We moved to Longmont after 43 years living in Boulder. Our children used American Moving and Storage for their moves and we decided you use them, too. We talked with the owner, Gabriel. who mentioned that the movers are employees, covered by workman's comp. This was a key reason we chose American Moving & Storage because we believe that employees have a stake in the success of the business. Even though the price estimate was higher than another moving company we considered, the actual cost is based on the hourly rate and the number of movers (we had 5 movers and 2 trucks). We were extremely satisfied with the move. Packing up the trucks took all morning and unpacking took all afternoon. Furniture was carefully wrapped and moved. The movers took great care carrying boxes and furniture and made sure no property was damaged. The movers were tireless and moved many many heavy boxes of books and office equipment. From the courtesy and efficiency of scheduling the free estimate to the last time the final mover walked out the door of our new house, the process was flawless. The estimate was delivered promptly and accurately. The follow-up call days before the move and during the move was efficient.
The packers arrived on time, did their work without supervision and most importantly without breaking anything and left early, thus saving me money.
The following day, the movers arrived on time, placed protective plastic on every surface where they were going to step and loaded the truck with our possessions quickly and again, without scratching a wall or piece of furniture.
They arrived at our new house early, unpacked and set-up what needed to be done and departed early. Again, saving me money.
Although American Moving's estimate was nearly twice what a competitor bid (which we thought was way too low), we felt a sense of comfort and professionalism with this company and would highly recommend them. This is the second time we used this company.
The "hands-on" movers were friendly and highly professional and we tipped them generously.

From the first visit by Todd, our Estimator, every interaction with American Moving was business like and professional.
We moved in early September and the move was somewhat complicated by a freak snowstorm that dumped heavy wet snow two days before the scheduled move date. Fallen trees and branches blocked streets to our area resulting in limited access. We half expected our move date to be pushed back but with some quick action by the city to clear the streets and some careful maneuvering around the debris by the the AM crew they arrived as scheduled. Despite some challenges on site due to the fallen branches surrounding our house the service provided by the American Moving crew of Jesus, Jorge & Florencio was efficient and professional. They had us packed up and out of our old home and to our new home in a timely and cost efficient manner. We came in $200 under budget! A nice surprise. (See More)

We needed to relocate a large child care center and with very short notice. We have been here for 40 plus years. It was a TON of stuff, three large truckloads. Tables, chairs, boxes and boxes of toys, supplies, office equipment, full commercial kitchen...Bryan consistently communicated through the entire process, making sure we had enough boxes almost daily and was very reassuring that it could get done quickly and efficiently. Florencio, Lucas, Javier, Victor and Jesus were very professional, very fast and very kind. They got us entirely moved in TWO DAYS! Not to mention taking down some large scarecrows we had wired around the place and putting them in storage too. Really impressed with the work these gentle men did and I highly recommend them. The last time I used a packing service it was a nightmare experience. I was very hesitant to use another service with my local move however American Moving and Storage came HIGHLY recommended by our very capable home inspector. The move occurred over two days. Day one, Tom and Brian packed up my house within 6 hours. They were professional, personable, and efficient. The following morning, Jesus Rios' team moved everything into the truck and unloaded into our new home less than one mile away. These guys worked SO HARD! Seriously, they busted their butts for over 8 hours!!!! My only regret was not having more cash on hand to give them a bigger tip. I am 110% satisfied with American Moving and Storage and HUGE THANK YOU to Tom, Brian, Jesus Rios, Florencio for making my move (and life) easier. (See More)

Luis, Jesus G, Jesus R, Dustin and Lucas did a great job for me. They arrived on time, were courteous and punctual, and were very careful with my belongings. I would not hesitate to recommend this team. I especially appreciated the experience and knowledge that Luis and Jesus G and Jesus R exhibited.
The reservation team were also excellent, following up with me regularly pre-move to make sure everything was on-track.

I have done several local moves in the Denver/Boulder area with American Moving and they have done an excellent job every time. My moving crew this time, Florencio and Rios were the best yet! They were courteous, efficient, and careful with my furnishings and my house - and it quickly became obvious that they were experienced professional movers who knew how to do the job properly. American Moving may not be the least expensive, but their rates are fair and all-inclusive with no hidden fees, so you get what you pay for - a stress-free move with an experienced crew that shows up on time, works hard, and takes care to protect your floors, walls and furnishings. They followed up to confirm our move time, called during the move to see how things were going and called after the move to make sure nothing had been damaged. Florencio and Jesus delivered our furniture and treated every piece, including a very heavy couch with electric adjustment and a heavy adjustable electric bed with great care. The respect they showed to us, our belongings and our recently purchased, (and painted) house proved way above anything we could have expected. What an incredible pair of movers. We could not have been more pleased with the quality and pride they displayed in their efforts. Want to say I am very happy with the team who moved my family up into the mountains above Boulder, CO.
They were at the house early in the day, and hustled all day long! Very professional, personable and fun to talk with... all while carrying very heavy furniture off of the truck at 8000 ft.!!!
At the end of the day, the final invoice was within a few bucks of the estimate.
This is the third successful residential move American Moving & Storage has done for me. I don't know why I even bother calling other companies for estimates. These guy are very good at their work!!!

Wow! What wonderful movers. Three guys arrived on time and I walked them through what needed to be moved. They quickly started to install carpet protectors and door guards. A different company told us they would charge extra for these or we could purchase on our own and install. What impressed me is they then wrapped all furniture in plastic wrap and then in a blanket. I have only found one blemish on a piece of furniture. They had our entire house loaded in three hours and had to move everything into the foothills after a storm. The only time they stopped was to grab food and eat on the way to the new house. The quote from the sales manager was accurate and we paid what we expected. These guys were by far the best movers we have ever hired. (See More)

Upon calling Dan I was became very confident with American Moving & Storage. Dan took the time to ask what belongings I had in my apartment and then proceeded to explain the expected billing charges. They called me the Friday before my Monday move to verify the move. Jesus R. & Florencio T. arrive right on time and proceeded to check my apartment for the move. I had everything organized and ready to go. They were very efficient and protective of my belongings when loading and unloading. They used wrap around my couch,TV,etc. I feel like they rounded up to the nearest hour when the job was done and it did come in on the high side that Dan quoted me. However, since they were so good and speedy with moving all my belongings I wasn't complaining. I would gladly use American moving again and highly recommend their excellent service! Thanks a lot!!! We just had the team from American Moving in Broomfield move us and I couldn't be more impressed. The team of Rios, Jesus and Florencio worked harder than I have ever seen grown men work (and I grew up baling hay all day and worked as a wildland firefighter). The team was polite and happy and if we asked them to do something extra, they happily accommodated us.
