The team at Universe is seriously the best. Tim B is the manager there and he is incredibly knowledgeable, professional, punctual and treated me like if I was a family member of his. I converted from Oil to gas and added a water filer as well. Tim and his team installed everything in a matter of days. I spoke to Michelle yesterday morning and explained my Central A/C unit was not properly cooling. She said she would try to schedule a service appt as soon as possible and called me back a couple of hours later. I was able to get an appt the same night! Michelle was friendly, courteous, and understanding of my situation. Tom was scheduled between 5-9pm and arrived at 7:30. He quickly assessed my issue and charged my a/c unit to fix the problem. He determined I have a leak in my 33-year old unit (!), so the charge would only temporarily fix the issue, and on my request, called the office and scheduled an appt for me to have an estimate for a replacement unit, which I knew I would be needing soon anyway. My appt is tonight for the estimate. Tom was courteous, respectful, knowledgeable, and efficient. He had several appointments after mine, well into the evening, but did not make me feel rushed, and took the time to fully explain the issues and my options for resolution. He told me how much he enjoyed working at Universe and how great of a team they have, which I agree!. My parents have had their contracts with Universe for over 25 years and have always had fast, reliable, courteous service. Wonderful experience all around! (See More)

Universe inspected my boiler and did a wonderful scheduled service call. Great maintenance on the boiler from Tom W. Tom was also helpful and willing to answer all questions I asked.
Once again one of the Universe Home services team did a great and professional job (Tim W.) with servicing my hot water heater. Tim also gave me some great advice and helped with getting an appointment for a different issue that I inquired about. Thanks Tim W. and the Universe team.
Mike observed the task at hand, explained and gave me several options on how the work would be completed. In the end they Did an Amazing Job installing my New System. I highly recommend Mike and his team for your HVAC needs.
Bob did a great job explaining What it would take to install a three zone ductless system in my home. Bravo
Barney also did an Excellent Job tuning up my boiler system and sharing important maintenance requirements for my system.

I've a boiler/hot water heater contract customer since the 1990's. Have always been provided with very fast turn around time from the initial phone call to completion of service. This past week, on the recommendation of Universe technician Tom, the boiler was steam cleaned. Tom provided exemplary service and exhibited a robust knowledge of the steam system in my home. He checked and serviced every component within the system and verified that the boiler was operating at peak performance. Like many of the other technicians that have serviced equipment in my home, Tom was very sensitive to family members and cautioned them that the heat would be on for several hours and he would be moving boiler water from the basement to outside...much appreciated by my family.
I would whole-heartily recommend Universe Appliance, as I have to neighbors and other family living in Nassau County, to maintain HVAC equipment. And my sincere thanks to Tom for providing me with piece of mind concerning my home's equipment . (See More)

Tom W came out to clean our ductless ac. It was pretty dirty but he cleaned the unit, left the area clean as if he was never there. Machine is running quieter and circulating more air. We had Tom W. from Universe to tune up our A/C. Universe had a coupon on line for $99.95. Tom W. is extremely thorough. He checked the A/C unit outside and went into the attic. He saw that our A/C had several problems & also that it was installed in 1993. Tom gave us several options. We chose the least expense option of just replacing the thermostat because the A/C was old.
