else was a disaster! Exhaust lines were installed incorrectly-did not pass MUD inspection, Central air unit is so loud I can’t sleep at night.- May have to replace bcus they can’t fix the issue. Follow up from Install Manager was very poor. Took over 2 months to complete. Overall I wish I had gone elsewhere-Beware! (See More)

Great job by all. They were careful of the landscape replacing the A/C unit. Inside the heating system was replaced and the fit and finish was great. Explained the operation of everything. They came back two weeks later and checked out the operation of the systems plus installation. The tech was here over an hour checking out everything. New system is quiet. This is a company that care about its customer. We highly recommend A-1. (See More)

Had A1 install a furnace and air. Eric and Grant did an excellent job. Done right and looks fantastic, very clean install. Speaking of clean, they cleaned up after themselves and you would never know they had been working there. I'll always use A1 for all my heating and cooling needs. (See More)

My experience with A-1 United was to replace a gas furnace. I did ask two requests that were accommodated. The crew was decent and respectable. But from there it went downhill. The equipment cabinet and covers were dented and scraped, thought minor this was supposed to be a new unit. Would you like to receive your new car damaged and would that be acceptable ? In completing the job they appeared to not have enough material, supplies, fasteners for installation. They did with what they had on-board. An accessory item was not properly connected back up. Another connection was not properly done. Something else came loose. Something else was not connected. They did return, but what they did again was not much better other than connecting an item omitted. From my observation I question mostly the workmanship / integrity and what appeared lack of experience or ability to do things right the first time or the second and not being prepared with means to make a first class installation happen. This should have also been a one day job but it was not. In this process I wanted another accessory, I decided to choose another company to complete that purchase / installation. If you are willing to accept something less than first class service then by all means use A-1 United. thank you (See More)

Our air conditioner died during the hottest part of August on a Friday evening. We contacted A-1 United through Costco and they were out later that day to give us an estimate, and started the A/C install on Monday. We couldn't have been happier. A-1 came to my house, checked out the old unit( yep it was shot), recommended a new unit, and gave me pricing options. Of course this was during the hottest part of the summer. Nothing like the pressure of getting the house cooled down for the wife and kids ASAP. Well, the salesman and technician that I interacted with knew what the situation was. So, they seemed to truly be putting themselves in my position. Thus, In 2 days, the unit installed and we were cool again. It was like these guys were trying to get the A/C back on in their own homes for their families. Very short wait for the time of year. They had a follow up to check the unit was working properly and the technician explained everything to me. This whole operation is a class act. From the salesman, to the install crew, to the technicians. I live in Bellevue, NE, so I had to have the city inspect for proper install per code. The inspectors said that they did a top notch or "A-1" job. You can't go wrong giving A-1 a call. They will do you right for a reasonable price. Our old central A/C unit went out while the high temps during the day were in the mid to upper 90's and our 1-year old son was sick with a fever of 103+. Not a great scenario. We called A-1 after hours on a Sunday night and one of their service techs came out to see what he could do, even though it was after dark. The A/C was toast, but A-1 even rescheduled some installations so we could get our new one installed ASAP. My family is very appreciative toward A-1 for all of the extra effort their staff put in to help us out. Thanks again! (See More)

They protected our carpets, cleaned up each day and hauled away removed or excess material each day. The installation looks professional and it works as planned. We have now used the air conditioning through the summer months and have been pleased with their recommendation. I especially love the quiet running of the air conditioner as I sit out on the patio. Have been with A-1 United Heating & Air Conditioning of Omaha for many years. They do my twice yearly inspections on my house HVAC systems. I needed to replace my A/C unit this summer and was pleasantly surprised at our simple they made the process for me. From finding me the right unit for my house to the financing for the unit and the installation process. The appointment was for 8:30 AM and their installers were 15 minutes earlier. They had the unit replaced and up and running in no time flat. They kept the work area neat and clean and left me with no clean up to do afterwards. These folks are the best: Professional, friendly and knowledgeable and will answer any question(s) the homeowner has. Highly recommend them to all my friends. (See More)

Our A/C unit was totalled out in a storm. Called the folks from A-1 to come out and give me a bid. Unlike many contractors, everything they said they would do from the time they would be out to the date the new unit was installed was exactly as described. Overall I would recommend A-1. However, they should have done a better job with the AC installation. They did not have a couple of the parts necessary to finish the job and we had to call them back twice to finalize the install. It seems the company does not communicate well internally. When we called to schedule someone to come back out to finish the job we had to re-explain what needed to be done. The first time they came out they only brought one of the parts and so we had to call a second time to get the last piece of the puzzle. Since it was the end of the summer we assume they did a good job with the install and that everything is working properly (only had to use the AC for a couple of days before the weather cooled down). Given my experience to date, I'd say they do a good job, but need to improve their internal communications. Each department should work together as a team; the customer should not be the communication link between departments. (See More)

We've used A-1 United Heating & Air Conditioning for many years to service our 2 heat pumps and 2 gas furnaces. Let me tell you why we think so highly of them. Their service technicians are completely honest, which always allows me to have frank conversations on all the repair options without feeling like I'm being sold something I don't need. In addition to being very knowledgeable, they also impress me with a commitment to determine what caused the service problem, and not just repair the symptom. I've met about a dozen of their service techs over the years and every one of them exudes passion for doing his job well. I can't say I've ever observed that anywhere else. On some occasions I've called them for advice on issues I felt I could responsibly resolve myself. When I've done so, I've gotten helpful advice without hesitation and with no pressure to set up a service call. On other occasions I've visited the service center and been able to purchase some accessories directly from them, while receiving generous advice on how to install them myself. I really like the honest, friendly, and no-pressure interactions I always have with A-1 United Heating and Air employees. (See More)

A-1 United provided me with a Lennox Pulse Furnace heat ex changer when the original installer of the furnace told me none were available and that I would have to purchase a new furnace. I called A-1 United and they had one installed the next day. That was Dec 2002 and I have been with them ever since. I am totally satisfied with the new Lennox A/C. (See More)

Slightly frustrating because the repairman could not answer all our questions, we had to call the office to get someone to answer our questions. And we had to wait several days in 90 degree heat for parts to come in. Overall, the two guys that worked on our AC were very professional and trustworthy and the problem was ultimately resolved. We called A-1 when we realized that our Air Conditioner was constantly running and it wasn't able to cool our house. The service technician was very friendly and informed us of what would be needed to fix the old, outdated unit and what outcome it might have. After our discussion, we opted to look into a new unit. The service technician didn't try to bandaid our unit and charge us for service that he knew would probably be needed again. Instead, he did all the work to put me in touch with a Comfort Advisor. That is when we were contacted by Mr. Hill. We received an immediate call from Mr. Hill and we were able to set up an appointment on the next business day. He came to the meeting with two units that fit our house and our budget. He did not try to oversell us anything - which is appreciated these days. We were having our out a/c unit fixed due to a bad hail storm. Due to the amount of damage do done but not realized buy the insurance company we had to either have expensive parts replaced or the whole unit. With talks from service agents and sales people we were able to work out with the insurance agency the need to have the whole unit replaced. As for honesty they explained to us how if we didn't replace it now we may have parts fail in the next few years. That it would save us money by replacing it now. I wanted to take the time to thank A-1 for their superior service and prompt attention to detail! We love our new furnace and ac units. I also want to thank Marty, the salesman who came to our house not once, but a second time to answer my wife's questions/concerns. In fact, Marty pushed back his dinner night with his wife to make sure Megan and I were comfortable with our decision. Marty wasn't pushy at all! In fact, Marty made my wife and I feel like we were one of the family. Marty was so experienced....meaning...when I told him I'm going to get 3 bids from the major brands: Trane, Carrier and Lennox. Marty's first response was, "You should, you want to make sure you understand what your purchasing and from whom." Marty explained in full depth everything, and I mean everything to where I felt I could work for A-1 :) Marty didn't try to upsell either...he wanted to make sure my family and I would get the best bang for our buck. He provided a few different options, either which would be a very good product. Basically it came down to do I want a high efficient or an 80% furnace. Marty knew I was going to get other bids, from other organizations. He told me everything they are going to say.....Marty then said, "The key is being comfortable with what you want, not what they want to sell you." That stuck with me....and you guessed it....the other bids I received were outrageous...complete oversells on things not needed....Marty hit it on the head.....and virtually word for word, that he told me "they" were going to try and sell me..... Needless to say, we went with A-1 and Lennox! We love it! It works like a ninja....meaning we can't even hear the furnace or ac unit when it comes on..... Thanks A-1! We selected this dealer for a number of reasons. The product is make in Iowa. The warranty was equal in comparison to two other brands. The price was more competitive to two other brands we reviewed. We believe Lennox is a quality product that will service our needs for several years to come. We owned another Lennox in a former home which we were satisfied with as well. I have used A-1 for years to clean and get my systems ready for fall/winter. When both my blowers went out XMAS 2013 on my furnace, they were there that day to get it running. I decided to get a new system since mine was not big enough for my house. They came out that day, went over the different systems and the installation started the next day. When our area was hit by a violent hail storm, many AC units were beat up including ours. A-1 United was responsive not only to the initial visit for options, but exceptionally helpful in getting the install going as quickly as possible. Our old AC unit was dead, so the summer heat had crept into the house. The Lennox products are performing as expected and we're once again comfortable in our home. Had an amazing experience with A-1 United Heating & Air in Omaha, NE. We came home after having my baby two weeks early with a c-section. To my surprise my air conditioning was not working. Our original HVAC was installed by another dealer but we were never satisfied with the services they provided when work was needed. We switched to A-1 and found them to be know more about the Lennox brand and how to care for it. When the 20-year old heat pump died we called on them and had them install a regular A/C. They did an outstanding job and were able to meet our busy schedule on a timely basis. In my humble opinion they are the best in Omaha. (See More)

Co. installed your furnace back in 2005. We were a loyalty maintenance customer until Co. refused to work with us when my wife lost her job and we needed help paying our monthly fee. When we needed an air conditioner in May 2014, we decided to give them another chance. It was -30 blow zero and we have a horrible snow storm and my furance went out . I was with out heat for a week and called a lot of companys. That I felt they were just way to much. So then I called A-1 heating and they were so good to me . they took off every thing they could possibly to make it afford able for me . I was with out a job with no money and they were so understanding they recomend Lennox to me and I am very happy They worked with me to get this heat going they were more concern about my well being than the cost of a furance. Getting warranty information from the dealer took longer than expected. Once they received payment in full prior to installation we found the sales rep was hard to get in contact with. Installation went well and overall satisfaction is great. Company could use refresher course on follow up. (See More)

Greg was excellent throughout the process for purchasing our Air Conditioner. He provided all information necessary, answered any questions expertly, and did not pressure a decision or a sale. I had originally scheduled three separate companies to bid on my new heating and air conditioning system, but I was so pleased with the how the sales person from A1 United presented their product and the price I was quoted, I cancelled the other two bids. I had hail damage this summer and the insurance adjuster stated I needed the fins combed out. The technician said there was too much damage and that I would need a new unit. The dealer came to my house prompty and explained my options. I hada new unit installed within a week and I am so glad. My energy use was less the rest of the summer and my house cooled much better! This salesman was very helpful and even showed my son the sight to compare to get the best results out of any product.He gave us 3 proposels of the best line lennox offered for our home. The installation was a neet job. We had a call back when tine to start furnace of which they were hear the same day. Had a problem with the humidity going to the drain and they were here the same day and found a loose fitting from the factory and fixed it (See More)

Our initial installation went quickly and smoothly. No problems whatsoever. Several weeks later, however, we had a propane leak (not related to your service). We called the company that installed the tank to come and fix the leak, which they did. In the process, they forgot to turn our propane back on. Needless to say, our furnace shut off during the day. Not knowing what happened and coming home to a cold house, I called the guy that installed our furnace to see what the problem was. He dropped everything and came right away. Once he got here, he knew what the problem was immediately. I would recommend him to anyone! We also just received our first bill, which was half of what we paid monthly at our old house. When my 30 year old airconditioner went out on the hottest day of the summer, A-1 United quickly responded. The salesperson was knowledgeable and was able to educate me about options in a way I could underatnd. I decided to replace the airconditioner and the furnace. Although the installation took three days, A-1 made sure I was not without cooling. The workmen were prompt, friendly, and extremely neat. When MUD came to inspect the installation, the work was rated excellent. Over the Thanksgiving holiday, my company commented that they never heard the furnace turning on or off. To Management, I am writing this letter to commend the employees that installed the new furnace and air conditioner at our home. On Thursday, August 22nd, the compressor on our air conditioner quit working. It was extremely hot, and I’m certain that A-1 had a high call volume for air conditioner service. We have an infant and a 2 year old who are more susceptible to heat-related illness, and are generally crabby when hot. Damon arrived at our home early on August 23rd, reviewed our issues, and explained our options. We decided to remedy existing zone cooling issues and update the furnace when we replaced the air conditioner. On Monday, August 26th, Brett, Chris and Zach installed the new air conditioner and furnace. The A-1 team ensured that the air conditioning was working before they left on Monday. Since we ordered a new system, the installation was a two day job and they returned on Tuesday to complete the installation. We are extremely pleased with the new system that Damon sold us and the professional manner in which the equipment was installed. (See More)

I had 3 estimates in one day and A-1 was able to install the next day. They were on time and did a good job. The person who came out to give us an estimate listened to what we wanted and did not try to up sell us to something we did not need. They also had the best pricing around. (See More)
