Levi and Juan came to our home at the promised time, introduced themselves professionally, walked through the project with me communicating how the job would be done, confirming all the items we had contracted Wolfers to do in the A/C installation. They effectively and efficiently removed the old unit, coil and feed lines then installed the new unit for us. The work was performed meticulously with close attention to detail in how the unit, the lines and the refitting of the furnace looked when finished. We were very pleased with their work ethic, willingness to communicate, answer questions and how they took pride in their work. "My name is on this installation, so it has to be done right" was Levi's motto and he made sure everything was brought up to proper code and professionally installed. This review is for the team of people who installed the HVAC system in our home which is a condominium. They were Levi, Zack, Alex and Juan. They were prompt, efficient, careful of our living space and careful of COVID protocols. What my wife and I especially liked was the way the team members engaged with one another in coordinating the work around our fairly complex installation. In addition, Ric, who worked to give us the quote for the job was very helpful in the selections we made for the equipment we had installed and in follow up questions we had.

Great crew, very personable and focused. Team leader Levi and assistants Juan and Seth answered all questions and shared technical information in an easily followed format. Lead installer, Levi, was very professional and displayed excellent communication skills when explaining our new system to us. These folks did a clean install and left the job site in great condition! We would have no hesitation in having this Wolfer Install team back for other jobs. Wolfer's installed an A/C unit 2 days before the heat wave in our area. Levi and Juan did an excellent job getting the work done in a timely manner. The explained how they planned to do the installation and explained key features during the process. They both kept us in the loop as they needed to customize certain phase of the installation. The result was a much needed A/C unit just in time for the heat wave. The unit is very effective, gets the job done, and quietly! I used Wolfer's Home Services to do my annual furnace & air conditioner maintenance. A repairman by the name of Francisco C. came to my home to do the work. I found Francisco to be professional and personable. He did a super job servicing both my furnace and air conditioner. I also have a rental condo which Francisco also serviced. He did maintenance again on both my furnace and air conditioner at the rental unit. As in the first case, Francisco was professional and personable. In visiting with Francisco, he is superbly well trained and knows his way around both the furnace and air conditioner. From my perspective, if I could have Francisco dedicated as my maintenance and repairman long term, I would be a very happy customer. Poor service and installation through and through. Multiple phone calls and emails to try and get something added to a scheduled service and they never follow-up. Levi and his crew installed a Lennox heat pump with 2 split HVAC units last week and we were extremely satisfied with everything! They arrived exactly on time, gave me a courtesy call 30 minutes prior. They were all very skilled and professional, took time to explain what they were doing and answered all of our questions, down to every detail. I would recommend Wolfer's to anyone in need of HVAC repair/upgrade. Salesman Ric Martin was very helpful in making sure that we got the system that we wanted, and helping us understand what work was necessary to get the job accomplished, going over everything prior to the installation so that there were no surprises or extra costs. My journey with Wolfers started with getting a quote for a complete heat pump replacement. While talking with the person building the estimate, he urged me to get a second technical opinion (the first company that came out said it was not worth fixing and I should replace it). Francisco came out and discovered that I had a bad fuse and shorted circuit board. He fixed it and I saved thousands of dollars. Francisco was great to work with. From the quote to the install, it was nothing but professionalism!
I'm not very educated on HVAC, so instead of just getting me a few prices, Ric really walked me through on the sizing of furnaces and AC units -- it makes a difference! You don't want to overpay for something that you'll never use, and you don't want to underpay and end up with a sub-par unit that won't cool your house properly.
The other thing to consider is that unlike things like cars, TVs, or phones, the installation team has to *install* the equipment into your home. You can get a top of the line HVAC unit, but if its not installed properly, then you'll be sad.
The truth of the matter is that if you're looking for the lowest bid, there will always be a lower price.
Obviously we live in the real world and not everyone can afford to top dollar for everything -- I'm not looking to get ripped off! But I don't want price to be the only factor in making my decision. It also has to be a good fit for what I'm looking to do, and how long I'm planning on staying in the house.
I still recommend getting a few different bids -- we need to do our part as customers and get a gauge of what the "market rate" is for HVAC installs.
The quote I got from Ric was in the same ballpark as the other quotes we got (basically all within a tight range of ~$1000 /-). Ric's professionalism, plus the backing of Costco and the reputation of Lennox was what got us to move forward with Wolfers.

A few notes here:
1) Lennox, for what its worth, is the "Apple" of AC Units. Their equipment is a little more pricey and the replacement parts are ... a little more proprietary than Trane/Rheem/American Standard parts, but Lennox is also regarded as higher quality as well.
2) It really pays to get quotes in March/April. This is right after the cold season but before things get really busy in the summer time. This means that install crews need to be kept busy and... for lack of a better term ... the sales guys are in turn "hungrier" to make sales. You might get more competitive bids when a little bit slow on the install side.
If you wait until the middle of July, then you're going to be asking people to either work overtime or drop whatever they're doing in order to get to you. This usually means paying a premium!

Back to the review -- since we did all our homework in March, the install teams weren't as busy and they were able to fit us in literally the next day. Levi and Zach came in Wednesday morning, installed and checked everything, and were done by Wednesday evening! They also explained everything to me very well, and showed me where to get filters for my new furnace. (Spoiler Alert: Amazon! I have a super high quality filter that only needs changing once a year, but the filter itself is kind of spendy. The service team has to mark up their filters, but if you just buy off of Amazon, then you can save yourself a few bucks)
They were super friendly and even took the time to clean my garage after they were done (!). The garage never looked cleaner (though that probably speaks to how messy I am more than anything else).
If you're a homeowner and you need to get your HVAC system replaced, definitely do your research and definitely get a few quotes. But DEFINITELY give Wolfers a chance at winning your business! Levi M. 05/01/21 |

Installed gas lines for new range. Arrived within minutes of scheduled time. Assessed work necessary and updated estimate based upon amount of line needed. Suggested an option that saved a lot of money. Worked diligently for over three hours navigating nasty crawl space many times to get the job done. I initially thought the cost was high until I watched how much work went into it and decided I got off cheap.
