Rob communicated job details of the work. He did an excellent job and went above and beyond the cleaning he was hired to do. I also opted for a new dryer vent cover for the exterior of the house and it looks great! The drying time for my clothes has significantly decreased since he has provided service. We had Rob S. from Amistee come clean our dryer vents. He was promptly there are the beginning of the time window and explained everything that had to be done and how long it would take. When he showed me the pictures at the end I was appalled to see how much had accumulated in our dryer vent! The process of scheduling was great and there wasn’t a very long wait, about 3-4 weeks. I will definitely use Amistee again next time we need the dryer vent cleaned out as well as other services we may need in the future! (See More)

I contacted Amistee to clean my dryer vent, which was long overdue for a cleaning. The job ended up taking longer than expected due to years’ worth of lint and pet hair buildup. Rob was very professional and wasn’t satisfied until the vent was thoroughly and properly cleaned. The proof was in the “before and after” photos he showed me. I had a heating and cooling company come out and they said everything was fine with my cold air return that was blowing cold in the winter and heat in the summer. Rob S. came to our house to clean the dryer vent, arrived promptly, and did a professional job of listening to our issues with the dryer vent warning light, the cleaning steps we'd tried, and then examining our vent pipe. He did a very thorough job of cleaning out the pipe from both the outside and inside, checked our pipes were in code and taped the joints properly, and tested the dryer airflow afterwards. I was very happy with my service from start to finish. When I called for pricing, the person I spoke to was very nice. They were able to get me an appointment within a couple days, which was a pleasant surprise. I was given a window of time to expect the service person. Highly recommend this company and technician Rob Sutton. I had been told I might need a complete dryer vent re-route by our home inspector when we moved in months ago, but Rob was honest that it wasn't bad and just needed a good cleaning. It's a sign that this is an honest company when they let you know that a cheaper option exists to solve the original problem you called about.
Rob cleaned the dryer vent and also took the time to seal the vent with more tape to make sure airflow wasn't being lost (the sealing was done complimentary). Thanks, Amistee and Rob. (See More)

Amistee Air Duct Cleaning and Insulation is a top-notch company. I just had Rob and Nick out here to clean my ducts. I am so impressed. Not only were they incredibly professional, they did an outstanding job. They were knowledgable and explained the procedure to me as they went along. The before and after pictures are incredible. It was amazing to see the difference and I am so glad I had this done. I've had my ducts cleaned before, but it was nothing like this process. My house smells incredibly clean. We had our ducts sanitized and it was well worth the extra money. We also had our dryer vent cleaned. They wore masks the entire time they were in our home. Super polite and excellent service. I highly recommend them to do your job. I intend to have duct sealing done on our home in a few months. I highly recommend this company and team. "The Robs" came to our home on Saturday, January 3. They did a FANTASTIC job for us. They were courteous, explained EVERYTHING in detail, cut off old register vents that has been painted over for years WITHOUT marring the walls or chipping the paint, the even took the old vent covers away when I informed them we have new ones to put on. It was a cold day and they put in a 'screen' to block out as much of the cold air as possible. We had the vents cleaned once by another company when we first bought the house about 3 years ago. Last year we replaced three bathrooms in the house taking each one to the studs so there was probably a build up of dust and debris from that project. Amistee did a much more thorough job than the last company. They spent approximately three hours at the house going from the basement, to the first floor, and then up to the second floor. I could hear the debris coming up the tube from the basement. One of the Robs also helped my son move his king sized bed to get to the vent in his room. We also contracted with them to clean the furnace. Here too they did an awesome job. At one point a question came up about the furnace and the other Rob reached out to his boss and there were able to resolve the issue discovering that we had a blockage in one of the drainage tubes. All in all were are VERY satisfied with the work they did. It was worth every penny. I would definitely recommend them. (See More)

Even in the pouring rain they explained exactly what and how they were going to do the cleaning. I even had a chance to see first hand how their equipment worked. The did a thorough cleaning of my duct work and they picked up after themselves and left the house cleaner than when they arrived. We have been doing some remodeling and it was refreshing to have a tradesmen come into the house and actually clean up after themselves. We hadn't used our furnace yet during this season because of all the construction and we wanted to wait until after the cleaning to fire it up (it was new this July). We couldn't get the furnace to fire up and Rob did some quick diagnostic work to see if he could figure it out which was greatly appreciated. We recently bought a house that had undergone months of construction. Rob at AMISTEE came out to clean the ducts and furnace of construction dust, clean the dryer vents and add a germicide. My experience started with seeing Amistee trucks all over the Metro Detroit area, and it wasn't until I was in need of having my ducts cleaned that I thought of Amistee. Surely they must do good work to be so busy, so I decided to look at reviews for the company. Naturally I started with Yelp, and to my surprise they have 5 out of 5 stars with seventy-two reviews (soon to be seventy-three). I immediately called Amistee to get my house on the schedule.
I talked to Donna, who was great to talk to over the phone. Donna mentioned that there is a quick response time (don't quote me, but I believe she said they offer same day service). I scheduled my cleaning for the next day after talking to them, and was given a quote over the phone. The quote after the work was completed was very accurate, and not to mention reasonable.
Rob and Avery arrived at my house and were highly professional. They surveyed the work to be done, and made me aware of the asbestos on some joints of the ductwork. Rob explained the procedure for cleaning around the area, and that they can only do so much as to not agitate the area, thus making asbestos airborne. Throughout the cleaning, Rob supplied me with before and after photos which they also email copies of. There was one cold air return that was blocked by framing, and was made aware of the situation. The two of them seemed to have a good system of team work, because it was a smooth, efficient, and non obtrusive job. They were very courteous, when they came in with shoe covers. I suggested that the shoe covers were not necessary, because for one, they're a pain in the butt to put on and off, and also because our house keeper would be coming the next day. They politely declined my offer, and chose to wear the shoe covers.
Another service they performed was cleaning of my dryer vent. Since dying or losing my dogs in a house fire is a major scare for me, it was a one stop shop for them to do it. Very convenient. My dryer vents below my deck which is 2-3 ft above the ground. It's muddy under there, and on top of that, it was snowing and just nasty out. I offered to skip that task so they could get home before the roads got to bad. With out skipping a beat, Rob valiantly ascended into the caverns of my dogs summertime hang, and five minutes later my dryer vent was dust free.
I am very pleased with the cleanliness, professionalism, price, and likability of Amistee. I am a now a loyal customer who will continue to pass along their number.

Rob and Ryan D. did an excellent job cleaning, sanitizing and deodorizing my ducts. My problem stemmed from a broken sanitary pipe that left sewage in the ducts. Although they eliminated most of the problem, there is still an odor, but they suggested a possible solution that I am taking to my contractor. They did check all the ducts and found the problem in only the one we suspected. They were professional, friendly, knowledgeable, and thorough. After moving to a new house noticed cold air returns were filthy so called Amistee, super easy booking process, Rob and Ian were great, right on time, very professional, kept things very clean and covered all the carpets since they were just installed. I was referred to Amistee by two people, I am very happy I called. We just finished doing construction in our home and I could still smell the dust and debris. They just left and I swear the house seems much more fresh and clean.The guys who did the work were very nice and clean. They covered their shoes and laid down a drop cloth. Started looking into air cleaning as my finacee and I have horrid allergies. My dad gave me a heads up to find a company that takes before and after photos. After some searching on google, I came across Amistee. Hands down they had the best site explaining what they would do, as well as the process to do it (most companies repeated that they would clean the ducts). And I think they were the only one that took before and after pics. Impressed, I called and talked to a customer service rep. I dont remember her name, but she was polite, and got a bit more into the process, including time to do it and costs.
The appt was scheduled for between 8-9am the following week. I received a reminder the day before, as well as the next morning 30min before arrival (Comcast, you should be taking notes). Jim and Tommy were there on time. Both were very courteous, respectful and professional. They explained what they were going to do, and were quite efficient. The whole process took about 2 hours. I swear I can tell a difference in the air in the house. Definitely plan on doing this again in the recommended 3-5 years.

They did the best job! They were honest with me on what they could do for us due to the type of furnace we had. They said they could do about 30% out of 100% on getting all the debri out of the vents. Our son has currently a bad case of stridor plus 2/3 of one lung removed at birth and the doctors said doing the vents would help with the stridor. The house was built in 52 and had never been done before. My husband and I decided that 30% was better then not getting anything done. When I explained the situation to woman on the phone,I was crying and she was so kind. She was able to schedule an appointment the very next day. The manager also contacted me for photos and explained the percentage. He was so honest and thats why we decided to go with them. The next morning 2 of the nicest guys came to my home. Polite and receptful of my home and my feelings. They knew about my baby and said they were going to do their very best to go above 30%. I watched them through out the process. Rob came up to me about half through and said that he really felt they would be able to get to 80%. That made me very emotional because I knew I could feel comfortable bringing my son home. They were able to do 80% and the air feels so clean in my home. They cleaned up after themselves and when they left you would not know they had been there. I would highly recommend them! They explained why access holes were necessary and how they cleaned both the inlet and outlet air systems. I was shown the how duct whips would get into all the crevices and loosen the accumulations of dust and dirt. They also returned a large tape measure that I didn't know I had dropped in the duct, (probably when I was laying carpet) years ago. I'm 73 years old and have dealt with many contractors in those years, but have never been treated so well and been so satisfied with the complete job. My decision to contact Amistee specificifically was based on the reviews posted on Yelp. Having said that, all of the positive comments are true. I mostly agree with the professional response from the moment of contract to service received.
My appointment was scheduled on a Saturday morning between 8am-9am (our only day to sleep in). I have two young children and a puppy, plenty of room for a day to go wrong. These guys are so professional I was able to go about my business with minimal interruption. Rob and Jackie got started right away, but still took the time to explain what needed to be done and the how. My husband had plans and I had plans, neither of us were late or felt flustered by having people working in our home. We never wondered what they were doing nor did we have concerns about our house. Everything that was explained prior to doing it, was done. No surprises during or after.
I recommend Amistee because I really believe they did a great job. I haven't had the chance to see the before and after pictures, but the results are obvious to us. Almost every night my kids and I would either cough throughout the night or wake up congested. I don't know if our allergy issues are gone, but I do know that we are all sleeping and breathing better.

The air returns are made of wood, so they posed a unique challenge. Rob spent extra care/time with my ancient furnace and Jackie was incredibly careful with the painted register and vent covers. i.e., A local favorite, or highly recommended because they're professional, courteous, and the service they provide is outstanding. I only give it four stars because it cost $65 to have my dryer duct cleaning. The duct was about 3 feet long and practically nothing came out of it. I could've done it myself by reaching in with my arm. Otherwise it was an excellent experience and I would highly recommend them to anybody (See More)

Very Professional, When I was searching for a duct cleaning company. I read the reviews and wondered. But when amistee came in they we very nice and professional. we had purchased a foreclosure and the ducts where never cleaned house built in 1967 and they had 4 dogs. The technicians (Darren and Rob) showed up a few minutes early and took time to give me a run through of the process before they began and answered questions when they were done. They were respectful of my house; they wore booties over their work boots and used a drop cloth on the stairs leading to my basement. I would not hesitate to use Amistee again! (See More)

I can't tell you how refreshing it is to deal with a company that listens to and acts on your request without having to repeat or explain it to every person you talk to. Devoinn and Rob were consummate professionals. They greeted me cheerfully, always wore foot protectors inside the house, explained each aspect of the job, and offered options without pressuring me. They worked extremely hard to complete the job. My house is on a crawl space. It s dusty, tight, and large. They moved throughout the space to attach the vacuum and other hoses, plugged all the holes, and I could hear them working through every duct in the house. We called Amistee on a Friday morning and requested same day Air Duct and Dryer Vent cleaning and sure enough, Dan & Rob were here within 45 minutes, after making room in their busy day for us. Amistee was excellent. Rob, the technician, and his assistant did a very thorough job, were always very polite and explained everything. After they left my furnace wouldn t go on. I called and they came right back and fixed the problem very quickly. Evidently one of the whip wires they use inadvertently loosened a wire. We recently had our basement remodeled and the amount of dry wall dust, combined with pet hair, was out of control. I contacted Amistee and they were able to schedule me within the next week. Rob and Rick were great, and arrived promptly at the scheduled time. They were very friendly and professional. They gave me a very accurate estimate on when the job would be completed, and thoroughly explained the procedure. They checked in with me regularly throughout the process to let me know how things were going and how much longer they would be. They were extremely efficient. I would definitely recommend Amistee.
