him again on our repairs. Atomic Plumbing call center personnel is very professional as well, they certainly provided me with high quality service and a very fair quote. On sunday, 2-2-20, I called atomic plumbing because my main sewer line was clogged. James came out and was very courteous and professional. He answered all questions I had about the situation, he unclogged the drain and stayed for about 15 to 20 mins after he was done to make sure the drain was draining. It's now a couple days later and and the drain is still draining properly. I am very pleased with atomic plumbing and the whole process. James Meyerhoff and his assistant David arrived at my home promptly on Monday morning, Oct. 21, 2019, to repair a leaky bathtub faucet. The repair, unfortunately for me, was more involved than I had anticipated however, the repair was definitely needed. Both James and David were courteous, efficient and friendly. An interior wall had to be opened to sweat off the old equipment and install the new. James left no traces that he had been inside my home, he was very clean with his work. Once again it was Atomic Plumbing to the rescue. This company is absolutely the best plumbing company in the whole area. This time I had James M and Ryan S complete a very complicated, long re-piping/re-routing of my gas line to the hot water heater and furnace. The gas company had found a leak and had to “red tag”/cut off my gas until the leak was repaired. I called Atomic and as always I received the very best service. Tiffany answered the phone and was so personable, warm, and reassuring. She quickly scheduled the repair. James M and Ryan S arrived on time and got to work. James was lead tech and fully explained the job and then he and his apprentice got to work. Both James and Ryan worked diligently and hard all day to complete the work. To cut to the chase, the work was approved by the city inspector and the gas company turned my gas back on. I was so relieved that what I thought might be a nightmare was handled so professsionally and promptly. Oh yes, the gas company tech actually complimented the work done by James M and Ryan S. I am so grateful to both of them for their hard work, their obvious skill, and their friendly, professional manner. Way to go Atomic! You have my business for life! (See More)

James and Aron came to my condo to unclog the kitchen sink, which took a bit of doing (due to my inappropriate use of the disposal - egg shells - a big no). The line had to be snaked twice. Not a pretty task. Both James and Aron were professional in their manner, carefully explaining everything they needed to do, what the cost would be, and advice for future use. An additional job was added as I needed to replace the kitchen faucet. They made arrangements to get the proper faucet replacement and that job was done all in the same day (saving me a return trip fee). These pros were polite, competent, and knew how to explain every aspect of the job in language a novice could understand. I have another unrelated job that I will be requesting Atomic and the James/Aron team to handle. I highly recommend this company! They shoot straight and get the job done in a timely, cost-efficient manner. Great customer service all around! Thank you. (See More)

We unfortunately had a bad experience with our general contractor and his plumber and needed immediate assistance. I called Atomic and they immediately got me connected with a scheduler, then had James and Paul out to our house extremely fast! James and Paul were friendly, knowledgeable, professional, and efficient. They advised us based on their expertise and helped us pick out a new toilet and install it correctly. Top notch service -- rapid response too! Had a leaky pipe to a washing machine. Called Atomic Plumbing at 8 AM -- they arrived at my house on time and less than 2 hours after my initial call to them. James & Paul were my technicians. Professional, polite, efficient and skilled, they rapidly replaced dated water valves and -- I must say, they did a great job. The repairs not only are functional, but they look great, too! I especially was impressed with the method of pricing. They assess your issue, then provide a flat-fee repair price before any work is done. Their prices are reasonable with no surprises. Our leak was an interesting issue because it did not happen all the time- making it difficult to diagnose. James was very friendly and professional. We needed to replace our old water heater. I was pleased that Atomic was able to get someone out so quickly to assess our water heater. I have used Atomic Plumbing a few times, and they have provided excellent service each time. Yesterday I called to have a sewage leak in my crawl space fixed. The office offered to try to fit me in the same day I called but as I had plans to be out, they offered to give me an early morning appointment instead. I was given a courtesy call 30 min prior to the arrival of 2 technicians. They were professional and friendly and assessed the problem. They explained the problem and their solution and proposed a fair estimate. The repair was completed in less time than they estimated. I would highly recommend this company to anyone needing plumbing repair. (See More)

I was very pleased with the service, though the job ended up being more complicated and costly than envisioned--due largely to flawed toilet installation by the builder. The contractors gave a couple options to choose from, with pros and cons. I opted for the more expensive, but better long-term option...I think and hope. I'll recommend again. (See More)

My hosebib connected to my clothes washer was leaking. James ** replaced the hose bib and stopped the leaking. A week later, there is still no evidence of a leak. James ** spent a lot of time making recommendations and explaining how things work as well as how to shut off the main water valve. Atomic is such a terrific company. Outstanding, friendly, reasonably priced, and professional work! Atomic Plumbing provided excellent service from the timely response, to my call to updates prior to their arrival time, to the actual work conducted on site. They provided me with options and didn't try and strong arm us into service we didn't need. They stayed with us until we could verify the service was complete (and the toilet didn't back up again) and ensured we had peace of mind about the work that was done before they left. I asked for additional service to be completed on the upstairs bathroom shower and the technician, James M., provided an initial assessment for free and gave me options. Once I determined it was going to need his expertise, he quickly and efficiently got to work and fixed that problem too. They were military friendly and provided me a 10% discount which for a family of five on a single income, every little bit helps! They took us through all of our options with no sales pressure and made us feel like we were part of their family ! I wanted to say how pleased I was with Atomic Plumbing and how they were able to help me out in a pinch. I had a leak in my rental property. I live in Richmond and came down to see what was going on...I called Atomic and shared what I had going on and they had someone to me in about an hour. I was sent James M who came out to service my issue. James was fantastic and explained everything through the process. He was very considerate when he entered the property by wearing the booties. As a local business owner, I appreciate great customer service! I called around 8am and the receptionist was very pleasant. By 1230pm, the technicians arrived. (I even received a call around 1045am from the office letting me know that all of their technicians were still on other jobs, but I would be getting a call back soon.) I contacted Atomic Plumbing on October 27, 2016 to request technical assistance in freeing up a stopped up drain in my kitchen sink. On October 28 James ********* arrived and went right to work. He first snaked the kitchen drain from the vent on my roof with no luck. he then snaked the drain pipes under the sinks and this was successful in clearing the stopped up,drain. His work was very professional and he made sure that he cleaned up the work area prior to leaving. If I have occasion to need plumbing services in the future I will request the services of James ********* from Atomic Plumbing. (See More)

The team seemed a little reticent at first, perhaps wondering whether our situation really needed their services. However, once we determined that the situation called for a new sump pump and the creation of an outlet to the exterior of the house, they went into action, collecting the necessary materials and prosecuting the job until it was completed. This is my 2nd review for Atomic Plumbing! I had the misfortune of having a 2nd unrelated water leak in my home. When it was discovered I knew there was no alternative to having Atomic assist with resolving it! I called Tiffany and she scheduled James M. and Paul to respond. These two gents had completed the phenomenal work on my previous leak and I was happy to have them on the job again! I received the same awesome service and was extended the same outstanding courtesies I was familiar with from my first experience with Atomic! With the top notch involvement of Mylissa, Tiffany, Beverly, Scott, Paul, and James I could not fully express the relief, gratitude, and overall satisfaction that my wife and I have had the pleasure of being greeted with from Atomic Plumbing! I had the misfortune of having a plumbing leak in my home. I checked reviews and asked around and everywhere I looked I was referred to Atomic Plumbing. I called and scheduled a consult to get a diagnostic and estimate. James M was dispatched and assessed what would need to be done to fix the problem. He provided a detailed description of how the issue would be addressed, answered each of my questions thoroughly and explained them until I could understand the procedures, and also gave me a quote which itemized each action (as I requested). When I scheduled the work to be done I was given a call to expect the arrival of James and Paul. After they got to the house they got right to work exactly as was planned during the diagnosis. They worked skillfully and diligently and took care with the surrounding unaffected areas. All was done neatly and proper and they cleaned up when finished. Afterwards they asked if I had any questions and took the time to answer each one again. They were genuinely concerned with my satisfaction and wanted to ensure I was happy with the results. The experience and professionalism exhibited by James and Paul was unlike any I had witnessed before when receiving plumbing service. Customer services with Atomic Plumbing is unmatched! Excellent customer service for a third time. The company works like a happy family and the service shows in how they treat their customers. I am retired and I wish I worked for a fine company like this. I had James M. replace a water heater for me and for the first time in years, my disabled mother was able to take a nice real HOT bath like the kind she used to take in the hot springs of Japan. James M was superb in installing the heater and after he was finished he autographed the heater like what an artist does when finishing a fine painting. In closing I can only say one word for James M and this fine company.....SUPERB....all around....from the fine technicians to Tiffany the dispatcher who I accidently woke up at 0224 am. So my spicket out back became stripped and had a pretty bad leak. Atomic had a 24hr on call service line and I was able to schedule an appointment for the next day. When I got off work earlier than expected they sent someone out early to take care of the problem. James arrived and was super polite, professional and very informative of what he was doing and why. Because of the way my house is set up he had to rig an extra fitting on my pipes and didn't stop working til he was satisfied the job was done correctly. I've had no issues with my spicket since he installed a new one and zero leaks where he cut and replaced piping. He was honest and upfront about the whole process and I am tremendously satisfied with his work and should another problem come up I can't fix myself I know who I'll be calling. (See More)

It was extremely hot today; mid-July in coastal Virginia can be oppressive. Over 100 degrees! Shockingly, the thing that broke in our home was not the HVAC system but it was the hot water heater! Go figure.....?? Anyway, we have had very good experience with Atomic Plumbing on several occasions in the past and so we called them. BTW, lots of folks are coming to our house to go to the beach this weekend to have a reunion and have a fun get-together and we had no hot water! Our new home that we bought two months ago would be housing for five couples for several days! Anyway, James and Atomic Plumbing came to the rescue. I called them about the "no hot water" problem and folks coming to town to stay for a few days at about 2:00pm on a Friday. By 3:15pm that same day James was there. He did a thorough inspection and assessment, determined the heat in the attic caused the pilot light on our hot water heater to go out, showed me how to keep the pilot light on and then submitted a very low invoice to me. Needless to say, I asked James to provide me a quote for the cost of replacing a traditional hot water heater and locate it in the garage (versus the attic....) and a tank-less hot water heater. We'll keep calling Atomic Plumbing until they mess it up. And as long as they have people like James on board, I bet they won't mess it up very often! What do you think? (See More)

I have used Atomic Plumbing for years. Needless to say, when my garbage disposal stopped working, I called Atomic Plumbing. I spoke to Tiffany who was very professional and courteous. I explained that I also had a problem with my toilet. She sent James M. He was on time. He came in and looked at both of the problems. He gave me 3 options for the garbage disposal and the 3 options for the toilet. He was very patience and explained all options. He made sure that I was satisfy with both jobs. This Saturday morning I called Atomic to see if a plumber could come out and repair my toilet which had two issues. Tiffany was very kind and she stated that I'd get a call soon and that someone would come out today per my request. A half hour later I received a call stating that someone was on his way. James ** was very patient in explaining to me in-depth what my possible issues were with the toilet. He offered several possible solutions. After ascertaining what the issues were he explained what he could do, and asked me what I preferred to do. He treated my wallet and plumbing problems as though they were his own, which I appreciate. James M. was a good technician. He took care of the problem I created. The problem is Atomic charged me $360.00 (minus 10% for military) to repair a small puncture in a copper pipe that only required two joints and a six inch piece of copper pipe. The whole repair took less than an hour. Plus they wanted an extra $125 just to open a hole in the wall, that I had already cut, an extra couple of inches. As I said James did a good job and I know that having any trade do work for you is expensive but this is ridiculous. I would advise shopping around before having Atomic do any work for you. Have used Atomic Plumbing for multiple jobs. We just had a complete water heater failure. They were out first thing to give me options. Had the cold water back on line within the hour. Decided to replace with a "on demand" tankless system. Very professional install. Their recommended option just delivered hot water to 3 simultaneous showers without even noticing any drop off in hot water delivery. Very pleased with both their work and recommended equipment. The Technician did a very good work. The price charged was outrageous. For 2 and 1/2 hour work to repair a leak, the charge was $577.23. With good access to the leaky connection, a few inches of copper pipe delivered on site, such a job should have never be over $350.00. I am very happy with how quickly & efficiently they coordinated a time with me and were able to get someone to my home-same day - to help with our problem. Jim M. was our plumber - and he was polite, knowledgeable, and friendly. He listened carefully to my concerns and gave me good & honest suggestions and solutions as to what would help. This is the second time I have used Atomic. I had issues both times with the sewer drain being clogged. The first time it was from the outside clean out into the house, this time it was from the outside cleanout to the curb. I was able to figure the problem out from the stuff the guy from the first visit told me. This happened on a Sunday so I expected to wait forever to get it fixed. I called them and they had dispatch call me back about 15 minutes later. I only had to wait about 1.5 - 2 hours for the tech to get here. Jumped right in and with in 20 minutes he discovered I had roots down near the street. He got the line cleaned out and explained my options, left me a quote for the fix. He was very courteous and knowledgeable. We will definitely be calling Atomic to get the permanent fix (See More)

Great service. Nice people to talk to and they keep you informed. Workman were clean, spoke English and were very courteous. The work was performed when promised and a price given before the work was done. Their price may be a little high BUT there were no “oh I forgot to include costs”. As a matter of fact one item not included in the price was deemed necessary and there was NO charge for it. I'll try to make this quick. I originally called Roto-Rooter 3 days ago to fix a simple dripping shower head. Long story short, they kept pushing back my appointment that I had requested online and confirmed on the phone several times. Two days later, I called Atomic and was greeted by a friendly, professional voice and was told someone would be at my home in the morning between 8-12. At 7:52 I got a call stating that James is on his way. James who was very courteous and knowledgeable, fixed my shower, gave great info and even had booties that he put on every time he went out into the rain and back. Wow! Knowledgable and listened to all of my concerns with on ongoing drainage issue in my laundry room. He gave me information on how my drain worked and what was happening and how he could fix it. I was impressed with his pace of work. I didn't feel as though he rushed through the work, but he didn't take too long to complete his outstanding work either. He also double checked his work with me present in the room to make sure that I was happy with everything. He also made sure he cleaned up everything.
