Tyler and his team from Amistee are consummate professionals. I had Aeroseal done in an existing home to seal what I suspected was leaking ducts. Since the space was mostly finished, Aeroseal was the ideal choice to seal the ducts from the inside. The process resulted in a 93% reduction in duct leakage! This means that warm air would now be delivered to far away rooms that had little to no airflow and were much colder before. Great job Amistee! (See More)

They made sure every duct was taped before beginning, did tests to see how much they leaked both before and after sealing. They got along well with one another, and cleaned up after themselves. First the ducts were cleaned by Josh and Rob. Very professional and skilled.....I never saw someone cut such a perfectly round hole freehand and fast!! The pictures show the difference. Nice work boys!!
Next Tyler and Mat came in to seal the ducts with Aeroseal. Again very professional and efficient. They were able to reduce my supply leakage by 98% and the return leakage by 94%! The return took a more bit finesse, as there were many gaps in the basement. Phenomenal outcome!!! Thanks Tyler and Matt.

We Had our home serviced over a week ago now by Amistee. We wanted to give it some time before posting our review so we could observe the difference. My daughter no longer complains about her room being cold !! The heat is distributed evenly all over our 2 story home ! Honestly couldn’t be happier . We had our ducts cleaned and sealed on Monday. Durrell and Torrell were here on time for the cleaning. Tyler and Steven took care of the sealing, also on time. We hired this company to clean our vents. Prior to the cleaning our house was very dusty all the time, no matter how much we cleaned, vacuumed or mopped. The technician recommended sealing our ducts with a process called aeroseal. Best decision we ever made! Basically it’s a process that shoots a sealant into and closes any gaps in our ductwork. Tyler F. and his teammate Colin arrived as scheduled and, following COVID protocols, began work to seal our 50+ year old ductwork with the Aeroseal product. They worked efficiently and thoroughly to correct and seal holes and gaps, one at least large enough for my daughter’s pet cat to climb into the duct through. Both techs were very good about keeping me updated on their progress and able to answer my questions regarding the advantages of the Aeroseal process. I couldn’t be more satisfied with the quality of their work(including sweeping up random dust bunnies left behind by the earlier duct cleaning). We had Tyler and Matt from Amistee come out and seal our duct system with Aeroseal. When we moved back to Michigan in 2000, we were aware that the building standards here don't measure up to other regions of the country where we'd lived, and this project confirms it. After testing our heating/cooling ductwork Tyler and Matt determined that we had leaks in our duct system equivalent to a 116 square inch hole, losing heat in the winter and cold in the summer corresponding to 367 refrigerators full of air loss every hour.
These guys were great. They were prepared for safe and social distanced service, tirelessly worked throughout the day, both with the installation equipment and by hand, with great consideration for us, our house and the duct system. I am especially thankful for their thoroughness and patience, in explaining everything -- every step of the way, along with answering our many questions while they worked.
They came in, protected all of the items in our basement with drop cloths and plastic covers, were constantly monitoring during installation to make sure everything was going according to plan, and when the job was done, they dismantled everything and left it as if they'd never been there.
And the results? They were physically noticeable immediately. Our upstairs has never had consistent heat/cool, but after the application of Aeroseal the difference was unmistakable and remarkable. We went from 611 CFM of leakage down to 25.4 CFM -- a negligible amount. At one point during the process I said to my wife that the decision to have this done, as recommended by the Inside/Outside Guys on WJR, may have been the best we've made in years.
I would recommend the process to anyone and I also recommend Tyler and Matt as a great team to do the work. Before you replace all of the windows in your house at a price that rivals the original cost of your home, consider sealing the ducts. It's a lot more affordable! Thanks Amistee. (See More)

We had Tyler and Mike come to our home to clean out our air ducks. It took me many years to have this done as I have been told this process is more or less a scam. Upon talking to my heating company, they informed me that Amistee really do, do a great job. Tyler and Mike assured me that it would be a thorough and great job. He showed me the before and after results of cleaning my air ducks. Both Tyler and Mike both worked as a harmonist team. The job was completed in a timely manor, I was amazed at the results they accomplished. I am a believer now. Thank You. It was money well spent.

Having just purchased a new home in Detroit, MI -- it's an understatement to say we needed an overhaul of the HVAC systems but specifically, a thorough cleaning of the duct work.
Amistee ADCI came highly recommended from a contractor whom I've come to fully trust, so initially it was a no brainer making the selection of a firm -- their office immediately picked up, managed to schedule my appointment within 4-days (total) and on the day of the appointment - after an appropriately timed confirmation call from Julie - the two team members arrived almost an hour before their scheduled appointment time...
I'd already say that booking this place is a no-brainer just from the paragraph above. The real reason I'm taking the time to produce this review is thanks to Tyler and Kyle. Both were more polite and considerate personally and with respect to the home than anyone I've had of late and that's saying something considering the move. Immediately putting on shoe covering, both patiently toured the house and gave thorough responses to my questions -- most of which were likely more HVAC install related as well. The process was completely explained and both Tyler and Kyle were proactive in sharing their home cleanup process after the duct cleaning -- something they accomplished COMPLETELY following their cleaning. At the end of the appointment, Tyler shared the photos and I'd asked him to rank the scale of "duct cleaning need" which he did (in the 7-8 out of 10 range) and shared photos.
After this experience, I asked both guys how best to share my review and here we are. If you're able to use the team at Amistee Air Duct Cleaning and you choose not to, I'd wonder why. (See More)

They were both VERY professional and explained everything and all that was going to happen. They showed me the ductwork both beforehand and after they had cleaned. We had hired a fly by night duct cleaning company that basically just stuck a vacuum hose into the vents and cleaned whatever they could reach. Amistee actually cut the vents open, cleaned and vacuumed the ENTIRE system including the plenum, patched the holes, and even taped the seams on the patches. Very professional job and very thorough. Basically you get what you pay for including the type of people that work for Amistee. Not one negative thing to say. One of the best home visits for any type of work. Tyler and Greg were extremely respectful, friendly, and very courteous. I was especially impressed by how thorough they were. Not being an expert in this area, it is easy for companies to cut corners and save time but they did not often going back to clean several ducts to ensure they were above acceptable. Even small items like a construction staple, they investigated until all ducts were thoroughly cleaned. They were extremely careful with all equipment as to not cause any damage anywhere in the house. Having three children between 3 and 10, our house is lived in and is not perfect, but they were very careful with kids toys here and there and everywhere. Again very impressed by how professional they both were.
No question about whether I would refer Amistee to others. YES, absolutely! Based on my interactions with Tyler and Greg, I get the impression that this is a good company to work for. Other companies that we have had out to work for various things, it was easy to see in the worker's attitude they did not enjoy working for the business they did. I did not get that impression at all from my experience with them today. I know my wife did do some research on Amistee Air Duct Cleaning and Insulation and every review was very positive. I understand why now from our cleaning today. I am very pleased to be able to write this review for Tyler and Greg. They were outstanding overall and took time to explain all that they had done. I had to have my dryer duct cleaned. When Matt and Tyler arrived my first thought was, great, they sent the JV squad. Matt and Tyler were on time, introduced themselves to me, greeted me with a handshake and were dressed professionally. I must admit I was just a little apprehensive when I saw two young men come to the door. I thought at least one should be older to have a large knowledge base. My apprehension was quickly replaced with assurance. Tyler and Alex went right to work with a respectful, courteous and professional mannerism. They were on time and even took before and after pictures of the vents. They are polite and professional about their work. Both gentlemen clearly like their job! They whistled and sang and chatted with us while they worked, but it did not slow them down. I was called 35mins prior to the appointment by their office to let me know the team were on schedule and would be arriving at the allotted time.
The vehicle arrived promptly.
The team leader introduced himself and his co-worker.
He gave me initial run through of how the work would be carried out and how long it would take.
He also informed me of the noise that would be made by the various tools during the process, some which may upset our dog if he was in close proximity. (In the end the dog lay outside quite happily not far from the truck during the cleaning) .
Next into the basement to check out the layout and to describe in detail what would be done.
The equipment was then set up and they accessed the air ducts as described.
"Before" pictures were taken and I was shown the various areas of the ducting system.
Once the cleaning started they kept me informed of the process through out.
When complete, they tidied up everything behind them, showed me the after pictures.
Both employees were very professional and polite.

Overall, A very positive experience. Good communication with the scheduling people, letting me know when the crew would arrive. The arrived on time. Set up and made precautions to protect the house where the suction line came in so trim/flooring wouldn't be damaged. Good job explaining what they were doing and used photos to show before/after. They did a thorough job with the ducts and definitely earned their money. The trunk lines in my house are in a crawl space, so they had to spend a lot of time in the hole.
My only concern is that they don't make an effort to remove registers or ask to remove registers when they start cleaning so that initial cleaning tends to blast dust back into the house. (See More)
