If you own a home I highly recommend using amistee air duct cleaning. Amazing service and work that is done the right way with before and after pics. Glenn, and Steve were very knowledgeable and walked me through the process from start to finish. Laid blankets down , wore shoe covers in home. Just amazing. Jim and Kyle did an outstanding job doing or vents. They have never been done before (12 years) so there was a lot of dust. They were very professional and explained everything in detail. We recently moved into a condo and are having our laundry room remodeled. We discovered that the dryer vent was pretty much loaded with lint and more than likely had never been cleaned. Our builder recommended Amistee and we are so glad he did. Our service technician Jim showed up at the appointed time and went right to work. He took photos before cleaning the dryer vent to show us how clogged it was and then started the actual cleaning. He was very professional in his job and readily answered any questions we had. I had been blaming the long drying time on the very old dryer when it was because the vent was clogged! Jim told me if we had not gotten the vent cleaned, I would have had similar problems with my new dryer. He also said that a clogged dryer vent can be a fire hazard. I have had many 'companies' perform work in my home thru the years, the Amistee team by far was the best. They were courteous, considerate of our house by using covers and cushions between their equipment and furniture, and most of all they did an excellent job. I never gave much credence to 'photoing' the ductwork interior until I compared the before and after photos, what a great idea! When researching this company, I was suspicious of the multiple 5-star ratings, but I now understand they deserve those ratings. (See More)

Jim and his partner Rick were both very friendly and courteous. I've only been in my home for two months and I live alone so I had some questions regarding the furnace and humidifier, which they patiently answered. I was very pleased with Amistee. As a realtor, my clients depend on me to bring them the best resources. Amistee was prompt, thorough, and very professional across the board; from the person who answered the phone to the practitioner running the job. They cleaned one house for one client, then made room in their schedule to inspect a new construction home where they found the ducts full of drywall dust - a week before my clients would have been moving in with their new furniture. We purchased our home 9 years ago and have never had the air ducts cleaned. I decided to call and schedule an appointment. Jim and Jeff were polite and professional during the entire process. Jim showed me before and after pictures so I could see how much dirt was inside my vents. It was terrible! They also arrived early but a scheduler called to confirm that it was ok with me that they were ahead of schedule - of course! It's nearly impossible to get a service company to arrive on time, let alone EARLY! I appreciate the fact that this is something that only has to be done every 3-5 years so the small investment to keep your air clean was well worth it! Thanks! (See More)

I had Amistee out to my house today and had a fantastic experience. Jim and Matt were both very friendly and professional. They arrived right on time, explained everything they were doing, and I enjoyed seeing the before and after photos they took! In addition, they took great care to keep my house clean wearing booties, using tarps, and padding for the vacuum lines against the walls. Along the way, they provided me with tips and advice to keep the air ducts clean in the future. What was most impressive was they cleaned the dryer vents, and decided since they weren't in that bad of shape and the line was short, they weren't going to charge me for it! Arrived right on time that they said they would. Introduced themselves and asked if we had any questions before they started. They were respectful to our home, wearing shoe covers , laid down drop cloths to protect our hardwood floors and carpeting. They were quick, efficient and thorough. Started looking into air cleaning as my finacee and I have horrid allergies. My dad gave me a heads up to find a company that takes before and after photos. After some searching on google, I came across Amistee. Hands down they had the best site explaining what they would do, as well as the process to do it (most companies repeated that they would clean the ducts). And I think they were the only one that took before and after pics. Impressed, I called and talked to a customer service rep. I dont remember her name, but she was polite, and got a bit more into the process, including time to do it and costs. The appt was scheduled for between 8-9am the following week. I received a reminder the day before, as well as the next morning 30min before arrival (Comcast, you should be taking notes). Jim and Tommy were there on time. Both were very courteous, respectful and professional. They explained what they were going to do, and were quite efficient. The whole process took about 2 hours. I swear I can tell a difference in the air in the house. Definitely plan on doing this again in the recommended 3-5 years. Highly recommended. Thank you guys! (See More)

It's not very often that a company exceeds your expectations but Amistee has done it! I was impressed with the web site and even more impressed when they showed up for the appointment a little early, hopped out of the truck and greeted me with a friendly greeting and a professional appearance. They did an excellent job and were very conscience of cleaning up behind themselves. The only thing that could have made me a little more impressed was if they would have brought me lunch! I had my ducts cleaned a few weeks ago and am very happy with the service and the results HOWEVER there are two things I am disappointed in. First, I was doing laundry while the furnace was running and noticed there was a lot of air blowing out at the base. It turns out that the guys had not reattached the furnace to the main duct; I found all the screws lying on the hot water heater. Needless to say, I was very upset that I had been wasting heat and money! My other issue is that they cashed my check over 3 weeks after the service. If they prefer not to take checks, they should say so. $400 is a lot of money to sit on. I would recommend this company again but I would also advise to check out the area before and after they are through to make sure nothing is missed... and don't write them a check! (See More)

I just moved to MI and have a lot of house projects on my list. When I called Amistee Air Duct Cleaning I spoke with Donna. I explained that I was getting other quotes for the job. Donna was very professional when she explained the cleaning process and what to look for in other companies. I really appreciated that information. Jim and Melvin were fantastic. They actually called to arrive earlier than my scheduled time. They were so thorough. The job took about 31/2 hours. My dryer vent, which runs the length of the basement was a disaster. Jim broke it down and made sure it was cleaned through out. Jim and Melvin were very professional, explained everything to me, the before and after photos are just incredible. I spoke with Laura on the phone she was very knowledgeable explaining the services they could provide us and an estimate. From there we went forward to schedule an appointment for the next day! That was wonderful. The next day the technicians arrived within the 3 hour time window and Amistee even called to inform us 30 mins prior to there arrival. Jake and Jim were very courteous and professional. They wore shoe covers when walking in the house, knew exactly what to do, explained the process, went to work, showed us pictures of the vents before and after cleaning, discussed with us the recommended frequency of vent cleaning for the future... The men, Jim and Joe, that came to clean the air ducts were friendly, knowledgeable and considerate of our home. We just moved into a new build and we're told by many people not to have this service done for multiple reasons but we could see all the dry wall dust when lifting the vents. I did a lot of research before choosing an air duct cleaning company and almost all other companies charged by the number of vents and the quote only included up to a certain amount with extra fees for any additional vents or returns. Amistee charged exclusively by the square footage of my home, no hidden fees. What they quoted me on the phone was exactly what I paid on the day of my cleaning. They did clean per vent, they cleaned EVERYTHING! Every return, heat vent, trunk line, all of the ducts, took before and after pictures. When Jim and his partner showed up they made sure to have on shoe covers and put down sheets to protect my floors and did a thorough run through with me of everything they were going to do and explained the entire process. It is very obvious that their priority is to make sure their customers get an exceptional cleaning and have a healthier home than just making a buck. I CAN NOT believe how much dirt and dust I was breathing in. My furnace runs so much better already. I also received a personal phone call from their staff a few days later to make sure I was satisfied with their service, it was so refreshing! Jim and Rick from Amistee Air Duct Cleaning arrived on time, introduced themselves, put booties over their shoes and Jim explained the work that would be done in detail. Jim and Rick were very a professional team. I had already removed my basement ceiling tiles under the duct areas to make it a little easier for the workers and to speed the cleaning process. The entire cleaning took just under an hour and a half. However, after they left, we noticed heavy dust covering everything in the master bedroom and light dust throughout most of the house. The basement floor (our rec room) also contained dirt under the main duct trunk line, nothing was swept. Needless to say we had to do some major cleanup after they left. (See More)

I have been using Amistee for a few years, now and love love love them. I live in a duplex type condo and have a unique dryer vent set up that requires some special maneuvering to clean thoroughly. I have the vent cleaned yearly and the people from Amistee are always courteous and willing to meet my special needs. Not only are they efficient, but they anticipate my needs without my having to remind them each time. The guys perform detailed work and I feel confident when they are done. Both technicians were professional, extremely educated on the subject and were very courteous! I had called several different air duct cleaning places, and Amistee had the best price for the services they provided. Our ducts were so dirty, Jim and Melvin went above and beyond when cleaning the ducts by taking their time and making sure the job was done properly. Jim went through everything they did once they had completed the project as well, which was nice to know. The before and after pictures were great to see too!! I attempted to give a five-star review on Yelp through reviewbuzz and just as I was ready to click next to send the review the page shut down and erased what I wrote. Sufficed it say, I’m extremely pleased and impressed with Jim and Jake for their professionalism and commitment to fixing our problem, which was years in the making. Our serpentine vent line was filled with lint, totally block at some point that evaded virtually all efforts at clearing, except for their perseverance that finally fixed the problem. This was probably the worst dryer vent cleaning job any of them experienced and for that, we can only say THANK YOU for their tireless efforts and positive attitude. Not once did they get frustrated or neglect our property. From the moment they walked in the door they respected our home, and I can only say that we’ll be glad to recommend Amistee to family and friends who need duct cleaning. Great communication, professional service, attention to detail all the way from first contact with the office to the techs on site. I appreciate the thoroughness and care provided to my home (foot booties, pads around corners, etc). I liked that techs were prepared to perform whatever service was needed and even had a new furnace filter available on site. I do suggest thinking of something to cover the door or window the vac tube goes out of as it was 37 degrees out and we had to have our kitchen window open for 3 hours. (See More)

The service tech tech spent the first fifteen minutes going through, in detail, what he was going to and answered all of my questions. The finished product was excellent. I can't believe the difference in the air quality in the house after the duct cleaning. My wife doesn't wake up with any alergic symptoms. Amistee did a great job. They were professional, they explained the entire process and even showed pictures when they were finished cleaning the ducts. There was no mess to clean up after the service was complete. My son has allergies and we had the ducts cleaned when we noticed he was having trouble with sneezing and congestion. After the ducts were cleaned he had NO issues with his allergies. I did not price shop Amistee versus other air duct cleaners. They were given to me as a recommendation and I hired them on the spot. I contacted Amistee last week after getting a recommendation from our heating & cooling company. I also read thru the many postive reviews on Angies List. The person who answered the phone, I apologize, I forgot her name, was very kind and answered all of my questions. She explanined the process, gave me a quote & set-up an appointment. The appointment was set for 4 days later which I thought was a quick turn around. I received a phone call about 20 minutes prior to the scheduled service time letting me know the techs would be here on time. When they arrived, both Jim and Melvin were kind, courteous, & professional. They explained what they were going to do, approximately how long it would take, etc. They asked if I had any questions, which I did and they answered those easily. As part of my appointment I had requested a dryer vent cleaning as well, however, after going in there with their camera it really wasn't necessary. (We had a new dryer installed about a year ago) He said it was up to me but figured we could do it next time, saving me $65. I was truly appreciatative of this recommendation. Not all companies would have done the same. After the service was complete, Jim reviewed everything that they had done, showed me pictures of the before & after, explained the plugs they used and again made sure my questions were answered. They left everything as it was, everything clean & now fresh. From start to finish a great experience...I was completely satisified and would not hesitate to use them again. A safe bet! I have been using Amistee to clean my dryer vent for a few years now and have nothing but good things to say. Not only is their work top-notch but their service providers are awesome. I just moved into my first home a couple months ago (short sale). The previous owner had pets. Jim came out and cleaned everything (vents, heater, a/c ducts). They ended up finding what was believed to be animal waste in a couple of the ducts. They ended up using a deodorizer which took care of any bacteria, dust, etc (I'm fairly sure the 100 dollar special would not have covered this). When I got home there was no mess, I highly recommend this service for anyone who has never had it done before. Total cost was $435, well worth the price. (See More)

They were worth every penny I paid! Not only were Jim and Jacob friendly and helpful, but I felt comfortable having them in my home. They were also great with dogs so that was a huge plus for me!
