My central AC stopped working in the muddle of a heat wave on the 4th. of July holiday. Not a good situation. I expected to wait days for service.When I called Universe I was so surprised and pleased that they came the same day. He worked for several hours to find the short that kept blowing a fuse, but had to come back the next day. I reminded him that the next day was the 4th.of July holiday and he replied "i'll be here" and he was. He spent hours in a sweltering attic, found the short and repaired it, fully covered by my service contract. To say that I am pleased is an understatement. Their service was outstanding and I can recommend them eagerly. By the way, tech Steve B. was absolutely the best. (See More)

I wish I could give them 5 stars! The salesman had told us a lot about the brand of condensing gas boiler. After Universe finished the job, a guy came from National Grid and could not turn on the unit. He said this is the first time he sees such a brand (Rinnai)! After calling Universe they confirmed that there is a need for purging in this model and that after finishing the job they should have waited for national grid to come! Anyway, Universe sent an emergency unit. Instead of being apologetic the emergency guy was mad and rude!!!! blaming the national grid guy!!! I will inform you guys how this will go from here with Rinnai brand. (See More)

Universe Appliance has replaced my 14 year old central air conditioner 2 years ago with a brand new unit. They did an excellent job then and I continue to have them do a service/ tuneup every year to make sure it’s running in tip top shape. I just recently had an issue with my unit and they serviced it within 2 days. Actually they came a day early as they had some free time which was great. I have had the same technician Steve B. I had a problem Sunday, during the Memorial Day weekend and was able to leave a message on line. I was called on Tuesday morning at 7:55am and Universal appliance scheduled the appointment for Tuesday morning between 8:00am and noon. The serviceman came at around 8:45am and was able to do the repair immediately! He was extremely nice, professional and competent. I only use Universal Appliance for all of our repairs.
