Yesterday morning, we thought our hot water heater was laking in the garage. Within in 1 hour of my call, "TJ" was on his way. In the meantime, I heard a loud crash in the garage, only to find that it wasn't the water heater, but a burst pipe in the ceiling as the ceiling fell with all the wet insulation and water gushing out of the broken pipe. I called TJ and said, "drive faster!" He assessed the problem and tended to it immediately. He called a water restoration company that came out in minutes. He was there until 6 pm working in the hot garage to repair the problem. He was kind, patient (at my freak out), and VERY competent. I will

Your employee came by first time an recommend they replace the sewer line was never done well it clogged a second an third time . Each time Thomas cleaned it out an charged 758.00x 3 = around 2300. To clean out a 15ft line second time he came he was quite rude towards the woman she's 70yo disabled lady and hes very intimidating , Thomas insists it was her fault , mean well this drain is 50 to 60 to and clogs frankly it needs rep lo racing, third time he came he seemed quite upset that he had to be ther and was insisting it was womans fault and again quite rude towards her . And heated words were exchanged that I had to change the situation before it got out of control .. the park was going to ma kno e her pay but came to agreement to have tenant only pay half . Still the aggravation was unwarranted . The woman is on a fixed income of 900. Per month she wont be able to do shopping or get her meds and I explicitly told Thomas this , but he kept insisting it was tenant fault (See More)

TJ’s customer service was beyond superior! Not only was he informative and prompt, but also very personable and friendly. He explained to me what was wrong with my kitchen sink and even taught me how to clear it on my own if it were to ever get stopped up by something. He showed up very quickly and had the job done in about 20 minutes. This was very helpful, as I am a law student and sometimes my coursework can be overwhelming, so having this problem fixed so quickly was a weight off of my shoulders. Also, all of my food needs to be cooked, so use of my sink is an absolute necessity. I wouldn’t ask for anyone else to help me with any possible future problems besides TJ! It is employees such as himself that give this company an excellent reputation and create customers for life. There certainly should be more TJs in this world! Thank you!!!

Had the Pink Plumber come out to my home for a problems with a sink in our bathroom. TJ Salvato came out the same day to find out exactly what had to be done. He diagnosed the problem and made suggestions as to what we could do. The choice was to take care of two issues and put in a new faucet. The next morning, he was here at 9:00 and took care of the entire job with a beautiful and clean job. He also verified that there were no problems with the adjoining sing. TJ then did a complete review of all of our plumbing and recommended a solution to our low-power shower and also our very old water softener. We paid with a credit card. There was no charge for just coming to our home as with other plumbers. The pricing was for the “job.”. We also have a bid on a new water filtration system that we are considering. We will definitely use TJ Salvato again for his excellent service and thoroughness in taking care of our problem and also thinking about how we can improve our plumbing needs in the future. I'm so pleased that we were blown off by McGill Plumbing who wanted us to wait for 5 days to get service. That gave us the fortunate opportunity to search for another plumber and we hit the jackpot with The Pink Plumber and their representative Tom Salvato. Not only did we get immediate, efficient, friendly service, but unlike so many others, there is no charge to discover what your issue is and receive an estimate. Tom was able to find an exact replacement for a 15 year old sink and have it first thing the next morning to do the job. The service included a complete check-up of the plumbing in our house at no extra charge.
I know that we not only saved a lot of money by McGill's inattention to our needs, but on one job they did for us in the past, they sent someone over with such a nasty attitude that I had to restrain myself from throwing him out of the house. I told them never to send that guy back for any future jobs. We never again have to search for a plumber for our plumbing needs - we will simply call The Pink Plumber! (See More)

When all of a sudden on a Sunday afternoon our carpet in our guest room closet was wet, The Pink Plumber was one of the very few companies that could guarantee they could get someone out that day! A different plumber from the same company came out Sunday but was unsuccessful at finding where our leak was coming from. We gave him the low down on the problem, explained the 2 ways he could fix the problem with different pricing. since it was raining hard we went with the harder but dryer method. Thomas arrived in a timely manner, appropriately dressed and with a helpful smile on his face. After professionally and thoroughly considering the work at hand he got started and removed an old water softener and repaired a troublesome leak in our old house's copper piping. The work was challenging I'm sure as it required many skills, cutting and measuring copper pipe, welding and screwing valves onto pipes not to mention dealing with the odd work that had been done by other owners in this old house. He also replaced an old valve that had frozen and was at risk of maybe failing. He did a most professional, complete and tidy job and was a pleasure to have on our property (work was in the hot as blazes garage)! I would trust him implicitly with any plumbing work I might need, regardless of the scope. I use Pink Plumber exclusively and as I have written before, my only concern is with their pricing. I have always been 100% satisfied with their work but have also always been left wondering if I paid too much. This is no reflection on the technicians - I'm quite sure they do not set the prices. But at the end of the day, let's be honest. The truth of the matter is skilled workers are hard to find and when your house is flooding or toilets overflowing, who really cares? Found The Pink Plumber through Home Adviser. They contacted me in less than 30 minutes and were able to schedule me in for the very next day. TJ was my plumber. He was on time, polite and respectful. He was able to fix my problem and checked all my faucets and drains along with my water heater and the washing machine water hook up. He showed me how to shut off the water to all the toilets, faucets, the washing machine and the water heater in case of a future emergency. Late on a Tuesday evening I experienced what turned out to be a sewer line backup that caused my two toilets to overflow at the same time. I immediately called the Pink Plumber and they had me scheduled first thing Wednesday morning. TJ arrived and I felt comfortable with him from the very beginning. He listened, asked questions and explained what he was going to do fix my problem. After many attempts at snaking without success he came to me and offered his explanation of what could be happening. I followed him up on the roof and he tried again. I was able to see the blockage through the camera lens. His guess was that I had orangeburg pipes running from the house to the city sewage due to the oval outline you could see from the camera view. He was right. He called in additional manpower and got to work. TJ's professionalism and knowledge turned a very stressful time into one that I could understand and trust. We had a water softener malfunction causing the brine to go into all our water lines clogging our tubs, faucets and tankless water heater. We had no water pressure. I just had my one year after installation inspection of the two toilets & kitchen faucet performed. The Pink Plumber sent T.J. to do the inspection. This is great because I ask for him whenever I need to have a visit from them. He was able to also point out that both of my single handle shower handles were leaking when the water is turned on. This I didn't notice before he pointed it out. This is the reason that I always request T.J.
This will allow me to have these repaired so that I do not have a problem with possible indoor flooding while I am away from the house in the Summer. T.J. always takes care of our needs, which is why we always call the Pink Plumber and ask for him for the service call. (See More)

TJ was very professional and knowledgeable about installing a gas line in our home. He quickly identified an existing line and was able to complete the job in a short time and without incident. We plan to request TJ to install our gas dryer and washer when it is delivered. TJ is a great representative for the Pink Plumber!
Once our gas dryer and washer were delivered, we promptly scheduled and requested TJ. Additionally, we wanted TJ to replace a valve for our gas grill and a spiget used for watering plants. TJ anticipated that the dryer and washer installation would be a tough job because of the very tight space and the fact the unit were stackable. TJ did not waste anytime coming up with a solution to ensure the dryer and washer were installed and without any damage. If it were anyone else, they would have probably walked away from the task. But not TJ, he demonstrated patience and skill getting the job done. Once that was done, he replaced the gas valve for the outdoor grill without issue. The last task, to replace the spiget for the reclaimed water turned out to be very difficult. TJ could not locate the cutoff valve because it was not clearly marked and it was buried more that 3 feet underground. It was getting late and I called the county emergency water service. They stated that it would take 1 - 2 hours before they would arrived. I thought TJ would say he was done for the day, but true to his character, he stated he would stay until they arrived and complete the job. The county emergency team finally showed and it took them another hour to locate the reclaimed water line. Through it all, TJ was courteous, patient and professional. He was able to complete the task of replacing the spiget.
My wife and I can't say enough about TJ, over the years we have had many individuals from different companies provide us with their services, but none come close to the outstanding service provided by TJ representing the Pink Plumber company. If you ever need someone who is honest, professional, able to solve complex problems and is a great guy, then TJ is your man!!! (See More)

The receptionist that I spoke to on the phone was helpful and courteous, fielding all questions I had and told me that she could get a plumber out to us the same day (having called in the afternoon, this was a huge boon). Had the Pink Plumber come out for a 2nd opinion as felt first company was out of their minds as the other company said I needed complete sewer pipe repair under foundation and backyard.
TJ had me watch scoping video with him and showed me everything so I could see what he was seeing. After going over everything all I needed was 10 feet of sewer replaced that was damaged due to tree root, rest of my pipes only need a cleaning not replacing. Remodeled 2nd floor shower. Notice shower leaked into 1st floor ceiling. Tried to isolate leak and determined that only leaked during use of shower. Called Pink Plumber locates in Tampa, Fl and requested TJ...had him on prior plumbing work not related to shower install. Performed leak investigation and found that shower drain was the issue after cutting exploratory hole in ceiling. He replaced with new shower drain and seal and redid elbow and cross section. Ran shower after work and no more leaks. Absolutely thrilled with work by JT and always take the time to explain work upfront and competes work with professionalism and expertise. Let's begin with Tech Mr. Salvato. Very nice to work with, knowledgeable and accommodating.
A copper pipe had sprung a leak inside a wall in my garage. Mr. Salvato showed up on a Saturday and tried as much as he could but couldn't locate the leak's exact location, expected, I guess, because the leak was behind the wall.
So, he called for a leak specialist who couldn't make it until the next morning (Sunday.) The leak specialist found the leak in short order. He replaced a 12-inch section of copper pipe from which the leak came. It took him, I am guessing, around 20 minutes or so to do the repair. It looks fine.
Now, let's examine the costs. I realize Mr. Salvato came out on a Saturday and I expected to pay a little more. He spent around an hour or more searching for the leak, which involved cutting two holes in
the soggy fiberboard and drilling out a section of concrete footing.
Therein lies my problem — the cost.
I mentioned I expected to pay more for a Saturday visit, but more than $400?
So, on Sunday the leak tech came out and found the leak in short order and replaced a 12-inch section of copper pipe. I am guessing he spent a short time searching for the leak and spent, I am guessing, 20 minutes on the repair. The cost $461.00. Originally Mr. Salvato quoted me $400 plus another $100 for Saturday’s visit and the Sunday leak repair. I paid $521.88 on Saturday that included, he said, the additional $100 for the leak test on Sunday for the total of $521.88.
On Sunday, the priced changed. He told me the leak test and repair would be around $460 additional. I argued with him and told him we agreed Saturday the total would be $521.88. He said that was the best he could do. I said never mind I was going to get another opinion on the repair and after going back and forth arguing about the price, he dropped the price by $200. Why didn't he quote me that lower price originally? Bait and switch?
He asked me if I would like to have a restoration company estimate the cost of restoration, a company he works with. I said yes.
The restoration company came out Sunday to review the situation. The tech was very nice and said she would sent me a quote my email Monday morning. I said fine, and that I was going to get one or two quotes. She said that was fine with her.
Mr. Salvato looked disturbed shook my hand and left.
The restoration clerk said he was quite mad. I said I noticed that, too. She said he probably was upset because he wouldn't get credit for the referral of her company.
First, I always get more than one quote for any work I need. It is the proper thing to do.
Second, as a journalist we do not trust anyone, because we have been lied to so many times. There is an old saying among t journalists: If you mother tells you something is fine, check the facts.
Third, I do not like to be rushed into my decisions.
That is one of the reasons I would not recommend this company.
Bottom line, I paid a total of $824.69, not including the restoration and replacement I have coming up next.
In my opinion this plumbing company's prices are exorbitant. I don't mind paying my share but to quote a high price and then lower it because of pressure from a customer is dishonest.

I liked the fact that I was sent an email with TJ's picture so I knew who would be arriving. TJ and I both agreed it was not the greatest picture but he was efficient, friendly and knowledgeable. We would request him in the future. Pink Plumber was not my first choice as the first two I called could not come out for 2-3 days but you can be sure they will be my first choice in the future. I'm in the middle of remodeling my home. I was working on some of the plumbing, when I got in over my head. I've used The Pink Plumber before on some of my rental homes, so the choice to call them for my own home was obvious. "TJ" arrived and while I'm sure he may have wanted to laugh at the mess I made, he didn't. He was friendly and professional. He fixed the leak I created and helped with some other plumbing that was beyond my own abilities to do. I was very impressed with his work. I'm also thankful he was at my house within an hour of my panicked phone call. I have used other plumbing services in the past years ago (competitors of The Pink Plumber), but I always felt like they were selling me on protection plans and recommending services I didn't need. I don't get that vibe at all from The Pink Plumber. I recommend them as a homeowner, a landlord and as a Realtor. Ask for TJ. (See More)

The tech wanted to charge $300 to video the vent stack. I explained that the toilet and vanity shared a vent stack and there were no issues with the vanity. He had no other options to offer aside from the $300 diagnostic PLUS whatever the cost would be to repair a toilet that wouldn't flush. My wife came home, googled the problem and fixed it while I was still at work. It won't be, but that should be a source of embarrassment. (See More)

The rating is for the quickness they came and for the technician who was very helpful and polite. Prices are way to high. Paid $185 for something that other plumbers would charge $75. Total would have been $765 yet we turned down the offer. Another company performed the same job for $225. Again, good company and personnel, just pricing is not in accordance to market. (See More)

Thomas was very helpful and courteous.
He found the commode was "rocking"
and he shimmed it, cut off the bolt so the cap would fit on it and caulked it. Now it appears to fit perfectly against the floor with no rocking !

It is so refreshing to have a service employee be so honest, professional and competent. TJ was all of these and more. He listened to my concerns and offered suggestions and answers.
