Not all heroes wear capes! This morning, Tony Borba, the pro from Air Assurance saved the day! The only material thing I cherish is my eternity wedding band. Monetarily it's worth over $2000, but as all wives know, it's the sentiment that makes it our cherished possession. While cooking this past Sunday, it slipped off and went down the garbage disposal side of the sink. My heart sank and I was a basket case. My other hero, my husband, stepped in and tried to retrieve it but to no avail. He "assured" me.....get it.....that he would contact Air "Assurance" on Monday and schedule them to come out, and that he had a good feeling that they would be capable of retrieving the wedding band without harming it. Fast forward to Tuesday...Tony Borba arrives at 8:30 a.m. just as we had been promised. Within about thirty minutes of him arriving and setting up in the kitchen he walked towards me with my wedding band!! I was ecstatic and tearful and very grateful!! Such a kind man and so very professional. We gained a new disposal on top of it all just because we wanted a new one after years and years with the old one. AND...because we have the service package thing, we saved $70 on the cost of the new disposal. AND I'm not finished, Tony found a leak under the sink that he fixed with no extra charge! The drain pipe for our upstairs heating unit froze in all the super cold temps over the New Year's Holiday. It overflowed into our ceiling and came through into our kitchen. We called Air Assurance to come out and even with all the calls they were getting because of the temps, they were able to get a technician out within a few hours. Cory was very professional and not only did what he could that day, but scheduled a time to come back after our contractor cut out the attic floor so he could finish the job. Air Assurance and Cory took good care of us and I'm glad we're members of their Extended Service Plan program. I would definitely recommend them (and have to our neighbor who had a similar problem)! Your office policies and procedures need to change! I was stood up on my appointment AND the agreed on follw up appointment with no call prior to the sceduled time! The tech was all set to leave without finding any problems with the system until he was pressed further. It seemed to then give the system a little more thorough check and decided that it was a danger to the house due to a "crack" in the heat exchanger and that he had to turn the gas off. Regardless of whether this is the correct diagnosis or not (I happen to disagree), if the issue was a big enough cause for concern that our gas had to be turned off immediately, then his second look at the system should probably be a standard check by your company. I had our unit inspected in the fall with no issues found and the first inspection this weekend by your tech also did not turn up any issues, until he was pressed further. I feel like a paid someone to come over and use scare tactics to sell us a new system without the benefit of helping us with our current situation at all. (See More)
