Pann Home Services recently installed a new AC Compressor and corresponding air handler in my home. Both Ryan and Nick were professional, efficient and courteous through out the entire job. They answered all questions, explained what had to get done and did not leave till I was comfortable with the new equipment. In addition, this past winter Pann Home Services also fixed my boiler and had it working in top form where as numerous other companies did not know where to start. I've used PANN for three years to install and service my HVAC systems. I, also, maintain a service contract with them. They are trust-worthy and reliable. Ryan, who is courteous and patient, came out recently to complete a seasonal check on my units and to make sure they were running properly and efficiently. Before using PANN, I had another local company install a new system, which never worked properly. After several service calls to the "other guys" I was told that heat pumps do not work well in extreme cold and that was why the temperature would not go above 58 degrees. Really?!! Then why did you install it? Living in a brownstone building with several other units, heat pumps are the best option for heating and cooling each individual unit. Tired of dealing with the "other guys," I contacted PANN. Within one hour the problem was diagnosed, which the "other guys" could never do. The "other guy" system was never installed correctly from the beginnning. The condensors were not compatible with the air handlers!! Anyway, PANN refigured the system, not without cost, but both the heat and air conditioning work extremely well. Very happy customer... (See More)

Pann Home Services anwered my phone call quickly and scheduled a date and time for service convenient for me. they gave a four hour range. On the scheduled day, they called and gave me an exact time and Ryan arrived on time. he quickly checked every area that could cause my problem with our gas fireplace. It was a complex issue which they fixed in a reasonable time and checked to be sure everything was safe and secure before leaving. EXCELLENT service. (See More)

Courteous, professional, and offering advice to save me money (helped me access current coupons on offer), it was a great experience and all problems were solved in the first visit (all parts on truck). Ryan arrived within the scheduled time. He was very courteous and was able to point one of the issues right away (a blown fuse on the furnace). However, this was pretty much the extent of the diagnosis and service provided. After testing the power at the furnace, Ryan was not able to get the AC back in working condition. For some reason he could not determine why the thermostat could not receive power. After he left, I was able to determine on my own that the thermostat was malfunctioning. After replacing it with a new unit, the AC started working again. Disappointing, to say the least - paid about $225 for a diagnosis which missed the testing of the thermostat. And in the end, resolving the problem myself. In addition, he also said they had to come back and bring a different person who would be able to get a wire connecting the AC condenser unit to the furnace replaced. It was also disappointing because I had thought they would have sent someone who was able to do that in one appointment. The quote provided to do that was also outrageous (almost $1,000) - so I said no to it. I ended up going to the local hardware store, buying t-stat wire and replacing the wire myself. All in all, not the experience I was expecting. I had contacted Pann based on a friend's recommendation. I was left with the feeling that Ryan, although a nice guy, was not the most knowledgeable person and that I overpaid for the service. Thus, I cannot say I will suggesting any of my friends/family hire Pann for future needs. I am happy to discuss this experience with Pann management, if you chose to contact me. (See More)

I am very unhappy. For two days I have turned the air condition. and it is not cooling. The thermostat say 83 10AM. Now it is 8:00PM, the thermostat still say it is 83. I am now perspiring. This was the same situation yesterday. I tried to call the office but it just said leave a message and I was really up set. Something has to done. (See More)

Ryan was great. He was very professional & knowledgeable. We just moved into our new condo & has no idea how to even turn on our old gas fireplace. He figured it out for us, cleaned it, showed us how to use it, was extremely neat & very pleasant. I was extremely impressed. I would highly recommend them & would use them again in a minute. Ryan was great, but we are going to look for another company. In the end of 2013 we had a unit replaced by your company. 3.5 years later Ryan told me that we need a $1500 fix because the outdoor disconect is shot due to water getting into it. Interesting as I had one of your people come look at it specifically a while ago, while it was still in the covered period, he did nothing, did not even tell me this was an issue. In addition, it is an old style run capacitor with a booster which Ryan told me is harder on the condenser. We have had trouble with this unit from day 1. As I am a couple of years out from replacing our two other units we will be looking for a company that takes greater responsibility for their work. Thank you (See More)

Ryan had been to my home previously to check my heating system. He determined there was a problem with the condenser and offered me two options. Replace the rusty parts or get a whole new condenser. I decided to go new. When the new one came in, Debbie called to set up a day for installation. Soon after Ryan and Kollin arrived and quietly, unobtrusively they went to work. In spite of the rain that day, they left my house so no one would know they'd been there. Just great. I look forward to their return in the summer to check out mt air conditioning! (See More)

I called Pann because I had an issue with my gas fireplace. It took awhile to get an appointment (over a month, maybe 2), so I wish the wait weren't that long. However, once Ryan and Kollin were here, they did a thorough job of explaining the issue, fixing everything, making sure it was in good shape going forward, and telling me what maintenance to do going forward. I could not ask for better service! I have used Pann for home services for about 15 years. In this situation, I contacted them on 1/2 about a problem with my furnace. Ryan came out the next day and determined that I would need to replace the furnace. Ryan and Kollin came today and installed the new unit - they were pleasant and professional and left the basement spotless. My new furnace is working just fine. I really appreciate how quickly they were able to provide installation. Everyone involved, the team in the office, as well as Ryan and Kollin were easy to work with, very responsive and helpful. Pann Home Services has been my go to source for HVAC for several years now. While doing a routine semi-annual on my furnace they found some serious problems with the heat exchanger, when I saw the crack in the exchanger I was horrified to think that gasses had been seeping out thru the heating system. Within a short time, the guys replaced the furnace and at the same time I had my 8 yr. old water heater replaced. The professionalism of these guys is incredible. Work done within a day for each project and not a bit of residual mess, I was amazed. The crew introduced themselves, wore booties to come up and replace thermostat in living room. I tend to be a fault finder, as my friends can attest, but, I could not find one thing to complain about. Ryan, Kellin & Tim were an attribute to this fine company, I can't recommend them enough. * With winter here and concerns about high levels of CO-2 found in homes, and some of the tragedies I hear about, I'm just super glad that I have an annual service contract with Pann. I am nowhere near as happy with this experience as I have been in the past. I had an appointment 2 weeks earlier and was told the parts needed for my furnace would likely take 1 week to come in. When I hadn't heard in 1 week I called and was told they would be in by the end of the week. When no one called me, I called back the following Monday to find that they had just arrived. I was given an appointment and asked to be at the end of the 4 hour window, to which they agreed. The tech was close to an hour late and only half the job could be done. I am still waiting for a call to schedule the remainder of the work. As always, when the work is done, it's good. But the organization is lacking. (See More)

Ryan showed me a problem with my heater and replaced a part . He pointed out other problems I have but i'm holding off right now because my heat pump is fairly old and I don,t want to put anymore money into it. I'm waiting for a price to replace the unit in the coming months. I would definitely refer Pann to friends and family. (See More)

Every year I use Pann Home Services to check on my furnace. From start to finish this is a very professional experience, replete with reminder calls beforehand and this followup afterwards. Naturally the Service tries to sell products (in my case a $500 plus addition to their services). But: and I appreciate this: it is not a hard sell, just a recommendation. Last year I had another company clean my gas fireplace. After they left, it began to make an odd sound. I called them back and was told they no longer serviced my area. Needless to say, I was looking for another company! I called Pann and was greeted by a friendly and pleasant person. We set up an appointment with a four hour window. The night before the call, they called back to confirm and shortened the window to 2 hours. Yeah! Ryan arrived at my door - neat and friendly and immediately covered his shoes and set right to work. Within minutes he called me to take a look. The prior company had left a softball sized mound of dirt under the blower causing it to be unbalanced and make too much noise. Since the call didn't take long, they only charged me the service fee. That was a very pleasant surprise. Ryan quickly cleaned up (although he had put down a mat, so there wasn't a mess to begin with} and went on to his next appointment. I couldn't have had a better experience and I will use them again and recommend them to friends and family. Thank you! They deserve 5 stars - respectful of client's time and home, courteous and friendly, professional and very reasonable. No wonder they've stayed in business when others fail. (See More)

My ac broke down monday night so I called them tuesday at 7pm. I explained we have a baby and it was really hot for him. After a long time on hold they came back and told me they would send someone that same afternoon. They came over and fix the problem immediately. Im so thankful. Everyone in the company was helpful! I have used Pann for years. They are a little high on prices but worth it because they are so clean. Recently, however. I had a very bad experience with them. I had called to have four smoke detectors replaced.Somehow the order was put in as change the batteries. The person who came was great and changed the batteries and was done in 15 minutes. I had assumed the smoke detectors were being replaced and agreed to a price of 300.00. It was not until the serviceperson left and I read the repair sheet that I realized it did indeed say replace batteries. A couple of phone calls took care of it and the bill was adjusted but it took a couple of phone calls and a bit of arguing on my part to get it straightened out. I am not that aggressive a person so it was sort of hard to make the second call when I did not get a call back. I have had a bad feeling about this ever since. It bothered me that someone would actually write up a bill to change four smoke detector batteries and put down 300.00 as the charge in the first place. Someone should have caught that or, at least, not have put a customer in the position of almost having to beg to have it corrected. (See More)

I recently moved to Milton and both heating systems are acting up. I signed up with Pann Home Services as the prior owner also used them prior. Miscommunication led me to expect workman to arrive at an earlier time than was the case; he showed up as soon as the problem was made apparent. He diagnosed the problem to be greater than I had thought and offered a (likely) solution, to which I agreed. It will involve more time, effort and cost than one might wish. I have to assume that his diagnosis is correct and not an attempt to require more work than is necessary (a ploy used by other companies). On Wednesday when the work is to be done I can judge more accurately. Incidentally, your choice of ratings should include "not relevant," since "quality of work done" is not relevant in this case. Although my repairman's visit had twice to be rescheduled, when he did arrive he did an excellent job of tuning up and cleaning my furnace, spotting problems and dealing with them in an efficient manner. The persons I dealt with on the phone were also very courteous and caring. PANN's prices are high, but so is the level of the work done. My only complaint is that when one is put on hold, the music and frequent announcements can drive you batty. (See More)

Ryan O'Neil came out in early May to do my AC service. He found that I needed a new capacitor and so I called to schedule that service. I was happy to see Ryan come back to do the work, as well as clean my air handler. He is polite and pleasant. He does the job efficiently and he is thorough. He is respectful of my home, always cleaning up behind himself and always putting shoe covers on without being asked to do so. I certainly hope I don't need any more AC service in the near future, but I would be happy to have Ryan do more work in my home. (See More)

Woke up this morning with my furnace blowing cold air. YIKES ! What to do ?! I called PANN, who came recommended by a friend on Blanchard Road in Cambridge. I was called right back in just a few minutes by Michael, he set up a time that worked for me for a tech to come out. After returning from church, I confirmed a time and within the hour Ryan called to tell me he was on his way. Ryan determined the part that was needed and I asked that he replace any other old parts that might go bad. My system was installed new 12 years ago so I assumed it would be ready for a few things. After replacing the needed parts I am now sitting back enjoying the warmth again. The PANN team are now my " GO TO GUYS " when I need any HVAC ~ plumbing or other repairs around the house.
