I worked from home during the cleaning, which I don’t recommend due to the noise, but they let me know what to expect and even gave me some ear plugs. Very nice! We were extremely pleased with Melvin and Travion. They explained in detail what was going to happen during their hours here. They walked us through the procedure both before and after. They encouraged questions and answered each one carefully. They arrived on time and worked long hours. During that time one of the hoses became damaged and so we waited for the part to arrive from Novi which made the job longer. They apologized several times. It was loud and messy BUT at the end of the day they cleaned everything up and we now have clean ducts and dryer vent! I called to schedule a service date for both my home and my mother’s next door. I spoke with Dawn who was extremely professional, courteous and helpful.
On the morning of my service I was given a call and a text to advise Melvin Buckner and Trevion Nelson were on their way.
Melvin and Trey introduced themselves and immediately got to work. Melvin who was the lead Specialist took the time to explain the procedures, while Trey put drop clothes and wall protectors up along with blocking and applying protective non damaging adhesive to the flooring around the vents.
Time was taken to check each air duct vent and before and after pictures were taken.
Both were diligent with their professionalism, always covering their shoes when inside the home working and making sure to ask if I had any questions.
Melvin explained and showed me how some of my ducts had disintegrated within the slab due to rusting and natural corrosion that occurs. He explained that there was remedy to this problem called Duct Armor that comes with a 15 year warranty and a 40 year life expectancy.
When the time came to clean my dryer vent Melvin took extra time to make sure the run was completely clear of any blockages, even having me turn the dryer to test the air flow.
Both spoke highly of the company they worked for and the treatment they received as employees.
I will definitely continue to use Aimstee on a regular basis in the future and have scheduled them to return on October 30th to install the Duct Armor both to my home and my mothers home next door.
Don’t hesitate! Call and schedule a service date! I can immediately tell the difference in how my furnace is running and the better air quality in my home! (See More)

Knowledgeable, professional, courteous, and informative every step of the way. They were very thorough in explaining the process and showing me the results of their work afterward. Unlike the last company that performed this service for me, Melvin and Mike cleaned both the heat ducts AND the cold air return ductwork (that the other company did NOT do!). Because of the reconstruction process, there will have to be a second duct cleaning and air quality check service call. After reading previous reviews and testimonials, we decided that Amistee was the company we where going to use. We had our ducts cleaned 15 years ago after our house was built. So after building a rec room and a few more projects we decided that it was time to get them cleaned again. The two gentlemen that Amistee sent out where very professional . Explained everything that they where going to do and answered any question I may have had during there visit. They cleaned up during and after and did a walk thru with me before they left.to make sure I was completely satisfied. A few days later we received the pictures of the before and after of the ducts and furnace. WOW!! what a difference. This company and Melvin B. & Tyler M. are (5-stars out of 5). They found that the bottom of my air returns are a cardboard-like material, not metal. They had been painted over by the previous owner, so I never suspected that they were made of anything other than metal. Amistee said they were unable to do the job today, until I get the material checked by a professional. I’m SO thankful the guys were educated enough to recognize the potential danger. Melvin and Ryan M with Amistee Air Duct Cleaning came to the house today. The arrival time was between 1 & 4 PM, they arrived around 12:40 which was great. As soon as they entered the house to check the furnace they put on booties and did so each time they came in from outside until they were able to put down the canvas to protect the floors. They explained what would be done before hand and then again upon completion and took pictures before and after. The process took about 2 1/2 hours. I felt they were very courteous and efficient and answered any questions I had. There was no mess and the house looked the same once they left. As they went from register to register, I wondered how effective the cleaning would be. It wasn't until we were in the basement and I saw how much time they spent on each duct that I became really confident in the process. I made the appointment with 2 days notice and they were still able to squeeze me in They were on time, extremely courteous, and explained everything throughout the entire cleaning process. Not every bit of my clutter and junk got back exactly where it had been, but cleanup was good. If the company could figure out a way to block off most of the open door so fewer bugs get in, that would be even better. Also, they could have been clearer during scheduling; I still don't know whether the crew was supposed to show up at 1:00 for a 1:00-3:00 slot. I called at 1:45 but would have appreciated a heads-up; they got there just before 2:30. I'm quite happy with the experience, as long as our ac is OK. -- it seems to be acting feeble. Amistee is great. They were able to schedule the cleaning quickly after I called. Melvin and Dallas arrived on time. They were very tidy: put paper slippers on over their outdoor shoes, laid down a tarp for the tubing that sucked out the dirt, etc. They were very polite and explained everything they were going to do. I expected there to be a lot of dust when they were done, but even metal surfaces throughout the house were dust-free at the end of the day. I had them do the duct sanitizing with the chlorine. I have a very sensitive sense of smell, so I was concerned about the odor. There was briefly a very mild odor but that quickly dissipated. Their price was quite reasonable. We had Amistee Air Duct Cleaning this past weekend and they did a through job. Jeff and Melvin arrived on time, with a call to tell me they were headed our way. We have an almost 3,000 sq. foot home so it was a rather large job. They made sure they covered the floors with protective tarps as they had to run large "vacuum" type tubes throughout the house. I had scheduled to have air ducts cleaned as well as the dryer vent. The Air duct cleaning went as planned and I was very happy with the work that was provided. My issue though was with the dryer vent cleaning. I had given the scheduler all the information she asked me for about my dryer vent including it's location. The day the technicians came out, it was snowing lightly with current snow on my roof. He let me know that he might not be able to perform that part of my service and that I might need to reschedule for that another time. Also made a comment that his manager had just left and told him, the technician, if he didn't feel comfortable going up on the roof to just let me know. 2 days later, I call to get that service rescheduled and was now told that they don't do dryer vent cleanings that are on the roof! Why was't this brought to my attention when I called for the initial appointment? I might have been able to save some money and time by using a company that could have accommodated both of my requests. It's very frustrating for me, now I have to wait 2 more weeks to get someone here for my dryer vent and it's costing me more money then what I assumed I would be paying by using Amistee. The technicians were very friendly and I do believe that they did a nice job on the air ducts, just super disappointed about the company advertising dryer vent cleaning as well when there are stipulations to it. I have heard mixed reviews about having ducts cleaned, so I never had it done. That being said, I'm getting a new furnace and air conditioning unit so I figured I'd get my ducts cleaned before having my new equipment installed.
I did some research and one of the highest rated and more importantly certified was Amistee. They advertised free estimates so I requested one on their website and received a call the next day. It was on a Sunday! Amazing!
I scheduled the job, my technicians showed up at the selected time window, proceeded to walk me through the process, asked if I had any questions or concerns and Melvin, the lead man even applied an online coupon discount to my bill that I was unaware of.

Melvin, Grant and a new trainee Austin were the techs who were assigned to clean my vents. I've never used any service similar to this so it was a new experience and when Melvin asked if I was satisfied after the job was complete, I said yes, but I have nothing to compare it to. This group were extremely courteous, very friendly and explained what they were going to do and answered any question I had. After they left I dusted and vacuumed and the only nasty mess was behind the furnace itself. My only real disappointment was I was expecting one of those camera's that took pictures inside the vents throughout the home/system. (Since all my vents are in the slab I was hoping to get an idea of how they look, if there were any breaks, cracks, etc). They are a bit pricey but it's something you only need to do every 3-5 years and I'm sure I'll have it done during that time frame again, or as I told Melvin when I get new carpet. I did use Amistee Air Duct Cleaning because of the great reviews I've read on the internet. I'm happier knowing my vents are cleaner because I don't know if this house has had it done in the past. I had my air ducts cleaned by Rob and Melvin recently and very satisfied with the work done. They were polite and patient in answering my questions not only before starting but as they were performing their work. They took pride in their work and very through. They explained why access holes were necessary and how they cleaned both the inlet and outlet air systems. I was shown the how duct whips would get into all the crevices and loosen the accumulations of dust and dirt. They also returned a large tape measure that I didn't know I had dropped in the duct, (probably when I was laying carpet) years ago. I'm 73 years old and have dealt with many contractors in those years, but have never been treated so well and been so satisfied with the complete job. I was told NO dust (duct dirt, dust, etc.) would enter the living spaces through the returns (cold air/ heat returns) during the cleaning process. Well to my surprise I noticed big clouds of dust down the main hallway and in the living room shortly after they began cleaning the main cold air run in the basement. I notified the workers about the clouds of dust in the living spaces. Soon there after, Melvin came upstairs and "sealed off" the cold air returns with some blue plastic. Had this step been done earlier (before the vac cleaning was started) I doubt if any clouds of dust would've entered the living space. Now I need to have the whole mainfloor living space cleaned, carpet and furniture, floors and walls. The other concern I had was not really knowing for sure if all the ducts were 100 percent cleaned. The camera pics only show a "straight view" of 10' and not any bends or to the end of runs. (See More)

Having dealt with numerous contractors over the years, it always causes some questions when you hire a "new company" for the first time. Sometimes the companies don't deliver what they promise, charge more than quoted, the workmanship is shoddy, they leave a mess and in general leave you "sorry" for hiring them. Since this was the first time hiring Amistee I too was left wondering if the referral I was given (by my Family heating repairman) was just another run of the mill outfit. We had Amistee Air Duct Cleaning and Insulation out Friday to clean our 3 furnaces. They did an AMAZING job! When we moved into our house 2.5 years ago we had another company clean our ducts but had to have them redone due to mold issues. The other company was in and out quickly whereas Amistee worked non-stop for 7.5 hours to get all 3 furnaces spotless. We are now second guessing if the first company cleaned all 3 furnaces (there was one that they showed us tons of dirt in that Amistee said they highly doubted we could create that much dirt in 2.5 years. Marvin and Doug were so professional and very nice. Constantly keeping us informed of where they were at throughout the day. They never even took a break for lunch ( I ended up packing them sack lunches to go). Our house was spotless when they were finished and they walked us through to make sure we had no questions. When I made my initial call, the customer service representative explained to me their technicians had background checked for the peace of mind, as they did go to every room and almost every corner of my house. As they were explaining the cleaning process they said they would take a picture Before and After the cleaning to show what a difference the cleaning had made. He took the first picture and showed it to me. There was literally no dust or objects in the duct. At this point he said if he did the cleaning and took another picture it would look like the first. We had our air ducts cleaned for the first time in 16 years and many renovations. Rick and Melvin came in, and cleaned them. They were very professional, kind and very conscious of our pets. They were careful to keep ducts covered so our cats were unable to "escape".

The cleaning went well, they showed me before and after photos of my ducts (although they never emailed them as promised), and the price was only slightly more than other companies. I didn't mind the slight cost because they were very fast and flexible with their scheduling. Of all the companies I've had going through my new home prior to move-in, they were the most conscientious -- careful with their equipment, always wearing shoe covers, and asking about any other concerns that I may have. The only real negative comment is that they did not mention that there would be lots of metal shavings spread all over my basement from them drilling access holes. I assume that they spread around via their shoes. I also unwittingly tracked them around my house and my new hardwood floors. They were so close to being perfect -- I would have vacuumed for them.
