Pratt Plumbing is the best. Even though they were closed on December 23, John, the owner, came over and turned off my water because my pipes were frozen and I was leaving town. He came back on December 26 (even though they were still closed) and turned the water back on and made sure there was no damage. I've used them for the last several years, and they are always courteous and prompt. (See More)

The appointment was easy to set up, and the receptionist was careful to schedule it when John, who has special training in installing safety devices would be avaliable. We had our water heater replaced by John and Damon of Pratt Plumbing. John came to our home first to assess the situation and provide his professional advice as to the types of heaters available and which ones would work best in our home environment. John was very knowledgeable and answered all our questions. He provided a budget range to suit our needs. On the day of installation, Damon prepped the area and was very mindful of protecting our floors and carpet. Our house is a small 1920's Victorian cottage, which comes with the typical challenges of a "This Old House" project. Damon was mindful of all our concerns. They each worked quickly and professionally. Happily, they came within budget, which is a relief to anyone who cringes at the thought of an unexpected plumbing project. John came out to fix our tub and lavatory today. He was courteous and extremely helpful. We had been advised by another plumbing company to spend more than $1,000 to fix the tub. Finally found a plumber that helped with an issue I have been having for months, or possibly years!
I have been looking for a plumber that I feel I could trust and that would be reliable. I feel like Pratt Plumbing is the company I have been looking for. I asked John & Robert to go through my house and check all the plumbing fixtures, drain the tankless water heater and to PLEASE help me identify where an ongoing odor in my house could possibly be coming from. As John was going through his checklist, he was able to identify what was causing the odor and fixed it right away.

I walked into the house this afternoon (post-freeze) and realized we had a bad leak. Called Pratt in a panic, John came within the hour, and quickly took control of our watery situation. What a relief! A short while later I asked him about cleaning companies, and I was able to find a cleaner/restorer before the afternoon was out. Long story short, my afternoon began with total despair, and ended with me congratulating myself for getting it under control by sundown. Our water heater started leaking (19 years old) and needed to get it handled before the busy holiday. We called around to our regular plumber and company. Either a no call back or they refused to give us an estimate. Gary's Heating and Air recommended Pratt Plumbing as a reliable plumbing company. Calling Pratt had a service pro, John, at our door that morning. They provided an estimate and he even brought the right water heater with him. John was very courteous, clean, and thorough. He explained all that needed to be done and went right to work.
He came in right on the estimate and explained everything he had done and went through the operation of the new water heater. Pratt Plumbing has become our new plumber and hope all of their service pros are as good as John. (See More)

Andrea was very professional and helpful from the moment she took my call. Damon came out later that day to assess the problem and after a diligent search discovered that my water heater was leaking at the top instead of the bottom. he did a thorough search of finding my best options based on the limited space in the water heater cabinet and pricing. The next day Damon and John came out for the installation. It was a difficult install because of the space there was to work in for the install. Both men were polite explain what was going on and all of the things there were having to add to meet City codes. They did a great job and I am really glad to have used Pratt Plumbing. (See More)

Great experience!My kitchen sink backed up and we called another local plumber. They came by, gave us a really high quote, and then never got back to me. I called Pratt's once. John came out and was incredibly helpful. he listened to what the other plumber had done, and offered a different solution. What was originally a $2500 estimate turned into $250 because it seems Pratt's isn't in the business of being wrong or scamming people out of their money. I was looking for something to help with the hard water deposits in my new home I purchased. Convinced I needed a water softener but not really wanting one, I called Pratt Plumbing. Gary was very informative and provided me with options. He didn't push one but instead gave me information and then encouraged me to look it up for myself. I chose the One Flow system. Andrea was very helpful and got me scheduled and kept me informed when the technician would be here. John came today to install the system and a new hot water heater. My water heater had an intermittent leak for approximately 2 years until it finally decided it had enough of being in my house by becoming a constant leak. Of course, this was a Saturday night. I called Sunday afternoon after bailing out the drip pan about 100 times hoping it would heal itself while trying to barter with it. John returned my call within 10 minutes and asked several questions. He recommended waiting until Monday morning to get my situation under control. At about 0815 Monday morning, Andrea called to schedule a time for them to come out and remove my sad and tired water heater. I talked to her and John again about some options. Damon was at my house within an hour after getting off the phone. He had everything he needed and went over some options with me again. He got it done within four hours. That included draining both water heaters and putting a brand new shiny one in their place. He was also very patient. I am very very happy with the service I received from all parties involved. My new water heater is an AO Smith that sounds like a man's water heater when it fires off!! It's not loud, but you can tell it's serious! They didn't try to up-sell me anything. I felt they were very honest and helpful....which is something to be said. I have never written a review before, so that should also say something. This is a company I will always call again for my future plumbing needs. (See More)

We were very pleased with the service they provided to us to repair several gas leaks under our house and replace the gas line in our yard. Gary responded very promptly to give us an estimate for the repairs and offered some alternative suggestions for ways to reduce the repair costs compared to the other estimate we were given.
