My gas heating system was in dire need of updating along with my hot water heater. I called Universe Home Service at the recommendation of a friend. I used them previously for appliance repair but hadn't considered them for a major plumbing job like this. John came over to give me an estimate. He was very helpful with suggestions an answered any questions I had. They're estimate was in line with others I had gotten, so because of my friend's recommendation and John's professionalism, I contracted Universe to perform the job. On the appointed day, plumbing technicians James, Sean and Tristan arrived promptly at the appointed time. They worked efficiently and professionally and completed the job right on the estimated timeframe. James took the time to explain everything about the new equipment answered any questions I might have had. The woman on the phone was amazing. Was able to get me in same day. Then the technician showed up on time and was amazing. He diagnosed and tuned up my AC and trueness I asked him while he’s here can he check boiler and hot water heater which is also under contract. He called the home base and they said no problem. This company is great!!! Been using them for years. Whenever I have an emergency they respond very quickly. The technicians are always professional and do a great job!!! James came to our house today for an AC call, and wound up checking my furnace and hot water heater while he was here. He then replaced my reserve tank. He was awesome!!!

Universe installed two ductless air conditioning units in my house and I am very pleased with the work that was done. They covered the floor and carpet and were very neat. They were very nice when I had questions and explained everything to me and in terms I would understand. After they finished they explained how the remote works and gave us the instruction booklets. Our Central Heating/Air Unit needed to be replaced. It was 19 years old. James, Spence and Melanie from Universe came to replace it. They were extremely professional. They took their time and did an excellent job! I though there was going to be dust and insulation all over the place. They kept everything very neat and clean. You would’ve never have known they had to cut a hole in the ceiling. They were all very friendly and polite. They were all a pleasure. By the time they left, our heat was blasting. They did an exceptional job and I would definitely ask for them if we need any other work done to our condo!!! (See More)

James R. was very helpful and polite. He arrived at our house at 4:15 PM . We had only low furnace heat on a very cold day. He determined that the problem was in the control board even though the furnace was only 2 years old and was installed by Universe. He went to his Merrick Office to get a new board, before the office closed at 5 PM. Then he returned and quickly installed it. He checked to make certain that both of our heating circuits were working properly. We got our full heat back. James R. was a true professional who knows furnaces. (See More)

I have to admit, Universe has surpassed my expectations on every level anticipated: Rate, Timeliness, Installation, Tidiness, and Cordiality. I embarked on my HVAC issue intending to only install new Central AC, but their offer for Furnace AC upgrade was too attractive. Within three weeks, we were signed, permitted, and neatly installed, with great service starting with Frank in Sales, Electrician Steve, and HVAC installers James & Chris. If you ever need a heater or AC shop no further. Frank the sales rep explained everything in advance and also quickly responded to my emails. Universe gave me a fair price on a quality Bryant gas heater, AC compressor and coil. Installation 1st class job by Joe D and James R. I did a good amount of shopping before I selected Universe.
