We moved to Longmont after 43 years living in Boulder. Our children used American Moving and Storage for their moves and we decided you use them, too. We talked with the owner, Gabriel. who mentioned that the movers are employees, covered by workman's comp. This was a key reason we chose American Moving & Storage because we believe that employees have a stake in the success of the business. Even though the price estimate was higher than another moving company we considered, the actual cost is based on the hourly rate and the number of movers (we had 5 movers and 2 trucks). We were extremely satisfied with the move. Packing up the trucks took all morning and unpacking took all afternoon. Furniture was carefully wrapped and moved. The movers took great care carrying boxes and furniture and made sure no property was damaged. The movers were tireless and moved many many heavy boxes of books and office equipment. We highly recommend American Moving & Storage. (See More)

Eduardo and the team were great! They arrived on time, were very efficient but were also very careful. The moved an entire home in one day without any damage to any items, and no scuffed walls at either location. The weather was not good (rain turning to snow), but the moving team did a great job laying down runner mats and plastic to make sure that they did not track this through either house. I am very pleased with my moving experience and I highly recommend this company (See More)

Eduardo and his team, (Eduardo, Jose, Angel, Luis and Daniel) worked very hard for over 10 hours on our move. They kept a great attitude throughout even though they had to be exhausted, and were genuinely concerned about getting the furniture and boxes to the right rooms. Not a single thing was damaged, and not a mark was left on the carpet or walls. The estimate was slightly lower than the actual bill due to specialized packing materials needed, but the moving consultant was knowledgeable and very professional. I was very pleased with the service that were provided by Eduardo, Luis and Omar as they did the heavy lifting of our furniture and other things for our recent move. They arrived on time and worked steadily through the morning loading our things on their large truck. They took great care of our mirrors and other things with glass. They were professional in their work and remained diligent as they loaded our things on to the truck on a very hot day.
Once the truck was loaded they met us at our new home on time and unloaded our things. They carried them to the spots in the new house where we thought they should go and even moved the furniture to a different spots when we changed our minds.
Eduardo, Luis and Omar did a great job with our move. They had all the appropriate equipment they needed. I would recommend them to handle things for your next move. (See More)

Movers from American Moving and Storage did an excellent job in moving my furniture and household goods into temporary storage, until my new house is ready for move in. Every furniture item was carefully wrapped in blankets and plastic wrap before being loaded into a storage bin. All of my hanging pictures and photos were carefully wrapped and placed in boxes. The whole crew (Eduardo, Rios, Javier, and Cruz) did a fantastic job helping with my elderly mother’s move. They were friendly and did a great job of moving all of her antiques and furniture with no damage. Their flexibility was greatly appreciated as they accommodated moving some additional items that they were not aware she wanted moved. We especially appreciated their helping mom remember what items came from which room in her old house so she could decide to put them in our new house - very helpful since I wasn’t able to be at her house when they packed her up. Jeremiah Adrian Eric and Edwardo R. - They all did an awesome job with our move! Communication was great and they arrived at the designated time. Fast and efficient crew that were also friendly. Did a fantastic job moving difficult items like our baby grand piano without any damage to them. Was especially pleased that they effectively coordinated the move from two different houses all the way to Windsor.

The entire move was made easier for us by using American Moving & Storage. Not the least expensive but well worth it. Continual communication with the office staff from start to finish was appreciated and relieved any doubt that the work would be done on schedule. The team actually doing the move kept in contact with us by phone about their location and estimated times for the pickup and for the move into the new home. Scheduled times were met. The crew protected our furniture and also the floors and carpets and entrances. Once we showed them the layout of the house we simply had to say where each piece was to go. We hired American Moving to help us move all of our belongings into a new home. The front office was excellent when we asked for them to send someone to come give us a quote. The salesman who provided the quote was thorough, professional and pleasant, and the Garcia Brothers (Eduardo, Manuel and Javier) that moved everything for us were excellent! We couldn't believe how fast they worked and were tired just watching them. If we move again, we will definitely use them again. We used American Moving for our office move and working with them made a stressful process much easier. We had an on-site consultation with Todd, who asked a lot of great questions that helped make sure we prepared all the IT equipment and fragile items prepared accordingly, and gave us confidence that our move was in the right hands.
The actual move went smoothly with no major hiccups, which is better than I had expected after a couple of nightmare office moves in the past! The move team was personable and had a great attitude throughout the day, even on a very long and tiring move day.

Overall the move experience with the Bloomfield CO. American Movers team was successful and satisfactory. The moving team was courteous even though the leader dwelt excessively on the fact that they were short of boxes. It is difficult to determine the contents of a move based on a phone conversation and a list of goods emailed from the customer. I feel a company rep should have visited the address and accessed the contents by sight. This miscommunication is what caused the shortage of boxes. The moving team was hesitant to move glass and other small goods because a. there was no packing materials to wrap and pack glass and b. the time it would take to pack small goods like food would be critical with a shortage of boxes.
This resulted in my making 4 separate trips with 3 large plastic tote boxes full each trip of the above goods to the destination address which was fortunately only 1/2 mile from the moving address. The invoice was adjusted downward from the estimate to reflect less time involved than estimated for the move. I appreciated this gesture from the move team leader. (See More)

Eduardo, Manuel, and Daniel were so competent and careful. Moving delicate items, and setting them up in the new place with no damage to the items, or my walls and floors at either place. They were demon-workers when getting the truck loaded with heavy items from the many floors of a 5-level house, and into the truck securely. The Vespa, SUPS, Skis, bikes, garage workbenches, and contents of a large house were all placed correctly in the new place. They even re-arranged the baby grand piano to my specifications. I really appreciated the way they reassured me it was all going to be okay, because they knew I was stressed moving out of my home. And, despite the long day, American Moving's estimate was spot on. My move was almost a month ago, but they were terrific. Someone came out to my house ahead of time and did a detailed inventory and gave me an honest quote. On the day of the move the 3 gentlemen who moved our stuff were super polite and efficient. They wrapped every thing and laid down pads so that our floors didn't get damaged. I do wish I had known ahead of time that there may be a delay in finding a driver for our load. I understood that moving in July is their busy season, but finding out my stuff was going to be unloaded and loaded an extra time, stored for an unknown amount and possibly late added stress. I had a great experience moving with Gil and Eduardo from American Moving & Storage today! To start from the beginning, we also had great service and communication with the company before they showed up as well. Shawny (might be spelled wrong) was super helpful on the phone and gave us lots of useful information and confirmation calls to make sure that our time and date of pick up were correct. Then this morning Gil called me from the truck just to let me know that they were on their way so I knew when exactly to expect them. When they got to my place they were super friendly and got down to business quick. They asked questions about what should stay or go and made sure they documented things they were boxing and things that were damaged (that I had previously damaged) to make sure all records were accurate. For two guys they did the job pretty quick and then explained the paperwork for me to sign, then they were gone! I'd highly recommend using them to move, they were very careful and organized and I really appreciate it! (See More)

Had a great experience with American Moving & Storage. Dan came out to our house and helped estimate what our move would cost. Having never hired movers, I just had no idea where to start. I enjoyed that it was based on actual time spent vs a fixed fee. However, I didn't appreciate that the clock started when they left the office and ended when they got back. That tacked on another 1.5 hrs (we live in Denver) so didn't appreciate spending $260 just for their drive time. Overall, though the guys did a great job. Nothing broken! Nothing damaged! (See More)
